While trait procrastination implies cross-temporal stability, state procrastination denotes an episode in which a particular task is procrastinated, therefore implying cross-temporal variability. However, it is unclear whether trait procrastination scales (i) capture temporal-variable variance components (i.e., state procrastination), and (ii) how trait and state are differentially related to other variables commonly associated with procrastination. Latent state-trait modeling was used to separate stable from temporal-variable variance components of a common trait procrastination measure and to relate both facets of procrastination to satisfaction with the studies as an example for related variables. Student participants ( N = 194) filled out the five-item short version of the General Procrastination Scale (GPS; Klein et al., 2019 ) three times with 12-month intervals between each measurement. Results confirm that GPS scores reflect stable components of procrastination to a larger extent than temporal-variable variance components. And they demonstrate that variable procrastination correlates more strongly with study satisfaction, as compared to stable procrastination. These results may inspire research to specify how far correlates of procrastination pertain to trait procrastination, state procrastination, or both.
","lang":"eng"}],"citation":{"bibtex":"@article{Koppenborg_Ebert_Klingsieck_2024, title={Trait- and State-Aspects of Procrastination and Their Relation to Study Satisfaction}, DOI={<a href=\"https://doi.org/10.1027/1015-5759/a000853\">10.1027/1015-5759/a000853</a>}, journal={European Journal of Psychological Assessment}, publisher={Hogrefe Publishing Group}, author={Koppenborg, Markus and Ebert, Anna and Klingsieck, Katrin B.}, year={2024} }","ama":"Koppenborg M, Ebert A, Klingsieck KB. The unconscious volitional processes, predecisional aspects, and the aspect of self-access are yet rather under-researched. If they are considered, however, procrastination can be understood on an even deeper level and treated more sustainably. Moreover, considering these aspects opens up a humanistic perspective on procrastination episodes, thereby, putting procrastination and procrastination interventions in the bigger picture of self-actualization, self-alienation, and self-growth.
","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"European Psychologist","issue":"2","department":[{"_id":"426"}],"type":"journal_article","date_created":"2024-08-10T10:01:06Z","intvolume":" 29","publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2024-08-10T10:01:52Z","author":[{"full_name":"Klingsieck, Katrin B.","last_name":"Klingsieck","first_name":"Katrin B.","id":"36716"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["1016-9040","1878-531X"]},"title":"Procrastination – Having, or Not Having Self-Access, That Is the Question","year":"2024","doi":"10.1027/1016-9040/a000528","language":[{"iso":"eng"}]},{"doi":"10.1063/5.0172287","article_number":"013104","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"date_updated":"2024-08-12T13:45:43Z","publication_status":"published","intvolume":" 34","article_type":"original","title":"Learning of discrete models of variational PDEs from data","year":"2024","publication_identifier":{"issn":["1054-1500"]},"author":[{"id":"85279","first_name":"Christian","orcid":"0000-0002-5940-8057","last_name":"Offen","full_name":"Offen, Christian"},{"first_name":"Sina","last_name":"Ober-Blöbaum","full_name":"Ober-Blöbaum, Sina","id":"16494"}],"type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"636"}],"file":[{"content_type":"application/pdf","file_id":"50376","title":"Accepted Manuscript Chaos","file_size":13222105,"access_level":"open_access","file_name":"Accepted manuscript with AIP banner CHA23-AR-01370.pdf","date_updated":"2024-01-09T10:48:38Z","relation":"main_file","date_created":"2024-01-09T10:48:38Z","creator":"coffen"},{"creator":"coffen","description":"We show how to learn discrete field theories from observational data of fields on a space-time lattice.
"}],"language":[{"iso":"ger"}],"_id":"53567","publisher":"Springer Science and Business Media LLC","alternative_title":["Cross-project empirical and criteria-oriented analysis of pre-service physics teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge: What content structures emerge in the context of different models?"],"doi":"10.1007/s42010-024-00200-w","user_id":"99022","publication_identifier":{"issn":["0340-4099","2520-873X"]},"author":[{"id":"99022","full_name":"Zeller, Jannis","first_name":"Jannis","orcid":"0000-0002-1834-5520","last_name":"Zeller"},{"full_name":"Schiering, Dustin","first_name":"Dustin","last_name":"Schiering"},{"last_name":"Kulgemeyer","first_name":"Christoph","full_name":"Kulgemeyer, Christoph"},{"last_name":"Neumann","first_name":"Knut","full_name":"Neumann, Knut"},{"id":"429","orcid":"0000-0003-2927-2619","first_name":"Josef","last_name":"Riese","full_name":"Riese, Josef"},{"last_name":"Sorge","first_name":"Stefan","full_name":"Sorge, Stefan"}],"title":"Empirisch-kriterienorientierte Analyse des fachdidaktischen Wissens angehender Physiklehrkräfte: Welche inhaltlichen Strukturen zeigen sich über unterschiedliche Projekte hinweg?","year":"2024","status":"public","date_updated":"2024-08-19T12:44:06Z","publication_status":"published"},{"status":"public","has_accepted_license":"1","_id":"54318","publisher":"IOP Publishing","volume":2750,"user_id":"99511","ddc":["370"],"citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Weiler_Burde_Große-Heilmann_Lachner_Riese_Schubatzky_2024, title={Evaluation of a university seminar on the use of digital media in the physics classroom}, volume={2750}, DOI={<a href=\"https://doi.org/10.1088/1742-6596/2750/1/012041\">10.1088/1742-6596/2750/1/012041</a>}, number={1012041}, booktitle={Journal of Physics: Conference Series}, publisher={IOP Publishing}, author={Weiler, David and Burde, Jan-Philipp and Große-Heilmann, Rike Isabel and Lachner, Andreas and Riese, Josef and Schubatzky, Thomas}, year={2024} }","ama":"Weiler D, Burde J-P, Große-Heilmann RI, Lachner A, Riese J, Schubatzky T. However, for physics, there is a lack of systematically surveyed and evidence-based seminars that specifically take into account relevant research findings. Thus, we developed a research-based seminar on the effective use of digital media in physics classrooms and investigated its effects on pre-service teachers (PSTs) professional competencies in a mixed-methods design. Our quantitative analyses of different competence components surveyed in a pre-post-design indicate that the seminar leads to an increase in motivation to use digital media in the physics classroom. Nevertheless, no significant increase in digital-media PCK was found, which could be due to the small sample. The seminar design, however, was predominantly evaluated positively by experts and PSTs in guided interviews. Based on the results, it is planned to further refine the original seminar using a Design-Based Research approach.
"}],"date_created":"2024-05-17T13:20:33Z","file":[{"file_name":"Weiler_2024_J._Phys._Conf._Ser._2750_012041.pdf","file_size":880165,"access_level":"closed","relation":"main_file","date_updated":"2024-05-17T13:22:06Z","file_id":"54319","content_type":"application/pdf","success":1,"creator":"riejon","date_created":"2024-05-17T13:22:06Z"}],"department":[{"_id":"299"}],"type":"conference"}]
