  text: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Increasing system complexity can
    be controlled by using systems engineering processes. INCOSE defines processes
    with inputs and outputs (artifacts) for this purpose. Specific SE roles are used
    to organize the tasks of the processes within the company. In this work, the responsibilities
    for artifacts are evaluated by means of the RACI scheme and examined by a cluster
    analysis and discussed for a SE transformation project with a German automotive
    OEM. As a result of the study, the optimal composition for systems engineering
    teams is identified and the systems engineering roles are prioritized.</jats:p>

  text: '<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Optimized material parameters obtained
    from parameter identification for verification wrt a certain loading scenario
    are amenable to two deficiencies: Firstly, they may lack a general validity for
    different loading scenarios. Secondly, they may be prone to instability, such
    that a small perturbation of experimental data may ensue a large perturbation
    for the material parameters. This paper presents a framework for extension of
    hyperelastic models for rubber-like materials accounting for both deficiencies.
    To this end, an additive decomposition of the strain energy function is assumed
    into a sum of weighted strain mode related quantities. We propose a practical
    guide for model development accounting for the criteria of verification, validation
    and stability by means of the strain mode-dependent weighting functions and techniques
    of model reduction. The approach is successfully applied for 13 hyperelastic models
    with regard to the classical experimental data on vulcanized rubber published
    by Treloar (Trans Faraday Soc 40:59–70, 1944), showing both excellent fitting
    capabilties and stable material parameters.</jats:p>'

    \               <jats:p>Due to the steadily increasing life expectancy of the
    population, the need for medical aids to maintain the previous quality of life
    is growing. The basis for independent mobility is a functional locomotor system.
    The hip joint can be so badly damaged by everyday wear or accelerated by illness
    that reconstruction by means of endoprostheses is necessary.</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec><jats:sec>\r\n
    \               <jats:title>Results</jats:title>\r\n                <jats:p>In
    order to ensure a high quality of life for the patient after this procedure as
    well as a long service life of the prosthesis, a high-quality design is required,
    so that many different aspects have to be taken into account when developing prostheses.
    Long-term medical studies show that the service life and operational safety of
    a hip prosthesis by best possible adaptation of the stiffness to that of the bone
    can be increased. The use of additive manufacturing processes enables to specifically
    change the stiffness of implant structures.</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec><jats:sec>\r\n
    \               <jats:title>Conclusions</jats:title>\r\n                <jats:p>Reduced
    implant stiffness leads to an increase in stress in the surrounding bone and thus
    to a reduction in bone resorption. Numerical methods are used to demonstrate this
    fact in the hip implant developed. The safety of use is nevertheless ensured by
    evaluating and taking into account the stresses that occur for critical load cases.
    These results are a promising basis to enable longer service life of prostheses
    in the future.</jats:p>\r\n              </jats:sec>"
