Durch maschinelle Lernverfahren besteht das Potenzial den Modellierungsaufwand im Vergleich zum klassischen Vorgehen zu reduzieren, indem physikalisches Vorwissen und an Messdaten trainierte Modelle effektiv zusammengeführt werden. Diese Dissertation entwickelt Methoden zur datengetriebenen Bestimmung von Modellen für den Regelungsentwurf nichtlinearer mechatronischer Systeme. Dazu wird die regelungstechnische Anwendbarkeit von Koopman-Operator-basierten Verfahren analysiert, die nichtlineare Dynamiken durch lineare Modelle approximieren. Darüber hinaus wird ein neuartiges Verfahren zur datengetriebenen Bestimmung von Port-Hamilton-Modellen entwickelt, die Energiezusammenhänge plausibel abbilden und sich unmittelbar für einen passivitätsbasierten Regelungsentwurf verwenden lassen. Zudem werden Ansätze zur automatischen Aktualisierung des im Regelkreis verwendeten Streckenmodells bei Modellunsicherheiten oder auftretenden Veränderungen der Systemdynamik vorgestellt. Experimentelle sowie simulative Untersuchungen demonstrieren die herausragende Prädiktionsgenauigkeit der datengetriebenen Modelle und die hohe Regelgüte. Dies eröffnet neue Perspektiven für zukünftige Anwendungen und Weiterentwicklungen."},{"lang":"eng","text":"Model-based control design requires accurate insight into the dynamic behavior of the underlying physical system. Machine learning methods have the potential to reduce modeling efforts compared to the classic approach by effectively combining physical prior knowledge and models trained on measurement data. This dissertation develops methods to determine data-driven models for the control design of nonlinear mechatronic systems. For this purpose, the control applicability of Koopman operator-based methods, which approximate nonlinear dynamics by linear models, is analyzed. In addition, a novel method is developed for the data-driven determination of port-Hamiltonian models, which plausibly represent energy flows and can be directly utilized for passivity-based control design. Moreover, approaches for automatically updating the plant model used in the control loop are presented in case of model uncertainties or occuring changes in system dynamics during operation. Experimental and simulative studies demonstrate the outstanding prediction accuracy of the data-driven models and the high control performance. The findings of this dissertation make a significant contribution because the data-driven models exhibit a form that is highly usable for control engineering. They are physically interpretable and can be seamlessly integrated into existing analysis and design methods. Even in Model-Based Systems Engineering, there is a lack of systematic support that results in avoidable costs and iterations in the engineering process. Planning test cases and test scenarios along the product engineering process is not sufficiently integrated in terms of support especially for verification and validation engineers. Based on a systematic literature review, concepts for model-based planning of testing are developed. Characteristics of test cases and test scenarios of CPS are systematically identified. Generic templates for the creation of test cases and scenarios are derived. Based on the templates, a System Modeling Language (SysML) profile extension is developed which enables intuitive modelling of test cases and scenarios. The SysML profile is evaluated in a sample System-of-Systems in Disaster Response. It subsumes various types of sensor systems like rescue robotics, data science algorithms and visualization technologies like Augmented Reality to support decisions in extreme weather events. To characterize the load-bearing behavior of such joints, they are typically analyzed destructively, for example by tensile-shear tests in combination with metallographic sections. However, both the initiation and progress of failure can only be described to a limited extent by this method. Furthermore, these tests allow only limited conclusions about clinch points under in-service loading. More purposefully, clinch points can be analyzed nondestructively by combining in-situ computed tomography (CT) and transient dynamic analysis (TDA). The TDA continuously measures the dynamic behavior of the specimen and indicates failure events like crack initiation, which then can be evaluated thoroughly by stopping the test and performing a CT scan. To qualify the TDA for this task, it is necessary to link the observed damage behavior with specific dynamic characteristics. In this work, the complementation of in-situ CT and TDA is investigated by testing a clinched single-lap tensile-shear specimen made of aluminum. The testing procedure is stepwise: at certain displacement levels, the specimen is investigated by in-situ CT and TDA. While the in-situ CT provides the location, extent, and development of the failure phenomena, the TDA uses this information to evaluate the dynamic signal and detect relevant frequency ranges, which indicate damage events. The results demonstrate, that failure initiation and progression can be analyzed efficiently by combining both measuring systems. The TDA reliably detects relevant signal changes in the monitored frequency band. By means of in-situ computed tomography, the corresponding failure phenomena can be described in detail, enhancing the understanding of the load-bearing and deformation behavior of clinch points. Specimens were corroded in aqueous NaCl electrolyte (0.1 mol/L) over a period of up to 31 days and characterized continuously by means of scanning electron and light microscopy, supplemented by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Comparative linear sweep voltammetry was employed on the first and seventh day of the corrosion experiment. The influence of different laser morphologies and production process parameters on corrosion behavior was compared. The corrosion reaction mainly arises from the aluminum component and shows distinct differences in long-term corrosion morphology between pure EN AW-6082 and the hybrid laminate. Compared to short-term investigations, a strong influence of galvanic corrosion on the interface is assumed. No distinct influences of different laser structuring and process parameters on the corrosion behavior were detected. The viscoelastic relaxation of a thermoplastic nut, which is predominantly screwed on a welding stud, is described by a material card using Prony Series. Prony Series are derived from experimental Dynamical Mechanical Analysis with different moisture and fiber contents of the thermoplastic. Since plastic nuts usually do not have preformed threads, the increased temperatures and resulting stresses from the thread-forming process are considered in the simulation. Firstly, the FE model is verified by substrate stress relaxation tests. Subsequently, experimental clamp load measurements with miniature compression load cells verify the clamp load prediction. Der modellbasierte Entwurf basiert auf einem genauen Simulationsmodell. Allerdings ist dieser klassische Weg bei komplexen Systemen oft nicht praktikabel, da die analytische Modellierung zu kompliziert und zeitaufwendig ist. Diese Forschungslücke wird durch Verfahren adressiert, die eine effiziente und sichere Inbetriebnahme ermöglichen. Diese Verfahren kombinieren Regelungstechnik und Reinforcement Learning und nutzen vorhandenes Wissen über die Regelungsaufgabe, um Korrekturen basierend auf Messdaten und der probabilistischen Gauß-Prozess-Regression vorzunehmen. Das Vorwissen kann als teilweise bekanntes physikalisches Modell oder als Steuerungsfunktion vorliegen. Anwendungsbeispiele sind der Ultraschalldrahtbondprozess, verschiedene Pendelsysteme und ein Hexapod. Model-based design is based on a precise simulation model. However, this classic approach is often impractical for complex systems, as analytical modeling is too complicated and time-consuming. This research gap is addressed by methods that enable efficient and safe commissioning. These methods combine control engineering and reinforcement learning and use existing knowledge about the control task to make corrections based on measurement data and probabilistic Gaussian process regression. The prior knowledge can be available as a partially known physical model or as a control function. Application examples include the ultrasonic wire bonding process, various pendulum systems and a hexapod. An adapted Bayesian optimization is used to identify a control parameterization for ultrasonic bonding. In addition, a hybrid optimal control for the double pendulum on a cart is developed and successfully validated. A hybrid state linearization is formulated for a hexapod for vehicle axle testing and a proof of concept is provided in a simulation. Compliance with technical framework conditions and stable system behavior are ensured by probabilistic predictions. For this reason, this study focuses on the development of a new forming technology for Ti-6Al-4V sheet metal. It is based on combination of solution treatment by resistive heating with rapid tool-based quenching and subsequent annealing. This new “TISTRAQ” process is comparable with press-hardening already known for steels and hot die quenching known for aluminium alloys. One of the main influencing factors for this process is the heat transfer coefficient (HTC). It is an important driver for adjustment of basic parameters, as selection of tool material or the forming speed but also plays an important role while elaborating temperature distribution in the numerical model. Therefore, a new and unique test rig was developed to determine the HTC and to perform tool-based heat treatment at specimen level under laboratory conditions. The test rig was used to investigate the influence of the titanium-tool-lubricant system on HTC and cooling rate. Further the effect of heat treatment in the test rig and tool-based quenching on microstructure and mechanical properties was studied. Chapter 14: Forming, Machining & Joining [version 1; not peer reviewed]","abstract":[{"text":"The phase and TTT diagrams of the Ti-6Al-4V system allow the development of a new forming process for a more energy- and materialefficient production of sheet metal parts. This new “TISTRAQ” process is composed of two steps. In terms of process technology, the first step is comparable to a direct press-hardening process already well known for steels. In this step, the Ti-6Al-4V sheet material is resistively heated to a temperature below β-transus Tβ and, after a very short holding time, simultaneously formed and quenched by use of water cooled tools. Thereby, the β phase undergoes a martensitic transformation. The second step is a subsequent short-time annealing, which leads to a hardening of the material. In this work, a new test rig using resistive heating technique was used in order to produce\r\ndifferent solution treated and tool quenched (STQ) and subsequently annealed (STA) states. In this paper, the effects of heating rate, solution treatment temperature and holding time on microstructure and mechanical properties are addressed. For the characterisation, tensile testing and scanning electron microscopy were used. By the systematic variation of applied processing parameters, dominating effects on microstructure and mechanical properties were evaluated. For example, the solution treatment temperature was found to have a significant effect on microstructural features and characteristic strength and strain values.
