A lack of physical activity in childhood and deficits in motor performance emphasize the relevance of interventions for promoting basic motor competencies. However, there are research desiderata with regard to such interventions. This article describes an intervention program for promoting basic motor competencies in middle childhood (around 6 to 10 years of age). The intervention was investigated in a longitudinal study from June 2019 to January 2020 (n = 200; 58% girls, M = 8.84 years, SD = 0.63) at three primary schools. The intervention was conducted once a week in physical education (PE). The comparison group participated in regular PE. The intervention showed significant effects on basic motor competencies in object movement but not in self-movement. The results demonstrate that positive effects on basic motor competencies can be achieved with the help of a relatively simple intervention. Further longitudinal studies are desirable as a means of substantiating the results and developing evidence-based concepts to support children in their development in the best possible way.
"}],"date_created":"2023-03-03T13:55:55Z","keyword":["Health","Toxicology and Mutagenesis","Public Health","Environmental and Occupational Health"],"type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"318"}]},{"quality_controlled":"1","publication":"Abstracts of the 63rd Conference of Experimental Psychologists (TeaP)","citation":{"ama":"Polzien A, Güldenpenning I, Weigelt M. Such interferometers have been successfully realized in bulk and fiber-based configurations. However, rapidly developing integrated technologies provide higher efficiencies, smaller footprints, and pave the way to quantum-enhanced on-chip interferometry. In this work, we theoretically realised an integrated architecture of the multimode SU(1,1) interferometer which can be applied to various integrated platforms. The presented interferometer includes a polarization converter between two photon sources and utilizes a continuous-wave (CW) pump. Based on the potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) platform, we show that this configuration results in almost perfect destructive interference at the output and supersensitivity regions below the classical limit. In addition, we discuss the fundamental difference between single-mode and highly multimode SU(1,1) interferometers in the properties of phase sensitivity and its limits. Finally, we explore how to improve the phase sensitivity by filtering the output radiation and using different seeding states in different modes with various detection strategies.
","lang":"eng"}],"date_created":"2021-10-12T08:46:46Z","department":[{"_id":"15"},{"_id":"288"}],"type":"journal_article"},{"abstract":[{"lang":"eng","text":"We experimentally investigate the generation of continuous-wave optical squeezing from a titanium-indiffused lithium niobate waveguide resonator at low and high frequencies. The benzoxepinone core structures commonly exhibit biological activity. Thus, a short and efficient synthetic route towards benzoxepine containing scaffold, which enables late stage modification was developed. Namely, base-free catalytic Wittig reactions enabled the synthesis of bromobenzoxepinones from readily available starting materials. Subsequent, Suzuki–Miyaura and Stille reactions proved to be suitable methods to access a variety of benzoxepinone diaryl derivatives by late stage modification in only three steps. This three-step reaction sequence is suitable for high throughput applications and gives facile access to highly complex molecular structures, which are suitable for further functionalization. The antiproliferative properties of selected arylbenzoxepinones were tested in vitro on monolayer tumor cell line A549. Notably, in this initial screening, these compounds were found to be active in the micromolar range.
"}],"date_created":"2023-01-22T20:27:34Z","keyword":["T2","T4","CSSD"],"type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"35"},{"_id":"2"},{"_id":"657"}],"title":"Base-Free Catalytic Wittig-/Cross-Coupling Reaction Sequence as Short Synthetic Strategy for the Preparation of Highly Functionalized Arylbenzoxepinones","year":"2021","publication_identifier":{"issn":["0039-7881","1437-210X"]},"author":[{"full_name":"Werner, Thomas","orcid":"0000-0001-9025-3244","first_name":"Thomas","last_name":"Werner","id":"89271"},{"last_name":"Grandane","first_name":"Aiga","full_name":"Grandane, Aiga"},{"full_name":"Pudnika, Linda","first_name":"Linda","last_name":"Pudnika"},{"full_name":"Domraceva, Ilona","first_name":"Ilona","last_name":"Domraceva"},{"first_name":"Raivis","last_name":"Zalubovskis","full_name":"Zalubovskis, Raivis"}],"publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2025-11-10T08:47:47Z","intvolume":" 53","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1055/a-1509-6078"},{"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1039/d1sc02663a","year":"2021","title":"Indirect reduction of CO2 and recycling of polymers by manganese-catalyzed transfer hydrogenation of amides, carbamates, urea derivatives, and polyurethanes","publication_identifier":{"issn":["2041-6520","2041-6539"]},"author":[{"full_name":"Liu, Xin","last_name":"Liu","first_name":"Xin"},{"orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9025-3244","last_name":"Werner","first_name":"Thomas","full_name":"Werner, Thomas","id":"89271"}],"publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2025-11-10T08:49:01Z","intvolume":" 12","date_created":"2023-01-22T20:24:03Z","type":"journal_article","keyword":["T1","T3","CSSD"],"department":[{"_id":"35"},{"_id":"2"},{"_id":"657"}],"publication":"Chemical Science","issue":"31","abstract":[{"lang":"eng","text":"<p>A Mn–PNP complex proved to be a suitable catalyst for the transfer hydrogenation of amides, carbamates, urea derivatives and even polyurethanes.</p>"}],"page":"10590-10597","publisher":"Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)","_id":"37944","user_id":"89271","volume":12,"status":"public","citation":{"apa":"Liu, X., &#38; Werner, T.
