Wohnen im Hinblick auf den Computer prägen. Andererseits denken sie den Computer
aus der Perspektive der Wohnumgebungen neu und geben so einen kompakten medienhistorischen
Überblick über den Beginn des Smart Homes.

Android apps collect data from users, and the European Union’s General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) mandates clear disclosures of such data collection. However,
apps often use third-party code, complicating accurate disclosures. This paper
investigates how accurately current Android apps fulfill these requirements. In
this work, we present a multi-layered definition of privacy-related data to correctly
report data collection in Android apps. We further create a dataset of privacy-sensitive
data classes that may be used as input by an Android app. This dataset takes into
account data collected both through the user interface and system APIs. Based
on this, we implement a semi-automated prototype that detects and labels privacy-related
data collected by a given Android app. We manually examine the data safety sections
of 70 Android apps to observe how data collection is reported, identifying instances
of over- and under-reporting. We compare our prototype’s results with the data
safety sections of 20 apps revealing reporting discrepancies. Using the results
from two Messaging and Social Media apps (Signal and Instagram), we discuss how
app developers under-report and over-report data collection, respectively, and
identify inaccurately reported data categories. A broader study of 7,500 Android
apps reveals that apps most frequently collect data that can\r\n partially
identify\r\n users. Although system APIs consistently
collect large amounts of privacy-related data, user interfaces exhibit some more
diverse data collection patterns. A more focused study on various domains of apps
reveals that the largest fraction of apps collecting personal data belong to the
domain of\r\n Messaging and Social Media\r\n
\ . Our findings show that location is collected frequently
by apps, specially from the\r\n E-commerce and
Shopping\r\n domain. However, it is often under-reported
in app data safety sections. Our results highlight the need for greater consistency
in privacy-aware app development and reporting practices.\r\n "

testing is widely used in the automotive and materials industries to assess the
corrosion resistance of protective coatings, where uniform corrosion is a key
indicator of material performance. This work presents a numerical uniform corrosion
model that predicts the corrosion rate of hot-dip zinc in salt-spray environments
by incorporating electrochemical reactions, mass transport via the Nernst–Planck
equation, and ionic-strength effects through the Brønsted–Bjerrum relation. The
model is calibrated using immersion-test data and extended to account for electrolyte
layer growth, droplet deposition, and periodic run-off in salt-spray environments.
The calibration establishes a relationship between the porosity of the zinc oxide
layer and the rate constant of zinc oxide precipitation. The validated model reproduces
the transition from activation- to diffusion-controlled corrosion and captures
the experimentally observed corrosion kinetics with an error margin of 20% when
electrolyte renewal is included. The results highlight the decisive role of electrolyte
dynamics in salt-spray environments and provide a foundation for extending the
framework to more complex cyclic corrosion tests."

text: Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools play a vital role in modern
software development by automatically detecting potential vulnerabilities in source
code. However, their effectiveness is often limited by a high rate of false positives,
which wastes developer's effort and undermines trust in automated analysis. This
work presents a Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) model designed to predict SAST
reports as true and false positive. The model leverages Code Property Graphs (CPGs)
constructed from static analysis results to capture both, structural and semantic
relationships within code. Trained on the CamBenchCAP dataset, the model achieved
an accuracy of 100% on the test set using an 80/20 train-test split. Evaluation
on the CryptoAPI-Bench benchmark further demonstrated the model's practical applicability,
reaching an overall accuracy of up to 96.6%. A detailed qualitative inspection
revealed that many cases marked as misclassifications corresponded to genuine
security weaknesses, indicating that the model effectively reflects conservative,
security-aware reasoning. Identified limitations include incomplete control-flow
representation due to missing interprocedural connections. Future work will focus
on integrating call graphs, applying graph explainability techniques, and extending
training data across multiple SAST tools to improve generalization and interpretability.

Objectives. Computational Thinking\r\n (CT) has
become a central theme in K–12 Computer Science education. Over the past twenty
years, multiple conceptualizations of CT have emerged, many forming the basis
for assessment instruments. One such conceptualization was developed for the large-scale\r\n
\ International Computer and Information
Literacy Study\r\n (ICILS), which assessed CT
across 24 countries using representative sampling. The size and sampling quality
of the ICILS data set allow for robust statistical analyses which in turn will
be of interest to researchers and policy-makers alike. This study situates the
ICILS 2023 conceptualization of CT within other established frameworks and conducts
a secondary analysis of the ICILS 2023 CT data on non-cognitive antecedents and
processes.\r\n \r\n \r\n Methods\r\n . Structured deductive
content analyses compare the ICILS 2023 items with those from the\r\n Bebras Challenge on Informatics and Computational Thinking\r\n
\ [13] (\r\n Bebras\r\n
\ ) and the\r\n Computational
Thinking Test\r\n [55]) (\r\n CTt\r\n
\ ), mapped across three CT frameworks—ICILS [28], Shute et al.
[65] and Weintrop et al. [71]—and aligned with Bloom's revised taxonomy [2]. Linear
regression analyses on the data of the 20 educational contexts that provided not
only CT performance data but also a complete coverage of student data relative
to the predictors of CT performance studied in prior work examine the predictive
effect of non-cognitive factors on CT performance.\r\n \r\n
\ \r\n Results\r\n
\ . The qualitative analyses showed that the ICILS 2023 CT items
can be mapped to existing frameworks. Conversely, items from both\r\n Bebras\r\n
\ and\r\n CTt\r\n can
be mapped to the ICILS framework. The distinct, partially overlapping profiles
of the instruments across the frameworks as well as Bloom's taxonomy indicate
that they are complementary in assessing CT, confirming and expanding prior comparisons
of\r\n Bebras\r\n and\r\n
\ CTt\r\n . The regression
analyses indicate no single dominant predictor of CT performance. The association
of socio-economic status, gender, or the home language was consistent with prior
findings, predictors related to learning processes, however, vary across educational
contexts.\r\n \r\n \r\n Discussion\r\n . Our results demonstrate
that ICILS 2023 items can be mapped onto multiple established CT frameworks, supporting
their broader validity and utility for comparative research. The findings of the
regression analysis underscore the complex interplay of non-cognitive factors
affecting CT and illustrate the significance of contextual interpretation within
educational systems.\r\n "

text: We present recent progress made towards ultra-broadband photonically assisted
analog-to-digital converters, that leverage both the low jitter of best-of-class
mode-locked lasers as well as the capability of optics to break down broadband
signals into multiple lower speed tributaries that can be better handled by electronics.
We review in particular our work on both time- and frequency-domain approaches
and give an outlook on how these architectures can be extended to include further
signal processing tasks such as equalization. Optically triggered track-and-hold
amplifiers are reported with an equivalent jitter below 80 fs rms in a signal
frequency range from 20 GHz to 70 GHz. Frequency-domain architectures implementing
optical arbitrary waveform measurement up to signal bandwidths of 610 GHz are
also shown. Finally, an architecture allowing the deserialization and equalization
of PAM4 signals is introduced and modeled for operation in 400 Gb/s links.

text: Resilient systems require monitoring and prediction of environmental and intrinsic
conditions, as well as the ability to adapt to environmental hazards while optimizing
the trade-off among performance, power consumption, and fault tolerance. TETRISC
was introduced as a resilient multicore RISC-V processor system based on the PULPissimo
platform. We introduce the migration of TETRISC to the open-source Rocket Chip
SoC, targeting scalable TETRISC Chisel implementations. As such, we discuss and
evaluate the main advantages and obstacles that come with the Chipyard framework
for RTL simulation and FPGA synthesis, enabling rapid prototyping of resilient,
scalable architectures configurable for multicore and lockstep modes.

text: 'Background: Agility is crucial in game sports, requiring both motor and cognitive
skills. Athletes must perceive and process information to adapt movements, yet
traditional agility tests often lack cognitive and multidirectional demands. Additionally,
modern test systems are mostly stationary. This study evaluated the novel and
portable “Functional Agility Square Test” (FAST) for validity, reliability, and
usefulness. Methods: To assess discriminant validity, 22 game sports (GS) and
22 non-game sports (NGS) athletes participated in one session. Test–retest reliability
was examined with 36 GS athletes (20 female) across three sessions. Participants
performed cognitive (FAST_COG), preplanned (FAST_MOT), and randomized (FAST_SAT)
reactive change-of-direction tasks, each repeated three times per session. Results:
Results showed significantly lower response times (RTs) in GS compared to NGS
(p < 0.05). Mean RTs indicated moderate relative reliability (ICC 0.50–0.74),
while medians showed moderate to good reliability (ICC 0.59–0.83). Usefulness
was evident from the first session (FAST_MOT) or from the third session (FAST_SAT)
based on median RTs. Conclusions: Thus, the FAST seems to be valid, reliable,
and sensitive for GS-based agility assessment. Its portable setup enables ecologically
valid field testing. Future research should further increase task complexity to
better simulate game conditions.'

text: Spätestens seit der Ratifizierung der UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention und der
Formulierung der Menschenrechte ist ein Bekenntnis zur Inklusion ein zentrales
Thema in der Schule, in der Ausbildung angehender Lehrkräfte und in der Bildungspolitik.
Der Umgang mit Kindern und Jugendlichen mit und ohne Beeinträchtigung in einer
heterogenen Klassengemeinschaft einer Regelschule kann Herausforderungen im beruflichen
Alltag einer Lehrperson mit sich bringen. Da inklusive schulische Bildung ebenso
wie der Anspruch auf Teilhabe in der Gesellschaft zwei Rechte sind, die alle Personen
der Gesellschaft einfordern dürfen, bedarf es neben einer positiven Haltung gegenüber
Diversität und Vielfalt auch bestimmten Rahmenbedingungen, um unterschiedlichen
Bedarfen von Schüler*innen mit Beeinträchtigungen gerecht zu werden.
