The goal was to quantify the comparability and reproducibility of measurements of the Bingham parameters yield stress and plastic viscosity when measured on one specific paste composition and one particular ultrasound gel in different laboratories using different rheometers and measurement geometries. The procedures for both in preparing the cement paste and carrying out the rheological measurements on cement paste and ultrasound gel were carefully defined for all of the study’s participants. Different conversion schemes for comparing the results obtained with the different measurement setups are presented here and critically discussed. Usually, for parallel-plate geometries, the tip-to-tip distance is used for calculation of absolute rheological values, which implies that there is no flow behind this distance. However, several studies show that this is not true. Therefore, the measuring gap needs to be corrected by adding the effective gap extension    δ    to the prescribed gap height    H    in order to obtain absolute rheological properties. In this paper, we determine the effective gap extension    δ    for different structures and fluids (Newtonian, shear thinning, and model suspensions that can be adjusted to the behavior of real fluids) and compare the corrected values to reference data. We observe that for Newtonian fluids a gap- and material-independent correction function can be derived for every measuring system, which is also applicable to suspensions, but not to shear thinning fluids. Ein Anwendungsgebiet liegt dabei in der Herstellung dentaler Restaurationen, bei denen die Metallgerüste für Kronen und Brücken mittels Laser-Strahlschmelzen hergestellt werden. Aufgrund des schichtweisen Aufbaus und der direkten digitalen Fertigung eignet sich die additive Fertigung in besonderem Maße für die Herstellung dieser Bauteile mit individueller Geometrie. Allerdings fehlt der Nachweis, dass die geforderte Teilequalität reproduzierbar erreicht wird. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit wird ein Konzept zur Qualitätssicherung erarbeitet, das ein standardisiertes Prüfverfahren zum Nachweis der Maschinenqualifikation für den beschriebenen Anwendungsfall beinhaltet. Dazu werden Qualitätsanforderungen ermittelt und mit dem Stand der Technik abgeglichen. Basierend darauf erfolgen Untersuchungen zur Korrelation zwischen mechanischen und physikalischen Materialkennwerten, wofür durch Variation der Fertigungsparameter gezielt Bauteile mit unterschiedlicher Porosität erzeugt werden. In der Folge wird die Porosität als Prüfgröße festgelegt. Ausgehend von den definierten Qualitätsanforderungen und den Versuchsergebnissen wird ein Verfahren zum Nachweis der Maschinenqualifikation basierend auf der Berechnung des potenziellen Maschinenleistungsindexes erarbeitet und exemplarisch für das verwendete Fertigungssystem angewendet. A support tool to choose the appropriate method of foresight is not available yet. Thus, a literature study on foresight methods in industry is performed and a novel decision support tool is proposed which avoids high entrepreneurial risks. For early education, increasingly, the setting of a kindergarten is targeted. However, when cHRI and research are brought into a kindergarten, a range of ethical and related procedural aspects have to be considered and dealt with.While ethical models elaborated within other human–robot interaction settings, e.g., assisted living contexts, can provide some important indicators for relevant issues, we argue that it is important to start developing a systematic approach to identify and tackle those ethical issues which rise with cHRI in kindergarten settings on a more global level and address the impact of the technology from a macroperspective beyond the effects on the individual. Based on our experience in conducting studies with children in general and pedagogical considerations on the role of the institution of kindergarten in specific, in this paper,we enfold some relevant aspects that have barely been addressed in an explicit way in current cHRI research. Four areas are analyzed and key ethical issues are identified in each area: (1) the institutional setting of a kindergarten, (2) children as a vulnerable group, (3) the caregivers’ role, and (4) pedagogical concepts. Selbstoptimierende Systeme sind als Stellvertreter der Klasse intelligenter Systeme durch die autonome zielkonforme Adaption des Systemverhaltens charakterisiert. Dabei stellen mechatronische Systeme eine der Grundlagen dieser Systemklasse dar, indem die Umwelt- und Betriebsbedingungen sowie die Systemzustände sensorisch erfasst und das dynamische Systemverhalten zielgerichtet beeinflusst werden. Der große Funktionsumfang intelligenter technischer Systeme geht mit einer Zunahme der Systemkomplexität einher, die eine Herausforderung bei der Absicherung der Verlässlichkeit darstellt. Dem gegenüber bieten insbesondere selbstoptimierende Systeme Potenziale zur Steigerung der Verlässlichkeit. Die Umsetzung entsprechender Maßnahmen erfordert die Unterstützung des Entwicklungsprozesses durch geeignete Methoden. Die Beherrschung der zunehmenden Systemkomplexität ist durch die Verwendung vorhandener Modelle des Entwicklungsprozesses möglich, wird aber in aktuellen Methoden nicht umfänglich genutzt. Das Ziel ist die Absicherung der Verlässlichkeit bereits in frühen Entwicklungsphasen bis hin in späte Lebenszyklusphasen. Es wird eine Methode für die integrierte Modellierung der Zuverlässigkeit, als zentrale Kenngröße der Verlässlichkeit, und des dynamischen Systemverhaltens entwickelt.
