text: The fast dephasing of electron spins in an ensemble of quantum dots
is detrimental for applications in quantum information processing. We show here
that dephasing can be overcome by using a periodic train of light pulses to synchronize
the phases of the precessing spins, and we demonstrate this effect in an ensemble
of singly charged (In,Ga)As/GaAs quantum dots. This mode locking leads to constructive
interference of contributions to Faraday rotation and presents potential applications
based on robust quantum coherence within an ensemble of dots.

text: Über das Thema "Hauptberuflichkeit im Verein" wird seit langem heftig diskutiert.
In den letzten Jahren mehren sich Stimmen, die von Hauptberuflichkeit als einer
fruchtbaren Innovation vor allem für große Vereine berichten. Doch betrachtet
man die Vereinsrealität, dann ist die Einführung einer hauptberuflichen Mitarbeiterstelle
für Sportvereine nach wie vor etwas eher Ungewöhnliches und Untypisches. Über
die Faktoren, die eine nachhaltige Einführung von Hauptberuflichkeit fördern bzw.
verhindern, ist noch sehr wenig bekannt. Die vorliegende Studie setzt sich deshalb
mit der Frage nach den Bedingungen und Barrieren einer Verberuflichung im Sportverein
auseinander. Nach einer theoretischen Analyse der Entscheidung für oder gegen
Hauptberuflichkeit im sozialen System "Sportverein" werden Ergebnisse detaillierter
Fallstudien in verberuflichten und nicht-verberuflichten Sportvereinen vorgestellt.
Dass hauptberufliche Mitarbeit, wenn sie auf "verträgliche Weise" implementiert
wird, nicht etwa das Ehrenamt und das Selbstverständnis des Vereins gefährdet,
sondern zum zentralen Faktor für die Erhaltung und Pflege von Vereinstraditionen
werden kann, ist einer der vielen überraschenden Befunde.
