  abstract     = {{In multiobjective optimization, set-based performance indicators are commonly used to assess the quality of a Pareto front approximation. Based on the scalarization obtained by these indicators, a performance comparison of multiobjective optimization algorithms becomes possible. The R2 and the Hypervolume (HV) indicator represent two recommended approaches which have shown a correlated behavior in recent empirical studies. Whereas the HV indicator has been comprehensively analyzed in the last years, almost no studies on the R2 indicator exist. In this extended version of our previous conference paper, we thus perform a comprehensive investigation of the properties of the R2 indicator in a theoretical and empirical way. The influence of the number and distribution of the weight vectors on the optimal distribution of µ solutions is analyzed. Based on a comparative analysis, specific characteristics and differences of the R2 and HV indicator are presented. Furthermore, the R2 indicator is integrated into an indicator-based steady-state evolutionary multiobjective optimization algorithm (EMOA). It is shown that the so-called R2-EMOA can accurately approximate the optimal distribution of µ solutions regarding R2.}},

  abstract     = {{Wie arbeitete Berlioz als Librettist? Dass der Opernkomponist Berlioz sich auf Gluck und Spontini als Vorbilder berief, das heißt, dass sein das eigene Schaffen untermauernder Rückblick die moderne französische grand opéra seit den ausgehenden 1820er-Jahren gewissermaßen übersprang, ist schon angesichts der schieren Präsenz der Werke Aubers, Halévys und Meyerbeers auf den europäischen Spielplänen als sehr bewusst angewandte diskursive Strategie aufzufassen. Eine offene Frage ist dabei diejenige nach den eigentlichen poetologischen Funktionsgrundlagen dieses spezifisch Berlioz’schen Traditionsbezugs. So erscheint es lohnend, an dieser Stelle einen Schritt hinter den musikalischen Kompositionsprozess zurückzugehen zu dessen librettistisch-dramaturgischen Grundlegungen und zu fragen, inwieweit Berlioz – in seiner Funktion als sein eigener Librettist – den musiktheatralen Text (hier: im Sinne eines umfassenden, die medialen Ebenen Sprache, Musik, Bühne einschließenden Textbegriffs) so vorstrukturierte, dass er sein vom Mainstream der grand opéra seiner Zeit deutlich verschiedenes opernkompositorisches Konzept zu tragen vermochte. Betrifft Berlioz’ Orientierung an älteren Vorbildern der französischen Oper unbestritten die Wahl des antiken Sujets, so zielt sie aber, davon ausgehend und gleichzeitig darüber weit hinausgehend, auch auf eine Art Wiedergewinnung von Raum für die genuin musikalische Mitteilung. Berlioz erarbeitet sich dies in Abgrenzung zu jener Dramaturgie der modernen französischen Oper seiner Zeit, deren zentrale Errungenschaft die musiktheatrale Präsentation einer in realistischer Weise voranschreitenden, innerhalb des Werks geschlossenen Handlung war. Die Fragmentierung der Dramaturgie (im Sinne einer Auflösung des Primats der Stringenz der Intrige), die Berlioz dafür nicht nur in Kauf nimmt, sondern überaus gezielt betreibt, darf wohl gleichermaßen als eine am barock-klassischen Muster orientierte, wie auf die Modernen des späteren 19. und des 20. Jahrhunderts vorausweisende Strategie begriffen werden. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt dabei auf den Selbstzitaten, die Berlioz in “Les Troyens” verwendet, allen voran wird hier erstmals in der Forschungsliteratur die Verwendung der “idée fixe” aus der “Symphonie fantastique” in den Blick genommen.}},

  abstract     = {{We propose a new detector of primary users in cognitive radio networks. The main novelty of the proposed detector in comparison to most known detectors is that it is based on sound statistical principles for detecting cyclostationary signals. In particular, the proposed detector is (asymptotically) the locally most powerful invariant test, i.e. the best invariant detector for low signal-to-noise ratios. The derivation is based on two main ideas: the relationship between a scalar-valued cyclostationary signal and a vector-valued wide-sense stationary signal, and Wijsman’s theorem. Moreover, using the spectral representation for the cyclostationary time series, the detector has an insightful interpretation, and implementation, as the broadband coherence between frequencies that are separated by multiples of the cycle frequency. Finally, simulations confirm that the proposed detector performs better than previous approaches.}},
