Instead of claiming a demarcation between science and education on the one hand and right-wing populist ideology on the other, we initially focus on continuities. At the same time, we are concerned with finding a critical distance towards right-wing populism. Using the theoretical framework of boundary-work we therefore analyse a case of right-wing populist educational and scientific efforts. Boundary-work can occur in an institutional, content-related and epistemic dimension. While we identify strong continuities in the institutional and content-related dimensions, we see the main difference in the epistemic dimension. Wir greifen diese Kritik auf, indem wir sie in zweifacher Hinsicht ergänzen: Erstens um einen Fokus auf soziale Mobilität, welche sich in Mobilitätsnarrativen mit räumlicher Mobilität als verwoben zeigt. Zweitens um die Perspektive auf Mobilität als Rückkehr, die wir von einer Perspektive auf Mobilität als Fortbewegung abgrenzen. Die Rückwärtsbewegung ist für uns eng an (Selbst-)Reflexionen und transformatorische Bildungsprozesse gebunden, wie sie in Didier Eribons autosozioanalytischem Vorhaben einer Rückkehr zu erkennen sind. Unsere Ausführungen münden erstens in einer Kritik am Imperativ des Bildungsaufstiegs, in dem mehr Bildung scheinbar immer mit individuellen und kollektiven Fortschritten einhergeht. Zweitens wenden wir die von uns herausgearbeitete Kritik reflexiv auf die Erziehungswissenschaft. In der Zeit ihres Bestehens kam es immer wieder zu Treffpunkten und Theoriekollisionen dieser beiden Traditionen des Denkens der Gesellschaft. Durch die hier entwickelte Metareflexion wird es möglich, zu analysieren, wie diese Theorietraditionen verbunden werden. Da sich die aktuelle Diskussion auf die Perspektive der Systemtheorie beschränkt, ist es notwendig, die Verbindung auch aus der Perspektive Kritischer Theorie zu debattieren. Denn erst die Unterscheidung der heute immer mehr ins Gespräch kommenden Kritischen Systemtheorie von der kaum diskutierten Kritischen Theorie sozialer Systeme macht es möglich, die volle Produktivität der Theoriekollisionen zu erkennen. Wir konzipieren unsere Metareflexion damit als eine Intervention im Sinne einer soziologischen Selbstkritik. Zur Ubiquität und Krise der Übersetzung","type":"book_chapter"},{"abstract":[{"lang":"ger","text":"Mit diesem Working Paper werden die wesentlichen Ergebnisse des INCHER-Forschungsprojekts „Externe und interne Qualitätssicherung von Studium und Lehre durch Akkreditierungs- und Evaluationsverfahren“ (kurz EIQSL) zusammengefasst. Dabei ging es um die Rekonstruktion und Einordnung der externen Qualitätssicherung im Rahmen der allgemeinen hochschulpolitischen Governance, das vielschichtige Qualitätsverständnis, das den Verfahren der Qualitätssicherung unterliegt, die hochschulinternen Prozesse und Strukturen der Qualitätssicherung, die Besonderheiten des Peer Reviews in Akkreditierungsverfahren sowie das komplexe Verhältnis zentraler Akteure zueinander.\r\nZusammenfassend zeigte sich – über die Detailergebnisse hinaus –, dass die externe Qualitätssicherung an Hochschulen durch Akkreditierung nach wie vor umstritten ist. Die theoretisch auf der Grundlage des Neo-Institutionalismus und der Systemtheorie begründete Erwartung der Autoren, dass sich Institutionalisierungsprozesse aufzeigen lassen, die zu einer schrittweisen, im Zeitverlauf beobachtbaren „Normalisierung“ führen, wurde nicht erfüllt. Zusätzlich ist nicht nur die Legitimation des Systems kontrovers und umstritten, sondern auch die seiner Effekte. Economies of worth, Princeton University Press, Princeton, 2006). From 1999 to 2017, the criteria have been subject to continuous efforts of legitimation, especially by the German Länder, which are in charge of public higher education in Germany. The empirical analysis shows that industrial (e.g., ‘standardization’), civic (e.g., ‘gender justice and equal opportunities’), and civic-industrial (e.g., ‘employability’) codings are the core of accreditation criteria. The normativity of these criteria constitutes accreditation as a technical arrangement running (a) a structural program (e.g., qualifications of academic teachers, modularization of study programs, and quality management) and (b) a political program (e.g., diversity of students and system of studies). Based on the empirical analysis, it is concluded that X does not stand for the accreditation of quality X.
