  abstract = {{In “From One to Three?”, Johannes Grössl explores the 4th-century Trinitarian theory of Marcellus of Ancyra, proposing Emergent Social Trinitarianism as a modern paradigm. According to this theory, a primordial God became a Trinitarian God by freely choosing to be love or by freely creating a world to which He is related through a loving relationship. This model envisions God as an eternal primordial being who, through creation and incarnation, becomes a Trinity of three fully divine persons. Two persons (the Second and the Third) relinquish aspects of their divinity, becoming dependent on the First, while all three engage temporally in creation: the Father interacts with His creatures, the Son transforms in His earthly life (Hebr 5:8), and the Spirit proceeds from their mutual love.
Grössl positions Marcellus’ theory as an alternative to Latin and Social Trinitarianism, addressing key theological challenges such as divine temporality, relationality, and immutability. By blending historical and contemporary insights, this study highlights the enduring relevance of Marcellus’ thought for Trinitarian speculation and Christian tradition.

  abstract = {{In many scientific approaches, especially in those that try to foster explainability of Artificial Intelligences, a narrow conception of explaining prevails. This narrow conception implies that explaining is a one-directional action in which knowledge is transferred from the explainer to an addressee. By studying the amount of agency in metaphors for explaining in scientific texts, we want to find out – or at least to contribute a partial answer to the question – why this narrow conception is so dominant. For our analysis, we use a linguistic conception of agency, transitivity. This concept allows to specify the degree of agency or effectiveness of the action in a verbalised event. It is defined by several component parts. We detail and discuss both the parameters of and global transitivity. Overall, transitivity of explaining metaphors has a rather common pattern across metaphors. Agency is not high and reduced in characteristic aspects: The metaphors imply that the object of explaining is static, i.e., is not changed within the explanation, and that explaining is the activity of one person only. This pattern may account for the narrow conception of explaining. It contrasts strongly with current co-constructive or sociotechnical approaches to explainability.}},

A strong confinement effect was observed for cis-cyclooctene (cCOE), 1,5-cyclooctadiene (COD), (+)-2,3-endo,exo-dicarbomethoxynorborn-5-ene ((+)-DCMNBE), and 2-methyl-2-phenylcycloprop-1-ene (MPCP), allowing for the synthesis of low-molecular-weight cyclic polymers even at a high monomer concentration. The exclusive formation of cyclic polymers was demonstrated by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry. Confinement also influences stereoselectivity, resulting in a pronounced increase in Z-selectivity and in an increased cis-syndiospecificity.}},

@article{60031,
  abstract = {{Reputation systems to rate companies’ performances remain largely unexplored in research and are scarcely used in business-to-business (B2B) practice. Such systems are essential for businesses seeking trustworthy partners, as they help reduce information asymmetry, lower buyers' transaction risks, and allow high-quality service providers to justify premium pricing. Unlike traditional review-based systems in the business-to-consumer (B2C) context, we propose a B2B reputation mechanism in which buyers commit to a rating payment before a transaction. Once the buyer finalizes the rating, this payment is executed and recorded on a blockchain as an immutable, secure ledger. Our system mimics natural trust-building mechanisms with ratings that are (1) monetary-based, (2) stake-based, (3) non-aggregated, (4) involve counter-ratings, (5) selectively sellable, (6) individually comparable, (7) stored on a blockchain, (8) and monitored by a third instance. This system provides a novel approach to fostering trust in B2B transactions by reducing information asymmetry and transaction risk. We illustrate the mechanism’s application in the consulting sector. Our analysis has identified 23 institutional trust and distrust dimensions that promote establishing institutional trust through the proposed mechanism. Qualitative interviews suggest that, while complex and challenging to apply, this mechanism can foster trust in B2B transactions. Given the low maturity in the application domain—rating professional business services with business reputation systems—and solution domain—using monetary stakes for ratings, this system stands as a potential invention.}},
