@article{63920,
  abstract = {{Coordinatively unsaturated sites (CUS) present a key feature of alumina based catalysts as they are believed to act as Lewis-acid sites in heterogeneously catalyzed reactions. In the present study, the direct observation of active species on a fluoride-doped aluminum oxide catalyst is demonstrated. This new fluoride-doped aluminum oxide exhibits strong Lewis-acid sites and superior catalytic activity as compared to gamma-Al2O3. To emphasize the labile state of Lewis-acid sites, two distinctive states of the catalysts surface are addressed using H-1-Al-27 cross polarization (CP) MAS NMR. On the one hand, the highly dehydrated and active state after calcination at 700 degrees C and on the other hand the rehydrated and catalytically inactive surface (produced by contact to air) are probed. These experiments revealed the presence of significant amounts of coordinatively unsaturated sites in the form of 4-and 5-fold coordinated Al-sites on the highly dehydrated surface. In contrast to this, the rehydrated sample exhibited a severely restructured surface caused by the chemisorption of H2O which is ’constituted in a manner that was proposed in earlier models for gamma-Al2O3 surfaces.}},

  abstract = {{In this paper we present theoretical, simulated and measured data for a reader to tag communication RFID system at 5.8 GHz. First a theoretical link budget analysis for a reader to tag architecture is shown for a wireless industrial application at 1m distance. This includes a power budget of the passively powered transponder. The received power level of the backscattered data for the theoretical link budget is -52:5 dBm. For the first setup slot antennas are developed and measured in the anechoic chamber. The measured gain is 4.0 dB. The power of the backscatter data in setup 1 is -74:8 dBm. This corresponds to the theoretical link budget since, all losses such as cable or lower antenna gain are taken into account. Setup 2 is upgraded on the reader side with horn antennas. At 5.8 GHz, the gain reaches the value of 10.8 dB. The second setup shows improvement in the receiving backscattered power to a value of -62:4 dBm. Furthermore, as a solution to detect those transponders not presented in the main slope of the antenna, a steerable beam is introduced by means of a Rotman lens. On the topic of the passive transponder, different harvesting topologies at 5.8 GHz are investigated, and the efficiency simulation of the harvesting circuitry has been performed. The simulated efficiency of the implemented technique is 68 %.}},

@article{32535,
  abstract = {{In this study, we draw on person–environment fit theory to analyze whether academic success is best explained by individual abilities subjectively exceeding situational demands or by abilities matching the demands. Moreover, we disentangled effects of perceived abilities and subjective person–environment (P-E) fit on academic success. All in all, 693 teacher education students participated in an online questionnaire. Students were asked to rate general requirements of their academic programs (e.g., self-discipline) on a 5-point scale in terms of (1) their own abilities and (2) the perceived relevance for their studies. P-E fit was determined by difference scores between abilities and relevance ratings. Academic success was assessed by grades, perceived performance, and study satisfaction. Data were analyzed through structural equation modeling and suggest that academic success is best explained by a match between abilities and demands. Moreover, all three criteria for academic success were more strongly related to subjective fit than to subjective abilities.}},
