text: Popevents in ihren unterschiedlichsten Ausprägungen stehen in vielfältigen
Wechselbeziehungen mit ihrem jeweiligen Umfeld. Insbesondere Strukturen, Prozesse,
Mechanismen und Dynamiken des Managements sowie der Politiken dieser besonderen
Eventkulturen - ebenso wie die darin eingeschriebenen Normen, Normierungen, Werte
und Wertbildungsprozesse - prägen das Beziehungsgefüge, in dem sich »PopEventKulturen«
konstituieren. Die Beiträger*innen des Bandes thematisieren transdisziplinär Gravitationsfelder
dieser spezifischen Kulturen und analysieren u.a. Wertschöpfungsnetzwerke, Ausbildungswege
und Rollenbilder, kulturpolitische Selbstverständnisse und demokratiepolitische
Herausforderungen.

text: Transformations of various kinds have always shaped societies and especially
its cultures and research – triggered, for example, by wars, revolutions, shifts
in social orders, pandemics, etc. They have led to uncertainty and social upheaval,
but also to innovation and change. As pop music cultures, in their entire breadth,
can be described as seismographs of social, political, economic, ecological, media,
artistic, and technological transformations, in and through them, fields of tensions,
disruptions, and lines of conflict become not only visible, audible, and perceptible,
but also communicable and thus, negotiable. Volume No. 2 of ~Vibes – The IASPM
D-A-CH Series, which is based on the 4th Biennial IASPM D-A-CH conference at Paderborn
University/online, takes a closer look at the transformative moments of pop music
cultures by theorizing, empiricizing, historicizing, and, finally, politicizing
them.

ihre Kulturen und Wissenschaften schon immer geprägt – beispielsweise ausgelöst
durch Kriege, Revolutionen, Verschiebungen der Gesellschaftsordnungen, Pandemien
usw. Sie haben zu Verunsicherungen und sozialen Verwerfungen geführt, aber auch
zu Innovation und Veränderung. Da Popmusikkulturen in ihrer ganzen Breite als
Seismographen sozialer, politischer, ökonomischer, ökologischer, medialer, künstlerischer
und technologischer Transformationen beschrieben werden können, werden in und
durch sie Spannungsfelder, Brüche und Konfliktlinien nicht nur sichtbar, hörbar
und spürbar, sondern auch kommunizierbar und damit verhandelbar. Band Nr. 2 von
~Vibes – The IASPM D-A-CH Series, der auf der 4. IASPM D-A-CH-Tagung basiert,
die von der Universität Paderborn online ausgerichtet wurde, nimmt die transformativen
Momente von Popmusikkulturen theoretisierend, empirisierend, historisierend und
schließlich politisierend in den Blick. '

text: Von der Weltpolitik eines Trump, Orban und Erdogan über Popmusik von
Rammstein und Frei.Wild bis hin zu Hate Speech in sozialen Medien — das Provozieren,
das Brechen von Tabus, das Relativieren von bislang gültigen Werten sowie erhitzte
öffentliche Debatten prägen längst unseren medialen Alltag. Pop(musik)kulturelle
Phänomene und mittlerweile auch medialisierte Politik(er*innen) bewegen sich dabei
zwischen bewusstem Tabubruch, dosierter Provokation und medienwirksamen Spielen
mit Grenzüberschreitungen und -verschiebungen — mal progressiv, mal regressiv,
mal schwer einzuordnen. Die Herausgeber*innen und Autor*innen des Bandes möchten
einen Beitrag zu gelassener Analyse und Reflexion leisten.

text: "Spätestens seit der Übernahme der Konvention über die Rechte von Menschen
mit Behinderungen (UN-BRK) von Bund und Ländern im Jahre 2009 ist Inklusion im
öffentlichen Bewusstsein zu einer zentralen Entwicklungsaufgabe geworden. Der
aus dem englischen inclusive education hervorgegangene Begriff, der oft mit der
Pädagogik der Vielfalt in Verbindung gebracht wird, hat inzwischen seinen festen
Platz in der Schullandschaft gefunden – und somit auch im Musikunterricht.\r\n\r\nDer
vorliegende Sammelband erörtert in 24 Beiträgen namhafter Autorinnen und Autoren
verschiedene Aspekte inklusiven Denkens und Handelns im Zusammenhang mit musikalischer
Bildung. Die Beiträge handeln u. a. von allgemeinen bildungswissenschaftlichen
Grundlagen, von institutioneller Schulentwicklung, von Heterogenität im Klassenzimmer
und den Möglichkeiten digitaler Medien. Sie sprechen von Inklusion aus der Sicht
der Förderpädagogik und der Elementaren Pädagogik sowie aus der Sicht der Musiktherapie
und der inklusiven Jugendarbeit. Sie nehmen Bezug auf Migration, musikkulturelle
Vielfalt sowie Community Music und werfen Fragen nach der Bedeutung gendersensiblen
Unterrichtens auf.\r\n\r\nEin besonderer Fokus liegt auf konkreten Handlungsfeldern

text: Performance of music in the home was the means by which most works were received
before the advent of audio recordings and broadcasts, yet the notation sources
that form our primary record of this culture have not been the subject of comprehensive
or methodical study. Choices made by arrangers adapting music for domestic consumption
– of instrumentation, abbreviation, or simplification – reflect the musical life
of the 19th century, and can inform our understanding alongside contemporary accounts
such as newspapers, adverts, and diaries. This position paper gives the background,
motivation, and proposed approach of research currently being undertaken within
the Beethoven in the House project. This will include a study of Steiner editions
of Beethoven’s 7th and 8th Symphonies and Wellingtons Sieg, making a detailed
comparison between arrangements, systematically identifying a core common to multiple
versions, and asking if this reflects the stated values of the publisher. A second
survey will look for patterns across a larger sample of lesser-known and poorly
catalogued scores, collating emergent indicators of arrangers’ motivations within
a narrative of the domestic market – the music industry of its day. Both studies
will innovate digital methods which characterise arrangements as music encodings,
including ‘sparse’ approaches to notation and annotation.
