The quantity g(E)/E2, where g(E) is the vibrational phonon density of states (VDOS) of the resonant nuclei, exhibits a pronounced maximum at low energies. Confinement in pores leads to a suppression of the VDOS below 1.5 meV, independent of the pore size. Also in the scaled heat capacity C(T)/T3, we observe a decrease of the peak maximum for low temperatures. Our observations are discussed in the light of experimental and theoretical results on nanocrystals and a recent theoretical model for the boson peak.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"Hyperfine Interactions","issue":"12","department":[{"_id":"306"}],"type":"journal_article","date_created":"2023-01-31T15:39:17Z","intvolume":" 43","article_type":"original","date_updated":"2023-01-31T15:39:35Z","publication_status":"published","author":[{"last_name":"Asthalter","first_name":"T.","full_name":"Asthalter, T."},{"full_name":"Bauer, Matthias","orcid":"0000-0002-9294-6076","last_name":"Bauer","first_name":"Matthias","id":"47241"},{"full_name":"van Buerck, U.","last_name":"van Buerck","first_name":"U."},{"last_name":"Sergueev","first_name":"I.","full_name":"Sergueev, I."},{"full_name":"Franz, H.","last_name":"Franz","first_name":"H."},{"full_name":"Chumakov, A. The Fourier transform of the product of matrix elements of the dynamic propagators obeys an integral Wigner-Liouville-type equation. Initial conditions for this equation are given by the Fourier transform of the Wiener path-integral representation of the matrix elements of the propagators at the chosen initial times. This approach combines both molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo methods and computes numerical traces and spectra of the relevant dynamical quantities such as momentum-momentum correlation functions and spatial dispersions. Considering, as an application, a system with fixed scatterers, the results clearly demonstrate that the many-particle interaction between the electrons leads to an enhancement of the conductivity and spatial dispersion compared to the noninteracting case."}],"date_created":"2023-04-02T13:23:14Z","type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"293"}],"title":"Interacting electrons in a one-dimensional random array of scatterers: A quantum dynamics and Monte Carlo study","year":"2002","author":[{"id":"344","orcid":"0000-0001-8864-2072","last_name":"Meier","first_name":"Torsten","full_name":"Meier, Torsten"},{"last_name":"Filinov","first_name":"V.","full_name":"Filinov, V."},{"first_name":"P.","last_name":"Thomas","full_name":"Thomas, P."},{"full_name":"Varga, I.","last_name":"Varga","first_name":"I."},{"first_name":"M.","last_name":"Bonitz","full_name":"Bonitz, M."},{"full_name":"Fortov, V.","last_name":"Fortov","first_name":"V."},{"first_name":"S.W.","last_name":"Koch","full_name":"Koch, S.W."}],"publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2023-04-02T13:23:17Z","intvolume":" 65","article_number":"165124","main_file_link":[{"url":"https://journals.aps.org/prb/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevB.65.165124"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1103/PhysRevB.65.165124","citation":{"bibtex":"@article{Meier_Filinov_Thomas_Varga_Bonitz_Fortov_Koch_2002, title={Interacting electrons in a one-dimensional random array of scatterers: A quantum dynamics and Monte Carlo study}, volume={65}, DOI={10.1103/PhysRevB.65.165124}, number={16165124}, journal={Physical Review B}, publisher={American Physical Society}, author={Meier, Torsten and Filinov, V. and Thomas, P. and Varga, I. and Bonitz, M. and Fortov, V. and Koch, S.W.}, year={2002} }","ama":"Meier T, Filinov V, Thomas P, et al. For systems that are excited by two specially designed ultrashort light-pulse sequences delayed by \r\nτ\r\n relatively to each other echolike phenomena are predicted to occur. In addition to the interband photon echo which shows up at exactly t=2τ relative to the first pulse, the system responds with two spontaneous intraband current pulses preceding and following the appearance of the photon echo. The temporal splitting depends on the electron-hole mass ratio. This allows us to identify the Förster process with the short-range contribution of the coupling that is mediated by the total electric field. The dependence of the coupling on the distance R of the dots is ∝ R—3, i.e. the rates follow the well-known R—6 behaviour. For distances between the sites longer than a quarter of the wavelength of light there is a cross-over to coupling due to the retarded light field, which is ∝ R—1, i.e. the rates are ∝ R—2.","lang":"eng"}],"issue":"1","publication":"physica status solidi (b)","type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"293"}],"date_created":"2023-04-02T13:20:24Z","status":"public","user_id":"49063","volume":230,"page":"25-29","_id":"43293","publisher":"WILEY‐VCH Verlag Berlin GmbH","citation":{"mla":"Meier, Torsten, et al. “Microscopic Foundation of the Förster Excitonic Energy Transfer Process.” Physica Status Solidi (b), vol. 230, no. 1, WILEY‐VCH Verlag Berlin GmbH, 2002, pp. 25–29, doi:10.1002/1521-3951(200203)230:1<25::AID-PSSB25>3.0.CO;2-8.","ama":"Meier T, Thomas P, Möller M, Eichmann R, Stroucken T, Knorr A.
