In the context of network-based electronics systems, high-level timing requirements have to be carefully mastered and traced throughout the whole development process. In this paper, we outline the management of scheduling-specific timing information by the application of a steer-by-wire design example. We apply the principles of the AUTOSAR-compliant Timing Augmented Description Language (TADL) following the methodology introduced by the TIMMO project[2]. Focus of the example will be the identification of end-to-end timing constraints and their refinement by means of stimuli-response event chains.}},

abstract = {{The synthesis and characterization of ordered mesoporous In2O3 materials by structure replication from hexagonal mesoporous SBA-15 silica and cubic KIT-6 silica is presented. Variation of the synthesis parameters allows for different pore sizes and pore wall thicknesses in the products. The In2O3 samples turn out to be stable up to temperatures between 450 °C and 650 °C; such high thermal stability is necessary for their application as gas sensors. Test measurements show a high sensitivity to methane gas in concentrations relevant for explosion prevention. The sensitivity is shown to be correlated not only with the surface-to-volume ratio, but also with the nanoscopic structural properties of the materials.}},

abstract = {{We present the preparation of a semiconductor gas sensor based on ordered mesoporous In2O3. The In2O3 was synthesized by structure replication procedure from cubic KIT-6 silica. A detailed analysis of the morphology of the mesoporous powders as well as of the prepared sensing layer will be shown. Unique properties arise from the synthesis method of structure replication such as well defined porosity in the mesoporous regime and nanocrystallites with high thermal stability up to 450 °C. These properties are useful for the application in semiconducting gas sensors. Test measurements show sensitivity to methane gas in concentrations relevant for explosion prevention.}},

abstract = {{In this paper, we introduce the Woolcano reconfigurable processor architecture. The architecture is based on the Xilinx Virtex-4 FX FPGA and leverages the Auxiliary Processing Unit (APU) as well as the partial reconfiguration capabilities to provide dynamically reconfigurable custom instructions. We also present a hardware tool flow that automatically translates software functions into custom instructions and a software tool flow that creates binaries using these instructions. While previous research on processors with reconfigurable functional units has been performed predominantly with simulation, the Woolcano architecture allows for exploring dynamic instruction set extension with commercially available hardware. Finally, we present a case study demonstrating a custom floating-point instruction generated with our approach, which achieves a 40x speedup over software-emulated floating-point operations and a 21% speedup over the Xilinx hardware floating-point unit. }},
