text: "In “From One to Three?”, Johannes Grössl explores the 4th-century Trinitarian
theory of Marcellus of Ancyra, proposing Emergent Social Trinitarianism as a modern
paradigm. According to this theory, a primordial God became a Trinitarian God
by freely choosing to be love or by freely creating a world to which He is related
through a loving relationship. This model envisions God as an eternal primordial
being who, through creation and incarnation, becomes a Trinity of three fully
divine persons. Two persons (the Second and the Third) relinquish aspects of their
divinity, becoming dependent on the First, while all three engage temporally in
creation: the Father interacts with His creatures, the Son transforms in His earthly
life (Hebr 5:8), and the Spirit proceeds from their mutual love.\r\nGrössl positions
Marcellus’ theory as an alternative to Latin and Social Trinitarianism, addressing
key theological challenges such as divine temporality, relationality, and immutability.
By blending historical and contemporary insights, this study highlights the enduring
relevance of Marcellus’ thought for Trinitarian speculation and Christian tradition.\r\n"

text: 'In many scientific approaches, especially in those that try to foster explainability
of Artificial Intelligences, a narrow conception of explaining prevails. This
narrow conception implies that explaining is a one-directional action in which
knowledge is transferred from the explainer to an addressee. By studying the amount
of agency in metaphors for explaining in scientific texts, we want to find out
    – or at least to contribute a partial answer to the question – why this narrow
conception is so dominant. For our analysis, we use a linguistic conception of
agency, transitivity. This concept allows to specify the degree of agency or effectiveness
of the action in a verbalised event. It is defined by several component parts.
We detail and discuss both the parameters of and global transitivity. Overall,
transitivity of explaining metaphors has a rather common pattern across metaphors.
Agency is not high and reduced in characteristic aspects: The metaphors imply
that the object of explaining is static, i.e., is not changed within the explanation,
and that explaining is the activity of one person only. This pattern may account
for the narrow conception of explaining. It contrasts strongly with current co-constructive
    or sociotechnical approaches to explainability.'

text: The cationic molybdenum alkylidyne N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complex [Mo(C-p-OMeC6H4)(OCMe(CF3)2)2
    (IMes)][B(ArF4] (IMes = 1,3-dimesitylimidazol-2-ylidene) was selectively immobilized
inside the pores of ordered mesoporous silica (OMS) with pore diameters of 66,
56, and 28 Å and used in the ring-expansion metathesis polymerization (REMP) of
cyclic olefins to yield cyclic polymers. A strong confinement effect was observed
    for cis-cyclooctene (cCOE), 1,5-cyclooctadiene (COD), (+)-2,3-endo,exo-dicarbomethoxynorborn-5-ene
((+)-DCMNBE), and 2-methyl-2-phenylcycloprop-1-ene (MPCP), allowing for the synthesis
of low-molecular-weight cyclic polymers even at a high monomer concentration.
The exclusive formation of cyclic polymers was demonstrated by matrix-assisted
laser desorption ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry. Confinement
also influences stereoselectivity, resulting in a pronounced increase in Z-selectivity
    and in an increased cis-syndiospecificity.

text: Reputation systems to rate companies’ performances remain largely unexplored
in research and are scarcely used in business-to-business (B2B) practice. Such
systems are essential for businesses seeking trustworthy partners, as they help
reduce information asymmetry, lower buyers' transaction risks, and allow high-quality
service providers to justify premium pricing. Unlike traditional review-based
systems in the business-to-consumer (B2C) context, we propose a B2B reputation
mechanism in which buyers commit to a rating payment before a transaction. Once
the buyer finalizes the rating, this payment is executed and recorded on a blockchain
as an immutable, secure ledger. Our system mimics natural trust-building mechanisms
    with ratings that are (1) monetary-based, (2) stake-based, (3) non-aggregated,
    (4) involve counter-ratings, (5) selectively sellable, (6) individually comparable,
    (7) stored on a blockchain, (8) and monitored by a third instance. This system
provides a novel approach to fostering trust in B2B transactions by reducing information
asymmetry and transaction risk. We illustrate the mechanism’s application in the
consulting sector. Our analysis has identified 23 institutional trust and distrust
dimensions that promote establishing institutional trust through the proposed
mechanism. Qualitative interviews suggest that, while complex and challenging
to apply, this mechanism can foster trust in B2B transactions. Given the low maturity
in the application domain—rating professional business services with business
reputation systems—and solution domain—using monetary stakes for ratings, this
system stands as a potential invention.

  text:
Adiabatic demagnetization refrigeration (ADR) is regaining relevance
for refrigeration to temperatures below 1 K as global helium-3 supply is increasingly
strained. While ADR at these temperatures is long established with paramagnetic
hydrated salts, more recently, frustrated rare-earth oxides were found to offer
higher entropy densities and practical advantages, since they do not degrade under
heating or evacuation. We report structural, magnetic, and thermodynamic properties
of the rare-earth borates Ba3XB9O18 and Ba3XB3O9 with X = (Yb, Gd). Except for
Ba3GdB9O18, which orders at 108 mK, the three other materials remain paramagnetic
down to their lowest measured temperatures. ADR performance starting at 2 K in
a field of 5 T is analyzed and compared to literature.

  text: "
Abstract
\r\n
Industrial x-ray
computed tomography (CT) systems with high geometric flexibility are increasingly
utilized for large-scale measurement objects or challenging measurement tasks.
To maintain high accuracy when deviating from the established circular scan trajectory,
trajectory calibration methods using multi-sphere reference objects with known
marker positions are commonly employed. These multi-sphere objects can either
be scanned together with the measurement object (online trajectory calibration)
or in a separate scan (offline trajectory calibration). While offline calibration
increases machine time, it generally results in higher scan quality. However,
a sufficient pose repeatability is necessary to ensure comparable or even superior
accuracy to online calibration. In this contribution, we present a straightforward
procedure to compare both types of trajectory calibration in a way that the differences
of the results can directly be traced back to the influence of the pose repeatability.
The multi-sphere reference object is not only used for trajectory calibration,
but simultaneously as a measurement object for repeated measurements. The methodology
is tested on both a twin robotic CT system and a conventional CT system that is
additionally equipped with a hexapod manipulator for adaptive object tilting.
Results showed, independent from the type of trajectory calibration, systematic
measurement errors in the order of 10−5–10−4
of measured sphere distances and sphericity values below 50 \r\n

in comparison to systematic errors and the spread of different measurement features.
Overall, both investigated systems demonstrated sufficient positioning repeatability
for offline trajectory calibration. The method is in general also applicable to
any other types of manipulator systems used for CT devices. It provides a workflow
for the decision which type of trajectory calibration is preferable for a given
    CT system.
"

text: The thermal behavior of n-octanol and related ether alcohols has been studied
by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The melting point, heat of fusion,
and isobaric heat capacities of n-octanol obtained from the DSC measurements are
in good agreement with literature values. The ether alcohols display kinetic barriers
for forming a solid phase during cooldown. These barriers are least for 6-methoxyhexanol
that forms a solid upon cooling except for the highest measured temperature change
rate of 40 K·min–1, followed by 4-propoxybutanol that forms a solid during cooldown
only at low cooling rates. 2-Pentoxyethanol and 5-ethoxypentanol form a solid
during the heating cycle that then melts again upon further heating. 3-Butoxypropanol
does not display any exo- and endothermic features for all measured temperature
change rates. Consequently, new data on melting point and heats of fusion are
reported for the ether alcohols except for 3-butoxypropanol. New isobaric heat
capacities are presented as well for the liquid phase of these ether alcohols.

text: " This study investigates the effect of dispersion gas (DG) flow on the formation
and properties of maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) nanoparticles using standardized SpraySyn
burners (SS1 and SS2). Several diagnostics were employed to characterize the spray
and nanoparticles. \r\nIncreasing DG flow (6 - 12 slm) results in smaller droplet
sizes (DS), cooler flame temperatures, shorter high-temperature droplet/particle
residence times, and smaller agglomerates in the size range of 5 - 12 nm with
narrower primary particle size distribution, corresponding to higher mass fractal
dimensions, as supported by TEM and SMPS analysis, resulting in more compact agglomerates.
BET and TEM confirmed decreasing primary particle sizes with increasing DG flow.
Raman and XRD analyses predominantly identified maghemite, which shows a bimodal
distribution of crystallite sizes, while SS1 samples have a greater proportion
of larger crystallites.\r\nThe self-preserving size distributions of agglomerates
with a geometric standard deviation of 1.5 are reached faster with increasing
DG flow. The barrier effect of DG observed in SS1 leads to slower droplet combustion
kinetics, higher temperatures, and delayed precursor release, which, along with
downstream flow recirculation, result in significantly higher agglomeration rates
outside the visible flame. SS2 demonstrates improved atomization, more stable
flames, and finer, uniform nanoparticles with less carbonaceous residues (CR).
Conversely, SS1 showed broader DS distributions and higher CR levels on the γ-Fe2O3
surface, especially at higher DG flow.\r\nThis work highlights the essential role
of DG flow and nozzle geometry in controlling droplet evaporation, flame stability,
and nanoparticle growth, offering insights for optimizing SFS and validating numerical
    models.\r\n"

text: "Lead-containing piezoelectric ceramics are still the base for today’s ultrasonic
transducers used in broad applications. This is partly due to missing powerful
lead-free piezoelectric ceramic parts in the commercial market. There has been
much research on lead-free materials but developing them into marketable parts
seems to be an ongoing process. The actual exemption of ROHS has expired, but
as the new exemption has already been requested, ceramic suppliers keep on selling
lead containing products. Nevertheless, these should be replaced by lead-free
alternatives for environmental and health issues. \r\nThis contribution focuses
on exploring the technological readiness level of lead-free hard piezoceramics
for prestressed ultrasonic transducers. A small series of bolted Langevin transducers
was set up with standard PZT material and three commercial lead-free variants.
Results of the building process from individual ring ceramic characteristics to
transducer load tests are presented. The main finding of this study is that the
lead-free materials technically can compete with the standard PZT for medium-power
applications. Some adaptations in the ultrasonic system must be done: the geometry
must be altered to fit resonance frequency, and higher voltages or thinner ceramics
are needed to achieve the same vibration level at low load. For reaching same
power, the volume of lead-free ceramics must be 1.5 to 3 times larger. As already
promoted in literature, mechanical losses at high vibration levels are smaller
for the lead-free materials. This might help to argument lead-free piezoelectric
    materials in some applications.\r\n\r\nReferences\r\n1.\tDirective 2011/65/EU

text: The number of datasets on the web of data increases continuously. However,
the knowledge contained therein cannot be fully utilized without finding links
between the entities contained in these datasets. Equivalent entities can not
be identified solely by checking the equivalence of IRIs because of the different
origins and naming schemes of different data providers. Yet, such equivalences
can be discovered by computing the similarity of their attributes. In this paper
we propose GLIDE, an approach that links entities from two different datasets
by embedding a joint model of these datasets enriched by additional relations
describing the similarity of literals. The joint model is embedded into a latent
vector space while paying attention to juxtaposing similar literals. We evaluate
our approach against state-of-the-art algorithms using real-world datasets commonly
used in link discovery literature. The results show that GLIDE outperforms all
baselines on 5 of 7 datasets with perfect or near-perfect accuracy. Our approach
achieves its best performance on datasets that feature several literals with similarities.
Our experiments indicate that researchers should not only pay attention to equal
literals in knowledge graph embedding but should also be aware of the distance
    between similar literals.
