Das vorgeschlagene Konzept nutzt dafür ein dezentrales Energiemanagementsystem, das über drei Hierarchieebenen verteilt ist: die Geräteebene, die Haushaltsebene und die Ortsnetzebene. Auf der Geräteebene nutzt dieses Konzept zusätzlich Betriebsflexibilitäten der Haushaltsgeräte aus.}},
