To support the development of knowledge networks with undergraduate students of comparative literary and cultural studies, this project utilized portfolio work as a method of self-actuating and self-reflective learning suitable for motivating examinations of learning contents and contributing to students’ skill development. Using naturalistic observations of the portfolio work within the seminar, effects and developments were recorded. With partly quantitative, predominantly qualitative content analyses of the portfolios, concrete connections between learning contents were determined. The explorative study shows changed perspectives and peaked interests of the students because of portfolio work as well as diverse contextualisations, comparisons and connections in the portfolios, thus offering a possible starting point for structural recommendations for the discipline of comparative literary and cultural studies.","lang":"eng"}],"related_material":{"link":[{"description":"INFO","relation":"other","url":"https://www.wbv.de/shop/Paderborner-Beitraege-2025-HSLT2601W"}]},"date_created":"2025-09-29T12:34:48Z","type":"journal_article","keyword":["Portfolioarbeit","portfolio work","vernetztes Wissen","knowledge networks","Beobachtung","naturalistic observation","Inhaltsanalyse","content analysis"],"department":[{"_id":"116"}],"year":"2026","title":"Potenziale der Portfolioarbeit für den Aufbau vernetzten Wissens im Bachelorstudium: Eine Explorationsstudie im Studienfach Komparatistik/Vergleichende Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft","author":[{"orcid":"0009-0005-8959-6182","first_name":"Ronja","last_name":"Hannebohm","full_name":"Hannebohm, Ronja","id":"27419"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["2199–8825"]},"publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2026-08-04T13:00:09Z","article_type":"original","intvolume":" 12","main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://www.wbv.de/shop/openaccess-direct/HSL2606W"}],"language":[{"iso":"ger"}],"doi":"10.3278/HSL2606W","citation":{"chicago":"Hannebohm, Ronja. “Potenziale der Portfolioarbeit für den Aufbau vernetzten Wissens im Bachelorstudium: Eine Explorationsstudie im Studienfach Komparatistik/Vergleichende Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft.” die hochschullehre: Interdisziplinäre Zeitschrift für Studium und Lehre 12 (2026): 65–80. https://doi.org/10.3278/HSL2606W.","short":"R. However, being susceptible toward hydrolysis, oxidation, non‑specific binding, and nuclease digestion, unmodified nucleic acids are rapidly degraded in vivo, resulting in poor therapeutic performance. Therefore, several stabilization strategies have been developed in order to protect those fragile molecules against adverse conditions during storage and in the body, while simultaneously accommodating their various mechanisms of action such as cellular uptake, target binding, or translation. These strategies include chemical modifications at the nucleoside level, complexation with proteins and polymers, and encapsulation in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). Despite this variety of available methods, the field still faces many challenges, and this issue aims to provide an overview of the ongoing efforts to enhance the stability of therapeutic nucleic acids."}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.18609/nai.2026.055","author":[{"full_name":"Keller, Adrian Clemens","last_name":"Keller","orcid":"0000-0001-7139-3110","first_name":"Adrian Clemens","id":"48864"}],"year":"2026","title":"Ongoing efforts to enhance stability","intvolume":" 3","date_updated":"2026-08-06T06:59:39Z"},{"citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Mensendiek_Preuß_Rook_Chicano_Whitley_Trautmann_2026, title={Digging to the Ground Truth: Solving Multi-objective Gray-Box Optimization Problems through Hyperplane Elimination}, DOI={10.1145/3795095.3805136}, booktitle={Proceedings of the Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference, GECCO 2026, Centro Internacional de Convenciones CIC-ANDE, San Jose, Costa Rica, July 13-17, 2026}, publisher={ACM}, author={Mensendiek, Carolin and Preuß, Oliver Ludger and Rook, Jeroen and Chicano, Francisco and Whitley, Darrell and Trautmann, Heike}, editor={Trujillo, Leonardo and Hu, Ting}, year={2026}, pages={134–142} }","ama":"Mensendiek C, Preuß OL, Rook J, Chicano F, Whitley D, Trautmann H. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es wichtig, dass die wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft gezielte Unterstützungsangebote für WiKa bereitstellt, in denen sie neben dem fachlichen Austausch auch Möglichkeiten\r\nzur Vernetzung und sozialen Unterstützung haben. In the present study, participants viewed video sequences of a basketball player passing to the left or right, either with or without a head fake. In the buzzer task, participants moved laterally to press a response button as if to intercept the pass. In the vocal task, they verbally indicated pass direction. Reaction times (RTs), movement times (MTs), and medio-lateral center-of-pressure (CoP) displacements were recorded to investigate whether motor output is rapid and stimulus-driven or rather requires continuous integration of fake and pass cues. Further, we investigated whether the mere observation of a basketball player leads to overt micromovements even if no response movement is intended. The data analysis shows that head fakes increased RTs in both the buzzer and vocal tasks. In the buzzer task, head fakes induced an initial, small erroneous CoP shift, which was then rapidly corrected. When CoP trajectories were aligned by head orientation, fake and non-fake trajectories diverged shortly after movement onset. In the present dynamic sport-related context, this pattern is more compatible with the early integration of head and pass information than with a strictly sequential prime-target account, although the paradigm differs from classic Rapid Chase Theory designs with discrete primes and target events. In the vocal task, participants were not instructed to move, yet CoP traces showed tiny but systematically lateralized micromovements with a temporal structure resembling that in the buzzer task, albeit without an initial erroneous shift for head fakes. These postural fluctuations are consistent with action-observation-related motor activation, although they do not uniquely identify motor resonance and may also reflect attentional or generalized embodied response tendencies. A clear deceptive response conflict at the postural level emerged only when a lateralized action was prepared.
"}],"date_created":"2026-08-10T10:34:01Z","type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"17"},{"_id":"266"}],"status":"public","_id":"66689","publisher":"Springer Science and Business Media LLC","user_id":"52000","volume":16,"citation":{"short":"I. However, its multimode nature also makes it challenging to measure its properties. Recently [I. Barakat et al., Optica Quantum 3, 36 (2025)], a technique for the simultaneous measurement of squeezing of multiple broadband modes based on a phase-sensitive amplification approach was experimentally implemented using a setup that effectively corresponds to an SU(1,1) interferometer. Here, we aim to provide a complete theoretical analysis of the modal structure of (generally unbalanced) SU(1,1) interferometers and a detailed theoretical formal derivation of the framework for this technique. Utilizing the joint Schmidt decomposition of the transfer functions, we investigate the shape and phase profiles of the modes of the SU(1,1) interferometer and its components [parametric down-conversion (PDC) sections] for different parametric gain regimes. We discover a complicated interplay between the PDC modes and the modes of the entire interferometer, and analyze it by using their overlap coefficients as a similarity measure. Finally, we develop a rigorous processing method for the aforementioned multimode squeezing measurement technique and discuss necessary approximations to make this method experimentally feasible.","lang":"eng"}],"date_created":"2026-08-05T11:51:21Z","department":[{"_id":"975"},{"_id":"15"},{"_id":"623"},{"_id":"569"},{"_id":"170"},{"_id":"35"},{"_id":"429"},{"_id":"34"},{"_id":"502"}],"type":"journal_article"},{"_id":"66709","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"publisher":"Universitätsbibliothek","doi":"10.17619/UNIPB/1-2636","user_id":"58595","editor":[{"full_name":"Graessler, Iris","first_name":"Iris","last_name":"Graessler"}],"year":"2026","title":"Corporate resilience through generic AI-based workflows in strategic product planning","status":"public","conference":{"location":"Paderborn","start_date":"2026-03-24","name":"International Symposium on Hybrid Intelligence in Product and Production Engineering 1. 2026 Paderborn","end_date":"2026-03-26"},"author":[{"id":"58595","full_name":"Özcan, Deniz","last_name":"Özcan","first_name":"Deniz"},{"id":"47565","orcid":"0000-0001-5765-971X","first_name":"Iris","last_name":"Gräßler","full_name":"Gräßler, Iris"}],"date_updated":"2026-08-13T13:12:01Z","date_created":"2026-08-13T13:08:25Z","type":"conference","department":[{"_id":"43"},{"_id":"9"},{"_id":"26"},{"_id":"152"}],"publication":"1st International Symposium: March 24 – 26, 2026, Heinz Nixdorf Institute, Paderborn University","citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Özcan_Gräßler_2026, title={Corporate resilience through generic AI-based workflows in strategic product planning}, DOI={10.17619/UNIPB/1-2636}, booktitle={1st International Symposium: March 24 – 26, 2026, Heinz Nixdorf Institute, Paderborn University}, publisher={Universitätsbibliothek}, author={Özcan, Deniz and Gräßler, Iris}, editor={Graessler, Iris}, year={2026} }","ama":"Özcan D, Gräßler I. Companies face significant challenges in systematically monitoring and interpreting heterogeneous environmental data originating from diverse sources, formats, and temporal contexts. While predefined workflows and decision trees can support strategic analysis, they often lack the flexibility required to cope with dynamic market conditions and foresightrelated data from extreme dispersed and heterogeneous sources. This paper proposes a method to enhance corporate resilience through the application of generic, reusable AI-based workflows in strategic product planning. The approach integrates Data Science and Artificial Intelligence methods into modular, visually modelled workflows that enable hybrid human-AI decision-making. Based on a systematic literature review and an analysis of industrial challenges, key success factors and resilience criteria are identified. These insights are used to develop a method that supports internal and external analyses, scenario-based strategy development, and adaptive implementation monitoring within a generic workflow structure. The method leverages techniques such as machine learning and generative AI to process structured and unstructured data, identify patterns, and support real-time strategic assessments. Validation with decision-makers from medium-sized companies demonstrates improved transparency, repeatability, and cross-functional collaboration compared to predefined workflows.","lang":"eng"}]},{"ddc":["200"],"user_id":"83446","page":"1-17","publisher":"Informa UK Limited","_id":"66705","has_accepted_license":"1","status":"public","oa":"1","quality_controlled":"1","popular_science":"1","file_date_updated":"2026-08-13T10:52:38Z","citation":{"bibtex":"@article{Ghaffar_2026, title={The Words of Jesus and Scriptural Hermeneutics in the Qur’an}, DOI={10.1080/09596410.2026.2705056}, journal={Islam and Christian–Muslim Relations}, publisher={Informa UK Limited}, author={Ghaffar, Zishan}, year={2026}, pages={1–17} }","ama":"Ghaffar Z. It investigates the extent to which this formula is connected to Jesus’s words to Mary Magdalene on Easter morning in John 20:17. The analysis aims to show that the Qur’an critically engages with the Christian interpretive tradition surrounding this statement as recorded in John’s Gospel and adapts it – both contextually and verbally – within its own theological framework. As in the Christian tradition, this Qur’anic engagement also generates a broader discourse on the hermeneutics of scriptural interpretation.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"Islam and Christian–Muslim Relations"},{"publication":"1st International Symposium: March 24 – 26, 2026, Heinz Nixdorf Institute, Paderborn University","citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Gräßler_Goldstein_2026, title={Hybrid decision support in strategic product planning}, DOI={10.17619/UNIPB/1-2644}, booktitle={1st International Symposium: March 24 – 26, 2026, Heinz Nixdorf Institute, Paderborn University}, publisher={Universitätsbibliothek}, author={Gräßler, Iris and Goldstein, Julius Hendrik}, editor={Gräßler, Iris}, year={2026} }","ama":"Gräßler I, Goldstein JH. Decisions made in this phase strongly influence subsequent life cycle phases but are characterized by high uncertainty, fragmented information, and predominantly qualitative assessment practices. At the same time, increasing digitalization generates large, heterogeneous, and dynamic data from markets, engineering, usage, and sustainability domains. In this work, such information is understood as extreme data, as its heterogeneity, variety, and dynamics exceed the capabilities of traditional planning approaches. This paper investigates the potential of leveraging extreme data to strengthen hybrid decision support in strategic product planning. A structured literature review is conducted to identify key challenges. These challenges are analysed along the generic product life cycle to capture decision points, information flows, and information circularity. Relevant data sources are identified with respect to their relevance for strategic decisions. Based on this analysis, seventeen potentials for hybrid decision support are derived and clustered into five fields of action. The results indicate that extreme data can enhance strategic foresight, idea evaluation and portfolio decisions, lifecycle-spanning knowledge integration, engineering support for strategic decisions, and the adoption of AI-based methods.","lang":"eng"}],"quality_controlled":"1","date_created":"2026-08-13T07:29:06Z","type":"conference","department":[{"_id":"152"}],"status":"public","title":"Hybrid decision support in strategic product planning","year":"2026","author":[{"last_name":"Gräßler","first_name":"Iris","orcid":"0000-0001-5765-971X","full_name":"Gräßler, Iris","id":"47565"},{"id":"63262","first_name":"Julius Hendrik","last_name":"Goldstein","full_name":"Goldstein, Julius Hendrik"}],"conference":{"start_date":"2026-03-24","name":"International Symposium on Hybrid Intelligence in Product and Production Engineering 1. 2026 Paderborn","location":"Paderborn","end_date":"2026-03-26"},"date_updated":"2026-08-13T12:58:49Z","publisher":"Universitätsbibliothek","_id":"66702","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"user_id":"63262","doi":"10.17619/UNIPB/1-2644","editor":[{"first_name":"Iris","last_name":"Gräßler","full_name":"Gräßler, Iris"}]}]
