  text: "After nearly two decades of research, the question of a quantum PCP theorem\r\nfor
    quantum Constraint Satisfaction Problems (CSPs) remains wide open. As a\r\nresult,
    proving QMA-hardness of approximation for ground state energy\r\nestimation has
    remained elusive. Recently, it was shown [Bittel, Gharibian,\r\nKliesch, CCC 2023]
    that a natural problem involving variational quantum\r\ncircuits is QCMA-hard
    to approximate within ratio N^(1-eps) for any eps > 0 and\r\nN the input size.
    Unfortunately, this problem was not related to quantum CSPs,\r\nleaving the question
    of hardness of approximation for quantum CSPs open. In\r\nthis work, we show that
    if instead of focusing on ground state energies, one\r\nconsiders computing properties
    of the ground space, QCMA-hardness of computing\r\nground space properties can
    be shown. In particular, we show that it is (1)\r\nQCMA-complete within ratio
    N^(1-eps) to approximate the Ground State\r\nConnectivity problem (GSCON), and
    (2) QCMA-hard within the same ratio to\r\nestimate the amount of entanglement
    of a local Hamiltonian's ground state,\r\ndenoted Ground State Entanglement (GSE).
    As a bonus, a simplification of our\r\nconstruction yields NP-completeness of
    approximation for a natural k-SAT\r\nreconfiguration problem, to be contrasted
    with the recent PCP-based PSPACE\r\nhardness of approximation results for a different
    definition of k-SAT\r\nreconfiguration [Karthik C.S. and Manurangsi, 2023, and
    Hirahara, Ohsaka, STOC\r\n2024]."

  text: Expanding renewable energy sources is essential for a sustainable energy supply
    but challenges grid stability, as the volatility of solar and wind causes periods
    of over- and undersupply. Private households are central to this transition, combining
    dynamic consumption with decentralised generation. This paper presents a multi-agent
    microgrid simulation built on the Mesa framework, focusing on the heterogeneous
    objectives and technological capabilities of residential participants. Households
    are modelled as autonomous agents with individual strategies, while a dedicated
    “grid agent” represents the distribution system operator and regulates the microgrid
    in a grid-supportive manner. The emission factor serves as the key indicator for
    grid-friendly behaviour. Results show that in summer, unmanaged PV feed-in from
    heterogeneous households causes substantial grid stress and balancing effort for
    the distribution system operator. Dynamic electricity prices can incentivise grid-friendly
    dispatch, but their effectiveness depends on the correlation between price signals
    and renewable availability and cannot guarantee grid-supportive behaviour alone.
    The grid agent reliably improves the grid-supportive coefficient, yet its operating
    strategy, for instance additional peak-reduction objectives, can interfere with
    price-based incentives. Effective demand-side management therefore requires careful
    analysis of stakeholder interactions. Building on this insight, thepaper provides
    a basic framework for the design, implementation, and assessment of both integrated
    and individual energy management strategies within a microgrid environment. By
    simulating the dynamic interactions among system participants and strategies,
    it enables comprehensive evaluation of their collective impact on the grid, supporting
    the development of robust solutions for future electricity networks.

  text: "<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title>\r\n                  <jats:p>This study
    investigates how secondary students construct and evaluate decision trees in an
    open exploratory task using CODAP. By analyzing students’ tree products and oral
    self-reports, we identified different data-based and context-based approaches
    to predictor selection and stopping criteria. Students engaged with key ideas
    of predictive modeling, including classification, model construction, accuracy,
    generalization, and interpretability. Informal exploration offered rich opportunities
    for subsequent teaching by enabling students to begin reconstructing central technical
    ideas and critical tensions of predictive modeling through diverse but meaningful
    reasoning approaches.</jats:p>"

  text: We investigate generalisations of 1-factorisations and hyperfactorisations
    of the complete graph $K_{2n}$. We show that they are special subsets of the association
    scheme obtained from the Gelfand pair $(S_{2n},S_2 \wr S_n)$. This unifies and
    extends results by Cameron (1976) and gives rise to new existence and non-existence
    results. Our methods involve working in the group algebra $\mathbb{C}[S_{2n}]$
    and using the representation theory of $S_{2n}$.

  text: Resilient systems require monitoring and prediction of environmental and intrinsic
    conditions and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances to optimize the
    trade-off between performance, power consumption, and fault tolerance. TETRISC
    was introduced as a resilient multicore RISC-V processor system based on the PULPissimo
    platform. This paper presents the migration of TETRISC to the Rocket Chip SoC,
    which is freely scalable to the number of processors through parametrizable Chisel
    models. As such, we discuss and evaluate the main advantages and obstacles that
    come with the Chipyard framework for RTL simulation and FPGA synthesis for the
    rapid prototyping of resilient, scalable architectures that are online configurable
    through software for different multicore and lock-step modes.
