  text: "
Abstract
\r\n
In this work, the influence
of the filler matrix adhesion on the tensile properties of laser-sintered parts
built with Polyamide 613 filled with glass beads was investigated. For this purpose,
dry blends of glass beads with and without organosilane coupling agents and polyamide
powder were prepared and processed into tensile specimens on an EOS P396. The
samples were tested both in the dry state and after an accelerated conditioning
in a climate chamber. Furthermore, FEM simulations were performed to model the
limiting cases of optimum adhesion and no adhesion. By correlating the tensile
tests with the simulation results and by analyzing the fracture surfaces, it was
shown that the filler matrix adhesion is sufficient in the dry state but is strongly
degraded by conditioning. Even the presence of various organosilane thin films
could not prevent a strong deterioration of the filler-matrix adhesion and the
associated deterioration of the mechanical properties. Since a comparison with
an injection molded sample of the same polymer filler combination shows identical
behavior after conditioning, it is assumed that this problem is not limited to
    additively manufactured parts.
"

text: In the laser sintering technology, the semi-crystalline polymer material is
exposed to elevated temperatures during processing, which leads to serious material
ageing for most materials. This has already been investigated intensively by various
authors. However, the ageing of the material at ambient temperatures during shelf
life has not been the focus so far. The need to analyse the shelf life can be
derived from an ecological and economic point of view. This work is focusing on
the shelf life of PA2200 (PA12). To reduce the potential influences of powder
production fluctuations, two different powder batches stored for 5.5 years and
6.5 years are investigated and compared to a reference powder produced 0.5 years
before these investigations. Multiple powder analyses and part characterisations
have been performed. A significant yellowing and molecular chain length reduction
can be derived from the measurement results. Whereas the influence on mechanical
part performance was minor, the parts built with the stored powders are more yellowish.
As it is most likely that this is due to the consumption of polyamide stabilisers,
it can be assumed that these parts will be subject to significantly faster ageing.
Therefore, it is still not recommended to use the stored powders for critical
parts or light intense and humid environments.

  text: "
Zusammenfassung
\r\n
Aufgrund
"

  text:
Abstract. Climate change, rare resources and industrial transformation
processes lead to a rising demand of multi-complex lightweight forming parts,
especially in aerospace and automotive sectors. In these industries, flow forming
is often used to produce cylindrical forming parts by reducing the wall thickness
of tubular semifinished parts, e.g. for the production of hydraulic cylinders
or gear shafts. The complexity and functionality of flow forming workpieces could
be significantly increased by locally graded microstructure and geometry structures.
This enables customized complex hardness distributions at wear surfaces or magnetic
QR codes for a unique, tamper-proof product identification. The production of
those complex, 2D (axial and angular) graded forming parts currently depicts a
great challenge for the process and requires new solutions and strategies. Hence,
this paper proposes a novel control strategy that includes online measurements
from an absolute encoder to determine the angular workpiece position. Workpieces
of AISI 304L stainless steel with 2D-graded structures are successfully manufactured
using this new strategy and analyzed regarding the possible accuracy and resolution
of the gradation. At this point, a dependency of the gradations on the sensor
and actuator dynamics, accuracy and geometry could be noted. It is further evaluated
how the control strategy could be extended by an observer-based closed-loop property
control approach to enhance the accuracy of the suggested strategy.

text: '<p>The study investigates two different ways of guiding the addressee of
an explanation - an explainee, through action demonstration: contrastive and non-contrastive.
Their effect was tested on attention to specific action elements (goal) as well
as on event memory. In an eye-tracking experiment, participants were shown different
motion videos that were either contrastive or non-contrastive with respect to
the segments of movement presentation. Given that everyday action demonstration
is often multimodal, the stimuli were created with re- spect to their visual and
verbal presentation. For visual presentation, a video combined two movements in
    a contrastive (e.g., Up-motion following a Down-motion) or non-contrastive way
(e.g., two Up-motions following each other). For verbal presentation, each video
was combined with a sequence of instruction descriptions in the form of negative
(i.e., contrastive) or assertive (i.e., non-contrastive) guidance. It was found
that a) attention to the event goal increased for this condition in the later
time window, and b) participants’ recall of the event was facilitated when a visually
contrastive motion was combined with a verbal contrast.</p>'

text: We describe a prototype of a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) that
provides (counterfactual) explanations to support accurate medical diagnosis.
The prototype is based on an inherently interpretable Bayesian network (BN). Our
research aims to investigate which explanations are most useful for medical experts
and whether co-constructing explanations can foster trust and acceptance of CDSS.

Expertenwissens in datengetriebenen Modellen.

text: A trend in production are individualized products and thus a higher number
of variants, which are ideally produced by efficient production processes. In
this case, efficiency means that the products are manufactured at low cost and
in line with demand. This trend, flexible manufacturing, is also valid for mass
production, in order to reduce tied up capital and still be able to react promptly
to customer demands. This leads to more frequent retooling in the machines and
thus also to an increasingly frequent setting up of the processes. In this thesis,
a systematic for an adaptive set-up assistant is developed, which guides the machine
operator through the process during setup. The machine operator is supported in
evaluating the current product quality and receives a quantitative proposal for
the variation of the adjustment possibilities. Thus, the set-up process can be
carried out in a more targeted and error-free manner. This is made possible by
mapping the necessary expert knowledge in data-driven models. The expert knowledge
is used to calculate optimized settings and adjust them on the tool. It cannot
be assumed that virtualized expert knowledge will comprehensively map reality
and that all acute environmental influences can be measured. Any deviations in
product quality are directly eliminated in the developed optimization and, if
necessary, with a proposed compensation strategy. The system is validated with
a progressive tool. After analyzing the process, the essential components for
the system are developed and their functionality is successfully demonstrated
by means of tests and simulations.

  text:
Abstract
Explainable artificial intelligence
has mainly focused on static learning scenarios so far. We are interested in dynamic
scenarios where data is sampled progressively, and learning is done in an incremental
rather than a batch mode. We seek efficient incremental algorithms for computing
feature importance (FI). Permutation feature importance (PFI) is a well-established
model-agnostic measure to obtain global FI based on feature marginalization of
absent features. We propose an efficient, model-agnostic algorithm called iPFI
to estimate this measure incrementally and under dynamic modeling conditions including
concept drift. We prove theoretical guarantees on the approximation quality in
terms of expectation and variance. To validate our theoretical findings and the
efficacy of our approaches in incremental scenarios dealing with streaming data
rather than traditional batch settings, we conduct multiple experimental studies
on benchmark data with and without concept drift.
