A simple fabrication method is an important requirement for such sources. Here, we present a single photon source based on diced ridge waveguides in titanium indiffused LiNbO<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>. These waveguides can be easily fabricated by combining planar titanium in-diffusion without lithographic patterning and easy-to-handle precision dicing. Such devices have the potential to generate high single photon rates because ridge structures are typically less prone to the photorefractive effect. We achieve waveguide propagation losses &lt;0.4dBcm and a SHG conversion efficiency of about 81%Wcm<jats:sup>2</jats:sup>. Lightweight design is one of the central topics of the automotive industry since reducing mass can save emissions over the entire life cycle of a component. Nowadays, vehicle structures usually consist of a multi-material design, which poses the additional challenge of joining these different materials. Mechanical joining is the most common way of joining different types of materials. Cast aluminium alloys of the AlSi system have a low ductility, which causes cracks during the mechanical joining process in the joint. One research approach is to achieve a fine microstructure by influencing the solidification rate since this results in increased mechanical properties, specifically the elongation at fracture and yield strength. A very fine microstructure can be achieved by utilizing Twin-roll casting (TRC) which is a continuous casting process in which high solidification rates of more than 100 K/s occur. In this study, the hypoeutectic cast aluminium alloy AlSi9 is processed in the TRC process using copper rollers. The cast strips are investigated regarding the microstructure-property correlation. Twin-Roll-Casting (TRC) is an energy- and cost-efficient process to produce near-net-shape aluminum strips. Due to the high affinity of molten aluminum to steel surfaces, those rollers show signs of wear throughout the rolling campaign. This leads to the necessity of restoring the worn surfaces to suitable parameters. The easiest way is to grind the surface till all superficial defects are omitted. However, the thickness of the roller is not endless, therefore the rollers must be replaced after a certain amount of surface reconditioning. This ultimately leads to the non-usability of the roller. Es liegen bereits empirische Forschungsergebnisse zu Einflussfaktoren und zur Entwicklung des FDW sowie zur Bedeutung des FDW als Ganzem für Professionswissen und Qualität professioneller Handlungen vor. Für eine detailliertere Forschung zur Zusammenhangsstruktur zwischen FDW und der Performanz in prototypischen Handlungssituationen sind darüber hinaus differenziertere empirisch begründete Beschreibungen der inneren Struktur des FDW notwendig. Bisher sind entsprechende Ansätze allerdings zumeist primär theoretisch-normativ begründet oder auf hierarchische Betrachtungen beschränkt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird daher ein Ansatz zur nicht-hierarchischen datenbasierten Beschreibung latenter Kompetenzprofile des FDW orientiert an der Computational Grounded Theory vorgestellt. Dabei wird zunächst mithilfe eines Datensatzes von 846 Bearbeitungen des Physik-FDW-Testinstruments in überwiegend offenem Antwortformat aus dem Projekt ProfiLe-P+ eine latente Profilanalyse zur Untersuchung latenter FDW-Profile unter Fokus auf kognitive Anforderungen als empirisch trennbare Subskalen des FDW durchgeführt. Mithilfe von Topic Modeling werden anschließend Tendenzen in der Sprachnutzung der FDW-Profile untersucht. Um die Ergebnisse im Sinne der Computational Grounded Theory durch den Nachweis latenter Zusammenhänge zwischen den Testantworten der Proband:innen und der FDW-Profil-Zuordnung zu bestätigen, wird im Anschluss ein Machine-Learning-basiertes System zur automatisierten Zuordnung von Testbearbeitungen zu den FDW-Profilen erstellt. Es zeigen sich vier latente Kompetenzprofile mit nicht-hierarchischem Charakter. In einer längsschnittlichen Betrachtung wird abschließend die Entwicklung von Proband:innen im Kontext dieser FDW-Profile dargestellt. I employ an economic model with a board of director's investment in a Tax Control Framework (TCF) and a tax manager's tax planning effort jointly shaping corporate tax planning and a tax auditor's technology-based audit decision. I show that the board only invests in the TCF when the enforcement environment is sufficiently strict, because it trades-off the costs and benefits of tax planning. Since strengthening tax enforcement decreases tax planning effort, the result can be less investment in a TCF in a strict enforcement environment, implying that TCF investment and enforcement can be strategic substitutes. Strikingly, I identify conditions under which improvements in tax audit technology increase corporate tax planning and impair tax audit efficiency, due to a crowding-out of audit incentives. PCM sind Materialien, deren Phasenwechseleigenschaften während des Schmelzens und Erstarrens für Heiz- und Kühlzwecke genutzt werden. Zunächst werden die theoretischen Grundlagen zu Wärmeübertragungsproblemen mit Phasenwechsel erörtert und entsprechende numerische Lösungsmethoden diskutiert. Ein Modell für Phasenwechselvorgänge wird vorgestellt, welches anhand analytischer Lösungen validiert wurde und in den Fallstudien zum Einsatz kam. Für beide Fallstudien wird der Stand der Technik erörtert und die entsprechenden Forschungsfragen werden formuliert. Die erste Fallstudie behandelt PCM-integrierte Photovoltaikmodule und die zweite Festbett-Latentwärmespeicher, welche nicht-kugelförmiger PCM-Kapseln verwenden. Für beide Systeme wurden thermische Model-le entwickelt und anhand experimenteller Daten mit guter Genauigkeit validiert. Diese Modelle wurden in Parameterstudien eingesetzt, um optimierte Systemkonfigurationen zu identifizieren. Die vorgestellten Ergebnisse zeigen, dass ein PCM-Kühlkörper mit ausreichender Dicke und Wärmeleitfähigkeit den Wirkungsgrad und die Lebensdauer von Photovoltaikmodulen erheblich erhöht. Darüber hinaus verbessern PCM-Kapseln mit hoher Packungs-dichte und Oberfläche sowohl die volumenspezifische Speicherkapazität als auch die thermische Leistung von Festbett-Latentwärmespeichern.","lang":"ger"},{"lang":"eng","text":"This thesis explores the modeling and optimization of energy system components incorporating phase change materials (PCM) through two different case studies. PCM are materials whose phase change characteristics during melting and solidification are utilized for heating and cooling purposes. The theoretical foundations of heat transfer problems involving phase change, along with the relevant numerical solution methods, are discussed. A phase change model is presented, which was validated against analytical solutions and applied in the case studies. For both case studies, a review of the state of the art is provided, followed by the formulation of specific research problems. The first case study investigated PCM-enhanced photovoltaic modules, while the second focused on packed bed latent heat storages (PBLHS) utilizing non-spherical PCM capsules. Thermal models were developed for both systems and validated with good accuracy against experimental data. These models were employed in parameter studies to identify optimized system configurations. The presented results demonstrate that a PCM heat sink with sufficient thickness and thermal conductivity can significantly improve the efficiency and lifespan of photovoltaic modules. Despite lithium niobate's wide applicability as a nonlinear optical material, the impact of mechanical stress on its nonlinear optical properties is not well characterized. In this work, we systematically study both experimentally and theoretically, the nonlinear optical responses of thin film lithium niobate (TFLN) single crystals. Compressive and tensile stress is applied in our experiment using a piezodriven strain cell. We then record the second-harmonic-generated (SHG) response in back-reflection geometry, and compare these results to theoretical modeling using density functional theory (DFT). Both methods consistently reveal that uniaxial stress induces changes of the nonlinear optical susceptibility of certain tensor elements on the order of up to 1 pm/(V GPa). The exact value depends on the tensor element that is addressed in our SHG analysis, on the crystal orientation, and also whether using compressive or tensile stresses.
