  text: This paper presents the results of an interlaboratory study of the rheological
    properties of cement paste and ultrasound gel as reference substance. The goal
    was to quantify the comparability and reproducibility of measurements of the Bingham
    parameters yield stress and plastic viscosity when measured on one specific paste
    composition and one particular ultrasound gel in different laboratories using
    different rheometers and measurement geometries. The procedures for both in preparing
    the cement paste and carrying out the rheological measurements on cement paste
    and ultrasound gel were carefully defined for all of the study’s participants.
    Different conversion schemes for comparing the results obtained with the different
    measurement setups are presented here and critically discussed. The procedure
    proposed in this paper ensured a reasonable comparability of the results with
    a coefficient of variation for the yield stress of 27% and for the plastic viscosity
    of 24%, despite the individual measurement series’ having been performed in different
    labs with different rheometers and measurement geometries.

  text: <jats:p>Since suspensions (e.g., in food, cement, or cosmetics industries)
    tend to show wall slip, the application of structured measuring surfaces in rheometers
    is widespread. Usually, for parallel-plate geometries, the tip-to-tip distance
    is used for calculation of absolute rheological values, which implies that there
    is no flow behind this distance. However, several studies show that this is not
    true. Therefore, the measuring gap needs to be corrected by adding the effective
    gap extension    δ    to the prescribed gap height    H    in order to obtain
    absolute rheological properties. In this paper, we determine the effective gap
    extension    δ    for different structures and fluids (Newtonian, shear thinning,
    and model suspensions that can be adjusted to the behavior of real fluids) and
    compare the corrected values to reference data. We observe that for Newtonian
    fluids a gap- and material-independent correction function can be derived for
    every measuring system, which is also applicable to suspensions, but not to shear
    thinning fluids. Since this relation appears to be mainly dependent on the characteristics
    of flow behaviour, we show that the calibration of structured measuring systems
    is possible with Newtonian fluids and then can be transferred to suspensions up
    to a certain particle content.</jats:p>

  text: Die additive Fertigung gewinnt zunehmend Bedeutung für die Herstellung finaler
    Bauteile. Ein Anwendungsgebiet liegt dabei in der Herstellung dentaler Restaurationen,
    bei denen die Metallgerüste für Kronen und Brücken mittels Laser-Strahlschmelzen
    hergestellt werden. Aufgrund des schichtweisen Aufbaus und der direkten digitalen
    Fertigung eignet sich die additive Fertigung in besonderem Maße für die Herstellung
    dieser Bauteile mit individueller Geometrie. Allerdings fehlt der Nachweis, dass
    die geforderte Teilequalität reproduzierbar erreicht wird. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden
    Arbeit wird ein Konzept zur Qualitätssicherung erarbeitet, das ein standardisiertes
    Prüfverfahren zum Nachweis der Maschinenqualifikation für den beschriebenen Anwendungsfall
    beinhaltet. Dazu werden Qualitätsanforderungen ermittelt und mit dem Stand der
    Technik abgeglichen. Basierend darauf erfolgen Untersuchungen zur Korrelation
    zwischen mechanischen und physikalischen Materialkennwerten, wofür durch Variation
    der Fertigungsparameter gezielt Bauteile mit unterschiedlicher Porosität erzeugt
    werden. In der Folge wird die Porosität als Prüfgröße festgelegt. Ausgehend von
    den definierten Qualitätsanforderungen und den Versuchsergebnissen wird ein Verfahren
    zum Nachweis der Maschinenqualifikation basierend auf der Berechnung des potenziellen
    Maschinenleistungsindexes erarbeitet und exemplarisch für das verwendete Fertigungssystem
    angewendet. Abschließend werden Ansätze zur Weiterentwicklung des Verfahrens sowie
    für weiterführende Forschungsthemen dargestellt.

    to be a safe, successful and cost-effective procedure to restore hip joint functionality.
    However, a successful hip joint arthroplasty affects different stakeholders e.g.

    life cycle as well as the applied technological opportunities. Due to the complex

  text: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>As time-to-market is getting shorter,
    customer needs have to be identified as early as possible in product development.
    Correctly applied, corporate foresight can give a glimpse into the future to anticipate
    such needs and thus gain a competitive advantage. A support tool to choose the
    appropriate method of foresight is not available yet. Thus, a literature study
    on foresight methods in industry is performed and a novel decision support tool
    is proposed which avoids high entrepreneurial risks. Based on the findings, potentials
    for future work are identified for different types of methods.</jats:p>

  text: "In child–robot interaction (cHRI) research, many studies pursue the goal
    to develop interactive systems that can be applied in everyday settings. For early
    education, increasingly, the setting of a kindergarten is targeted. However, when
    cHRI and research are brought into a kindergarten, a range of ethical and related
    procedural aspects have to be considered and dealt with.While ethical models elaborated
    within other human–robot interaction settings, e.g., assisted living contexts,
    can provide some important indicators for relevant issues, we argue that it is
    important to start developing a systematic approach to identify and tackle those
    ethical issues which rise with cHRI in kindergarten settings on a more global
    level and address the impact of the technology from a macroperspective beyond
    the effects on the individual. Based on our experience in conducting studies with
    children in general and pedagogical considerations on the role of the institution
    of kindergarten in specific, in this paper,we enfold some relevant aspects that
    have barely been addressed in an explicit way in current cHRI research. Four areas
    are analyzed and key ethical issues are identified in each area: (1) the institutional
    setting of a kindergarten, (2) children as a vulnerable group, (3) the caregivers’
    role, and (4) pedagogical concepts. With our considerations, we aim at (i) broadening\r\nthe
    methodology of the current studies within the area of cHRI, (ii) revalidate it
    based on our comprehensive empirical\r\nexperience with research in kindergarten
    settings, both laboratory and real-world contexts, and (iii) provide a framework
    for the development of a more systematic approach to address the ethical issues
    in cHRI research within kindergarten settings."

  text: Die digitale Transformation prägt die Entwicklung intelligenter technischer
    Systeme, welche durch Vernetzung und inhärente Intelligenz einen weiten Funktionsumfang
    aufweisen. Selbstoptimierende Systeme sind als Stellvertreter der Klasse intelligenter
    Systeme durch die autonome zielkonforme Adaption des Systemverhaltens charakterisiert.
    Dabei stellen mechatronische Systeme eine der Grundlagen dieser Systemklasse dar,
    indem die Umwelt- und Betriebsbedingungen sowie die Systemzustände sensorisch
    erfasst und das dynamische Systemverhalten zielgerichtet beeinflusst werden. Der
    große Funktionsumfang intelligenter technischer Systeme geht mit einer Zunahme
    der Systemkomplexität einher, die eine Herausforderung bei der Absicherung der
    Verlässlichkeit darstellt. Dem gegenüber bieten insbesondere selbstoptimierende
    Systeme Potenziale zur Steigerung der Verlässlichkeit. Die Umsetzung entsprechender
    Maßnahmen erfordert die Unterstützung des Entwicklungsprozesses durch geeignete
    Methoden. Die Beherrschung der zunehmenden Systemkomplexität ist durch die Verwendung
    vorhandener Modelle des Entwicklungsprozesses möglich, wird aber in aktuellen
    Methoden nicht umfänglich genutzt. Das Ziel ist die Absicherung der Verlässlichkeit
    bereits in frühen Entwicklungsphasen bis hin in späte Lebenszyklusphasen. Es wird
    eine Methode für die integrierte Modellierung der Zuverlässigkeit, als zentrale
    Kenngröße der Verlässlichkeit, und des dynamischen Systemverhaltens entwickelt.
    Anhand von drei Anwendungsbeispielen wird gezeigt, dass diese Methode die Entwicklung
    von Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Verlässlichkeit in selbstoptimierenden Systemen
    ermöglicht, auf komplexe Systeme anwendbar ist und die Absicherung der Verlässlichkeit
    während des Betriebs mit Hilfe eines Digitalen Zwillings unterstützt.
