Theology and So-cial Work, exploring how theological concepts and interreligious
dialogue inform and critically engage social practice. \r\nDrawing on insights
\ from education, psychosocial support, military chaplaincy, and community-building,
it reveals the transformative potential of comparative theology in addressing
migration, marginalization, and social fragmentation. The contributions critically
examine the ethical depth and practical challenges of integrating religious perspectives
into social work, offering valuable insights for theory and praxis in pluralistic
societies, while also showing the limits and challenges of theoretical models.\r\nOverall,
when critically and contextually applied, impulses from comparative theology offer
both conceptual depth and practical tools for ethical, inclusive, and transformative
social engagement.\r\n\r\n"

text: 'This volume examines the Rabbinic, Qur’anic and Christian understandings
of prophecy from a historical and comparative theological perspective. The Rabbinic
perspectives on the phenomenon of prophecy are analyzed in their historical continuity
and engagement with the theological traditions of Islam and Christianity. The
examination of female prophecy also occupies a central place here. Similarly,
several contributors describe the deep roots of Qur’anic prophetology in the Christian
and Jewish traditions of Late Antiquity and the Arabic context. Finally, the anthology
attempts to reflect on these different theological traditions of prophecy in the
Christian, Jewish, and Qur’anic traditions from a comparative theological perspective
and to discuss the possible theological significance of this phenomenon in the
modern age. '

text: ' Although Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ (Q 112) is one of the shortest sūrahs of the Qurʾān,
it has led to an extensive commentary on its structure and content in Muslim exe-getical
literature and in Western scholarship. This article takes the recent attempt to
contextualize the sūrah in Western scholarship as a starting point and proposes
new evidence for the nature of the religious milieu that shaped its form and content.
It posits several “intertexts” of creedal expressions, which shed light on the
discursive nature of the sūrah.'
