Both materials contain the same phosphonato-sulfonate linker molecule, but have clearly different crystal structures, which has a strong effect on proton conductivity. In the Mg-based coordination network, dangling sulfonate groups are part of an extended hydrogen bonding network, facilitating a “proton hopping” with low activation energy; the material shows a moderate proton conductivity. In the Pb-based metal-organic framework, in contrast, no extended hydrogen bonding occurs, as the sulfonate groups coordinate to Pb<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup>, without forming hydrogen bonds; the proton conductivity is much lower in this material.</jats:p>"}]},{"publication":"Journal of Advanced Joining Processes","abstract":[{"lang":"eng","text":"Mechanical joining technologies are increasingly used in multi-material lightweight constructions and offer opportunities to create versatile joining processes due to their low heat input, robustness to metallurgical incompatibilities and various process variants. They can be categorised into technologies which require an auxiliary joining element, or do not require an auxiliary joining element. A typical example for a mechanical joining process with auxiliary joining element is self-piercing riveting. A wide range of processes exist which are not requiring an auxiliary joining element. This allows both point-shaped (e.g., by clinching) and line-shaped (e.g., friction stir welding) joints to be produced. In order to achieve versatile processes, challenges exist in particular in the creation of intervention possibilities in the process and the understanding and handling of materials that are difficult to join, such as fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) or high-strength metals. In addition, predictive capability is required, which in particular requires accurate process simulation. Finally, the processes must be measured non-destructively in order to generate control variables in the process or to investigate the cause-effect relationship. In general, the conditions in a deep-drawing process change due to changing tribology conditions, varying degrees of spring back, or scattering material properties in the sheet blanks, which affects the resulting pre-strain. Mechanical joining processes, especially clinching, are influenced by these process-related pre-strains. The final geometric shape of a clinched joint is affected to a significant level by the prior material deformation when joining with constant process parameters. That leads to a change in the stiffness and force transmission in the clinched joint due to the different geometric dimensions, such as interlock, neck thickness and bottom thickness, which directly affect the load bearing capacity. Here, the influence of the pre-straining in the deep drawing process on the force distribution in clinch points in an automotive assembly is investigated by finite-element models numerically. In further studies, the results are implemented in an optimization tool for designing clinched components. The methodology starts with a pre-straining of metal sheets. This step is followed by 2D rotationally symmetric forming simulations of the joining process. The resulting mesh of each forming simulation is rotated and 3D models are obtained. The clinched joint solid model with pre-strains is used further to determine the joint stiffnesses. With the simulation of the same test set-up with an equivalent point-connector model, the equivalent stiffness for each pre-strain combination is determined. Simulations are performed on a clinched component to assess the influence of pre-strain and sheet thinning on the clinched joint loadings by using the equivalent stiffnesses. The investigations clearly show that for the selected component, the loadings at the clinch points are dependent on the sheet thinning and the stiffnesses due to pre-strain. The magnitude of the influence varies depending on the quantity considered. Therefore, bond experiments with different bond tool grove geometries have been conducted for copper and aluminum wire on direct copper bonded (DCB) substrates to investigate the impact of geometric parameters on bond formation and bond quality. The wire material depending impact of geometry changes on the bond formation and deformation was quantified. Additionally, a bonding parameter design of experiments (DOE) has been conducted for the reference and the most promising groove geometry. Higher shear values were achieved at reduced vertical tool displacement for most bonding parameter combinations, compared to the reference tool. This behavior allows for reducing ultrasonic power to obtain equal shear values; consequently, mechanical stresses in the interface decrease. Based on automated text mining and unsupervised machine learning, we collect, analyze, and interpret the IS discipline’s comprehensive research on platforms—comprising 11,049 papers spanning 44 years of research activity. From a cluster analysis concerning platform concepts’ semantically most similar words, we identify six research streams on platforms, each with their own platform terms. Based on interpreting the identified concepts vis-à-vis the extant research and considering a temporal perspective on the concepts’ application, we present a lexicon of platform concepts, to guide further research on platforms in the IS discipline. In this paper, we consider XAI in the context of online learning in dynamic environments, such as learning from real-time data streams, where models are learned incrementally and continuously adapted over the course of time. More specifically, we motivate the problem of explaining model change, i.e. explaining the difference between models before and after adaptation, instead of the models themselves. In this regard, we provide the first efficient model-agnostic approach to dynamically detecting, quantifying, and explaining significant model changes. Our approach is based on an adaptation of the well-known Permutation Feature Importance (PFI) measure. It includes two hyperparameters that control the sensitivity and directly influence explanation frequency, so that a human user can adjust the method to individual requirements and application needs. "]},{"publication":"Journal für Mathematik-Didaktik","issue":"2","abstract":[{"text":"<jats:title>Zusammenfassung</jats:title><jats:p>Frühpädagogische Fachkräfte in Kindertageseinrichtungen sind durch entsprechende Bestimmungen auf Bundes- und Landesebene angehalten, Kinder auf Grundlage ihres aktuellen Lernstandes zum fachlich tragfähigen Weiterlernen anzuregen und individuelle Entwicklungsverläufe zu dokumentieren. Dafür müssen die Fachkräfte in der Lage sein, den Lernstand der Kinder adäquat einzuschätzen. Die hier berichtete Studie analysiert die Genauigkeit von Einschätzungen frühpädagogischer Fachkräfte (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 49) von Leistungen vier- bis sechsjähriger Kinder (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 160) in 17 Items im Bereich Mengen und Zahlen. Zur Aufklärung von Varianz in der Einschätzungsgenauigkeit wurden das Geschlecht, der sozioökonomische Status und die mathematische Leistung der Kinder im Bereich Mengen und Zahlen sowie das mathematikdidaktische Wissen der Fachkräfte als mögliche Merkmale erhoben. Es zeigte sich im Schnitt eine mäßige Einschätzungsgenauigkeit mit einer leichten Tendenz zur Überschätzung der Leistungen. Als einziges einflussnehmendes Merkmal auf die Einschätzungsgenauigkeit stellte sich in dieser Untersuchung die Leistung der Kinder im Bereich Mengen und Zahlen heraus: Die Einschätzung der frühpädagogischen Fachkräfte war genauer, wenn die Kinder bessere mathematische Fähigkeiten zeigten. Frühe mathematische Kompetenzen entwickeln sich u.a. in der Auseinandersetzung mit Fragestellungen, die sich im Alltag ergeben. Dabei begleiten Eltern als primäre Bezugspersonen den Großteil der frühen mathematischen Entwicklung. Bedeutend ist dabei die Fähigkeit von Eltern, mathematische Kompetenzen ihrer Kinder einschätzen zu können. Auf dieser Basis können sie mit ihren Kindern adäquat interagieren und mathematische Lerngelegenheiten ermöglichen. Ziel dieser Studie ist es, zu untersuchen, wie genau Eltern die frühen mathematischen Kompetenzen ihrer Kinder einschätzen und wovon die Genauigkeit der Einschätzung abhängt. Dazu wurden Daten von 131 Kindern im Alter von 4 bis 6 Jahren und ihren Eltern erhoben und analysiert. Es zeigte sich eine mittlere bis gute Genauigkeit in der elterlichen Einschätzung. Neben der tatsächlichen Leistung des Kindes nahmen der sozioökonomische Status (SES) der Familie und das Geschlecht des Kindes Einfluss auf die elterliche Einschätzungsgenauigkeit.
