La auditoría permitió conocer las medidas ambientales reflejadas en el plan de manejo que se han desarrollado de manera efectiva, identificar el grado de avance y efectividad alcanzado en las que se están implementando para introducir los mecanismos de corrección necesarios e identificar las que no se han implementado todavía. El principal hallazgo de la auditoría fue la necesidad de una estructura interna que lleve a cabo las acciones en materia de gestión ambiental de la estación biológica.
