The frequency-domain\r\ncoupled-mode models then combine these into fully vectorial approximations for the optical electromagnetic\r\nfields of the composite structure. Following a discretization of amplitude functions by 1D finite elements, pro-\r\ncedures from the realm of finite-element numerics are applied to establish systems of linear equations for the then-\r\ndiscrete modal amplitudes. Examples substantiate the functioning of the technique and allow for some numerical\r\nassessment. We\r\nconsider quasi-confined, attenuated modes that propagate at oblique angles with respect to\r\nthe axis through the center of curvature. Our analytical model describes the transition from\r\nscalar 2-D TE/TM bend modes to lossless spiral waves at near-axis propagation angles,\r\nwith a continuum of vectorial attenuated spiral modes in between. Modal solutions are\r\ncharacterized in terms of directional wavenumbers and attenuation constants. Examples for\r\nvectorial mode profiles illustrate the effects of oblique wave propagation along the curved\r\nslab segments. Besides exploring the static shape of the examined system, observing the machines' mechanics (e.g., motor-driven mechanisms) and transport routes for the material transport (e.g., via conveyor belts or chains, or rail-based transport systems) can play an equally important role in such a review. In practice it is often the case, that the relevant information about transport routes, or kinematic properties is either not consequently modeled in the CAD data or is lost during conversion processes. To significantly reduce the manual effort and costs for creating animations of the machines complex behavior with such limited input data for a design review, we present a set of algorithms to automatically determine geometrical properties of machine parts based only on their triangulated surfaces. The algorithms allow to detect the course of transport systems, the orientation of objects in 3d space, rotation axes of cylindrical objects and holes, the number of tooth of gears, as well as the tooth spacing of toothed racks. While generally without alternative, such fixing efforts are a major cost factor, which is why companies have a vital interest in focusing their secure software development activities such that they obtain an optimal return on this investment. We investigate, in this paper, quantitatively the major factors that impact the time it takes to fix a given security issue based on data collected automatically within SAP's secure development process, and we show how the issue fix time could be used to monitor the fixing process. We use three machine learning methods and evaluate their predictive power in predicting the time to fix issues. Interestingly, the models indicate that vulnerability type has less dominant impact on issue fix time than previously believed. The time it takes to fix an issue instead seems much more related to the component in which the potential vulnerability resides, the project related to the issue, the development groups that address the issue, and the closeness of the software release date. This indicates that the software structure, the fixing processes, and the development groups are the dominant factors that impact the time spent to address security issues. SAP can use the models to implement a continuous improvement of its secure software development process and to measure the impact of individual improvements. The development teams at SAP develop different types of software, adopt different internal development processes, use different programming languages and platforms, and are located in different cities and countries. Insbesondere additiv hergestellte Leichtbaukonstruktionen weisen ein hohes Potential für den Elektromaschinenbau auf. In diesem Paper werden erste Ansätze zur additiven Fertigung einer Rotorwelle für eine permanentmagneterregte Synchronmaschine (PMSM) aufgezeigt. Die Verbesserung einer ausgeprägten Leichtbaukonstruktion der Rotorwelle sowie die Charakterisierung des additiv verarbeiteten Werkstoffs werden aufgeführt. Hierzu wurden Prüfkörper aus dem Werkstoffs H13 (1.2344) hergestellt. Des Weiteren wurden Prüfkörper additiv gefertigter Gitterstrukturen entwickelt und untersucht. Zur Werkstoffcharakterisierung wurden sowohl mechanische Eigenschaften ermittelt, wie die Streckgrenze, die Zugfestigkeit und die Härte als auch elektromagnetische Eigenschaften, wie die Koerzitivfeldstärke, die elektrische Leitfähigkeit und die Permeabilität. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die magnetischen Eigenschaften von H13 durch eine angeschlossene Wärmebehandlung deutlich verbessert werden konnten. Im Anschluss an die Werkstoffcharakterisierung wurde ein innovatives Leichtbau-Rotorwellenkonzept mit internen Gitterstrukturen entwickelt.
