The In2O3 was synthesized by structure replication procedure from cubic KIT-6 silica. A detailed analysis of the morphology of the mesoporous powders as well as of the prepared sensing layer will be shown. Unique properties arise from the synthesis method of structure replication such as well defined porosity in the mesoporous regime and nanocrystallites with high thermal stability up to 450 °C. These properties are useful for the application in semiconducting gas sensors. In this work a similar technique is used to theoretically investigate a hybrid nanostructure which consists of a metal aperture and a quantum wire. It is shown that one can concentrate the optically excited electron density at an arbitrary position due to wave packet dynamics by chosing particular frequency components and phases of the chirped laser pulse. Moreover, the response of unexcited semiconductors to extremely intense THz fields is investigated .The intersubband transitions of optically excited quantum wells using linear THz spectroscopy is also studied. The computed differential transmission shows a characteristic Fano-like line shape of the intersubband resonance. The pure intersubband contribution is given by a simple Lorentzian. Applying the microscopic theory, the Fano features of the total response can be attributed to the phase-sensitive superposition of the intersubband transitions and the ponderomotive contribution. In our scenario, each point can open a facility and moves continuously along a known trajectory in a d-dimensional Euclidean space where d is a constant.\r\n\r\nOur kinetic data structure has a storage requirement of O(n (log^d(n)+log(nR))), where n is the number of points and R is the ratio of the product of the maximum maintenance cost and demand to the product of their corresponding minimum values. It uses key-frame based animation. The number of animated objects may grow constantly in complex simulation models, which might lead to an amount of animations that is too big to be computed in real-time. By the use of a dynamic adjustment, the presented algorithm prefers important animations. Less relevant animations are updated rarely, whereby the selection itself is taken by multiple indicators, e.g. the visible size of the animated object on the screen, in order to keep a good optical impression. Dependent on the computing power of the computer, the algorithm controls the animations in such a way, that the fluid visualization of a large number of objects is still possible. Though the algorithm is to be used within a material flow simulator, it is moreover implemented in a specific animation editor, which allows the design and control of animation schemes. It supports the use of grouping to allow the creation of hierarchical structures for complex animations in a fast and easy manner. The evaluation of the algorithm is proven by a test scene, consisting of tens of thousands animated objects. In a case study, the Use Case Point (UCP) method was applied to 15 commercial software development projects. The estimated efforts were compared with the incurred project efforts. We measured a standard deviation of 42 %. This is not acceptable for industrial usage. Therefore, we propose appropriate improvements of the Use Case Point method leading to significantly higher estimation accuracy with only 20 % standard deviation.
