text: AbstractA comprehensive investigation of
the potential of aqueous glucosamine solutions as an eco‐friendly solvent for
CO2 capture was performed. It includes an experimental study
in a pilot plant setup and a theoretical analysis with a rate‐based model. The
model was validated against the measured column profiles of temperature and CO2
concentration in both liquid and gas phases. Model‐based parameter sensitivity
studies revealed inherent challenges for an effective absorption process. A slow
reaction rate and suboptimal chemical equilibrium conditions were identified as
key limitations, restricting the absorption efficiency and CO2
loading capacity of the glucosamine solution. Furthermore, an analysis of the
dissociation constant of this novel absorbent was performed and its significance
with respect to the (limited) performance, capability, and efficiency evaluation
was highlighted.

text: Metaphorical language is a pivotal element inthe realm of political framing.
Existing workfrom linguistics and the social sciences providescompelling evidence
regarding the distinctivenessof conceptual framing for politicalideology perspectives.
However, the nature andutilization of metaphors and the effect on audiencesof
different political ideologies withinpolitical discourses are hardly explored.
Toenable research in this direction, in this workwe create a dataset, originally
based on newseditorials and labeled with their persuasive effectson liberals and
conservatives and extend itwith annotations pertaining to metaphorical usageof
language. To that end, first, we identifyall single metaphors and composite metaphors.Secondly,
we provide annotations of the sourceand target domains for each metaphor. As aresult,
our corpus consists of 300 news editorialsannotated with spans of texts containingmetaphors
and the corresponding domains ofwhich these metaphors draw from. Our analysisshows
that liberal readers are affected bymetaphors, whereas conservatives are resistantto
them. Both ideologies are affected differentlybased on the metaphor source and
targetcategory. For example, liberals are affected bymetaphors in the Darkness
{&} Light (e.g., death)source domains, where as the source domain ofNature affects
conservatives more significantly.

text: "Dieser Beitrag stellt zwei Seminarkonzeptionen vor, in welchen technisch-didaktische\r\nVorüberlegungen,
Lehr-/Lernaktivitäten und Prüfmodalitäten unter der Bedingung\r\nvon Digitalität
skizziert werden. Es wird das digitale wissenschaftliche Lesen und\r\nSchreiben
ins Zentrum der Interaktion mit digitalen Technologien gestellt. In den Se\r\nminaren
wurden von Studierenden selbstständig Daten (Text) gesammelt, ausgewertet\r\nund
geclustert. Die kollaborative cloudbasierte Speicherung der Seminardaten, der\r\nEinbezug
einer geteilten Literaturdatenbank sowie der Einsatz der Notizsoftware Obsi\r\ndian.md
beim gemeinschaftlichen wissenschaftlichen Lesen und Schreiben wurden er\r\nprobt.
Zentrale Herausforderung war die Doppelrolle der Dozierenden (Verantwor\r\ntung
für Lehr-/Lernsetting vs. Techniksupport). Herausragend war die Partizipation\r\nund
Verantwortungsübernahme der Studierenden in den Seminarsitzungen und beim\r\nPeersupport."

text: In dieser Arbeit werden Untersuchungen zur sauerstoffabhängigen Photolumineszenz
von Zink-Zinn-Oxid-Partikeln präsentiert, welche perspektivisch für die optische
Sauerstoffdetektion eingesetzt werden sollen. Zink-Zinn-Oxid zeigt eine sauerstoffabhängige
Photolumineszenz im sichtbaren Spektralbereich und wird hier als eine photostabile
Alternative zu den kommerziell verfügbaren metallorganischen Verbindungen vorgestellt.
Der Fokus liegt dabei auf dem Einfluss der Temperatur auf die Sauerstoffsensitivität
der Photolumineszenz. Wir zeigen, dass bereits leichte Temperaturerhöhungen zu
einer signifikanten Verbesserung der Sauerstoffsensitivität der Photolumineszenz
führen und gleichzeitig die Signalqualität erhöhen.
