The survey was online until 21 November 2019 and included twenty-two questions, which were divided into five sections: 1) general importance of prevention (n = 4), 2) specifications of the study population (n = 3), 3) implementation of prevention (n = 8), 4) improvement opportunities in prevention (n = 4) and 5) future research areas (n = 3).</jats:p><jats:p>Results A total of 272 participants completed the survey, representing a total survey participation of 17.7 % of all members. The study population consisted of orthopaedic surgeons (55 % with surgical and 21 % with non-operative orientation), medical students (10 %), physical therapists (8 %) and sports scientists (4 %). Ninety-four percent of all participants stated that they considered the importance of sports injury prevention to be “very high” (68 %) or “high” (26 %). However, almost 70 % of all participants stated that they spend less than one hour per week on injury prevention work. The term “prevention” was clearly defined and practicable for only 40 %, understandable but difficult to implement for 51 %, and unclear and difficult to implement for 9 % of the participants. Seventy-two percent of respondents were aware of existing prevention programs such as “Stop-X” or “FIFA 11 +”, whereas 28 % of participants were uninformed regarding these programs.</jats:p><jats:p>Conclusions A strong divergence was identified between participants’ perception of the importance of sports injury prevention and the existing implementation of preventive measures. The latter are encoded in an ergodic dynamical system (Ω,G,dP), where Ω is the configuration space of the atomic degrees of freedom, G is the space group acting on Ω and dP is the ergodic Gibbs measure relative to the G-action. We first demonstrate how to pass from the continuum Kohn–Sham theory to a discrete atomic-orbitals based formalism without breaking the covariance of the physical observables w.r.t. (Ω,G,dP). Then we show how to implement the Kubo-formula, investigate its self-averaging property and derive an optimal finite-volume approximation for it. We also describe a numerical innovation that made possible AIMD simulations with longer orbits and elaborate on the details of our simulations. To gain a deeper understanding of the junction formation in these devices, we correlate variations in the surface facet orientation with the defect electronic properties. We use a combined analytical approach based on scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS), scanning electron microscopy, and electron back scatter diffraction (EBSD), where we perform these experiments on identical surface areas as small as 2 × 2 µm2 with a lateral resolution well below 50 nm. The topography of the absorber surfaces indicates two main morphological features: micro-faceted, long basalt-like columns and their short nano-faceted terminations. Our STS results reveal that the long columns exhibit spectral signatures typical for the presence of pronounced oxidation-induced surface dipoles in conjunction with an increased density of electronic defect levels. In contrast, the nano-faceted terminations of the basalt-like columns are largely passivated in terms of electronic defect levels within the band gap region. Corresponding crystallographic data based on EBSD experiments show that the surface of the basalt-like columns can be assigned to intrinsically polar facet orientations, while the passivated terminations are assigned to non-polar planes. Ab-initio calculations suggest that the polar surfaces are more prone to oxidation and resulting O-induced defects, in comparison to non-polar planes. Our results emphasize the correlation between morphology, surface facet orientations and surface electronic properties. Information on single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) associated with serum 25(OH)D was obtained from a genome-wide association study (GWAS) considering phenotype data from 79,366 individuals of European ancestry. Data on risk for ADHD were derived from a GWAS analysis with 20,183 individuals diagnosed with ADHD and 35,191 controls. For our analysis, we considered effect sizes based on the European participants (19,099 cases and 34,194 controls).</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec><jats:sec>\r\n                <jats:title>Results</jats:title>\r\n                <jats:p>Single SNP analyses showed a causal effect of vitamin D on ADHD risk for only one SNP (rs12785878, <jats:italic>p</jats:italic> = 0.024). The overall MR estimates did not reveal a causal effect of 25(OH)D on risk for ADHD. In the reverse analysis, neither any single nor the multi-SNP MR analyses showed a causal effect of ADHD on 25(OH)D.</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec><jats:sec>\r\n                <jats:title>Conclusion</jats:title>\r\n                <jats:p>Results from this two-sample MR study did not confirm a causal effect of 25(OH)D on ADHD or vice versa. The aim of this study was to investigate the prospective association of diet quality prior to puberty with the timing of puberty onset.</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec><jats:sec>\r\n                <jats:title>Methods</jats:title>\r\n                <jats:p>We considered data from 3983 SCCNG (Southwest China Childhood Nutrition and Growth) study participants with dietary data, anthropometric measurement, and information on potential confounders at their baseline assessment (mean age: 7.1 years for girls and 7.3 years for boys; mean length of follow-up was 4.2 years). Cox proportional hazard regression estimating hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to examine the relationship between diet quality and puberty onset. Dietary intake at baseline was assessed using a validated food frequency questionnaire. Diet quality was determined using the Chinese Children Dietary Index (CCDI) which measures adherence to current dietary recommendations (theoretical range: 0–160 points). Age at Tanner stage 2 for breast/genital development (B2/G2), menarche or voice break (M/VB) were used as pubertal markers.\r\n</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec><jats:sec>\r\n                <jats:title>Results</jats:title>\r\n                <jats:p>The CCDI score ranged from 56.2 to 136.3 for girls and 46.1–131.5 for boys. Pubertal markers consistently indicate that girls and boys with higher diet quality were more likely to enter their puberty later than their counterparts with lower CCDI scores (higher vs. lower CCDI tertiles: adjusted HR for age at B2: 0.85 (95% CI, 0.81–0.94), <jats:italic>p</jats:italic> for trend = 0.02; G2: 0.86 (95% CI,0.80–0.96), <jats:italic>p</jats:italic> for trend = 0.02; M: 0.86 (95% CI,0.80–0.95), <jats:italic>p</jats:italic> for trend = 0.02; VB: 0.86 (95% CI,0.79–0.98), <jats:italic>p</jats:italic> for trend = 0.03), after adjustment for paternal education level, baseline energy intake, and pre-pubertal body fat.</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec><jats:sec>\r\n                <jats:title>Conclusions</jats:title>\r\n                <jats:p>Our data suggested a later puberty onset and later timing of progressed puberty stages in children with a high diet quality, which were independent of pre-pubertal body fat.</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec>","lang":"eng"}]},{"date_updated":"2022-01-06T06:57:30Z","publication_status":"published","year":"2020","title":"Die Ernährungsversorgung in Familien zwischen Zeit, Alltag und Haushaltsführung.
