text: The increasing complexity of technical systems requires early, structured
verification and validation (V&V). Existing metadata models only map parts of
the engineering process and do not enable a continuous chain of effects from requirements
to test results. The aim of this publication is to develop a holistic V&V metadata
model for the consistent, transparent and machine-processable description and
linking of relevant engineering artifacts. In a five-stage research approach,
essential model components are derived from literature and are integrated into
a holistic model. Initial applications as part of a European research project
show the potential of the model for a well-founded effect chain analysis and decision-supporting
V&V processes.

text: Reputation systems to rate companies’ performances remain largely unexplored
inresearch and are scarcely used in business-to-business (B2B) practice. Such
systemsare essential for businesses seeking trustworthy partners, as they help
reduce infor-mation asymmetry, lower buyers’ transaction risks, and allow high-quality
serviceproviders to justify premium pricing. Unlike traditional review-based systems
in thebusiness-to-consumer (B2C) context, we propose a B2B reputation mechanism
inwhich buyers commit to a rating payment before a transaction. Once the buyer
final-izes the rating, this payment is executed and recorded on a blockchain as
an immu-table, secure ledger. Our system mimics natural trust-building mechanisms
with rat-ings that are (1) monetary-based, (2) stake-based, (3) non-aggregated,
(4) involvecounter-ratings, (5) selectively sellable, (6) individually comparable,
(7) stored ona blockchain, (8) and monitored by a third instance. This system
provides a novelapproach to fostering trust in B2B transactions by reducing information
asymme-try and transaction risk. We illustrate the mechanism’s application in
the consultingsector. Our analysis has identified 23 institutional trust and distrust
dimensions thatpromote establishing institutional trust through the proposed mechanism.
Qualita-tive interviews suggest that, while complex and challenging to apply,
this mecha-nism can foster trust in B2B transactions. Given the low maturity in
the applicationdomain—rating professional business services with business reputation
systems—and solution domain—using monetary stakes for ratings, this system stands
as apotential invention.

text: This paper examines the impact of a rotationally superimposed punch stroke
on the binding mechanisms of clinched joints of aluminum sheets. As part of the
development of a method for ensuring the versatility of clinching, an additional
rotational movement of the punch was introduced as a control variable to influence
friction in the mechanical joining process. The effect of rotational superimposition
on the force-displacement curve of the clinching processes was investigated using
four test variants with different kinematics. The primary objective was to evaluate
the binding mechanisms that maintain the integrity of the clinched joint. To evaluate
the force closure of the resulting joint, two testing methods were employed throughout
the course of the research, non-destructive resistance measurement using four-wire
sensing method and destructive torsion testing. A crucial factor influencing the
efficacy of the process is surface cleanliness, as contaminants between joining
partners can impede the effectiveness of the clinched joint. Therefore, all specimens
were meticulously cleaned prior to experimentation. This method exhibits promising
potential in creating clinched joints that align with the demands of flexible
manufacturing environments.

text: "Despite the fundamental role the Quantum Satisfiability (QSAT) problem has\r\nplayed
in quantum complexity theory, a central question remains open: At which\r\nlocal
dimension does the complexity of QSAT transition from \"easy\" to \"hard\"?\r\nHere,
we study QSAT with each constraint acting on a $k$-dimensional and\r\n$l$-dimensional
qudit pair, denoted $(k,l)$-QSAT. Our first main result shows\r\nthat, surprisingly,
QSAT on qubits can remain $\\mathsf{QMA}_1$-hard, in that\r\n$(2,5)$-QSAT is $\\mathsf{QMA}_1$-complete.
In contrast, $2$-SAT on qubits is\r\nwell-known to be poly-time solvable [Bravyi,
2006]. Our second main result\r\nproves that $(3,d)$-QSAT on the 1D line with
$d\\in O(1)$ is also\r\n$\\mathsf{QMA}_1$-hard. Finally, we initiate the study
of 1D $(2,d)$-QSAT by\r\ngiving a frustration-free 1D Hamiltonian with a unique,
entangled ground state.\r\n Our first result uses a direct embedding, combining
a novel clock\r\nconstruction with the 2D circuit-to-Hamiltonian construction
of [Gosset, Nagaj,\r\n2013]. Of note is a new simplified and analytic proof for
the latter (as\r\nopposed to a partially numeric proof in [GN13]). This exploits
Unitary Labelled\r\nGraphs [Bausch, Cubitt, Ozols, 2017] together with a new \"Nullspace
Connection\r\nLemma\", allowing us to break low energy analyses into small patches
of\r\nprojectors, and to improve the soundness analysis of [GN13] from\r\n$\\Omega(1/T^6)$
to $\\Omega(1/T^2)$, for $T$ the number of gates. Our second\r\nresult goes via
black-box reduction: Given an arbitrary 1D Hamiltonian $H$ on\r\n$d'$-dimensional
qudits, we show how to embed it into an effective null-space\r\nof a 1D $(3,d)$-QSAT
instance, for $d\\in O(1)$. Our approach may be viewed as a\r\nweaker notion of
\"simulation\" (\\`a la [Bravyi, Hastings 2017], [Cubitt,\r\nMontanaro, Piddock

materialschonenden Verarbeitung. Beide Bestrebungen erfordern spezielle Schneckenkonzepte.
Hierunter fallenWave- Schnecken, welche in beiden Bereichen ein vorteilhaftes
Prozessverhalten aufzeigen sollen.

text: "The extrusion process is the dominant processing method for thermoplastics
in terms of quantity. For this reason, there are strong efforts in this area towards
greater economic efficiency, which can be achieved, for example, through higher
mass throughput with the same machine size, or, with regard to a circular economy,
towards material-preserving processing. Both endeavours require special screw
concepts. These include wave screws, which should demonstrate advantageous process
behaviour in both areas. However, the design of wave screws requires a better
understanding of the geometry-dependent process behaviour in extrusion. \r\nTwo
topics are addressed in the dissertation. The first topic is the derivation of
a method to characterise the degradation behaviour of thermoplastics and the use
of the characterisation as a predictive model. The second topic deals with the
design of wave screws based on numerical simulations including validation using
seven energy transfer screws in comparison to three conventional screws. Among
other things, the material degradation, the thermal and the material homogeneity
are considered in order to create a comprehensive picture of the process behaviour
of the screws. The presented investigations ultimately serve to confirm the advantageous
process behaviour of wave screws."

prospective, observational, multicenter study, we recruited German COVID elite-athletes
(cEAs, n = 444) and COVID non-elite athletes (cNEAs,
n = 481) who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR
(polymerase chain reaction test). Athletes from the federal squad with no evidence
of SARS-CoV-2 infection served as healthy controls (EAcon, n = 501).
Questionnaires were used to assess load and duration of infectious symptoms, other
complaints, exercise tolerance, and duration of training interruption at baseline
and at follow-up 6 months after baseline. Diagnostic tests conducted at baseline
included resting and exercise electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiography, spirometry,
and blood analyses.
\r\n
\r\n
Results
\r\n
\
Most acute and infection-related symptoms and other complaints
were more prevalent in cNEA than in cEAs. Compared to cEAs, EAcon had a low symptom
load. In cNEAs, female athletes had a higher prevalence of complaints such as
palpitations, dizziness, chest pain, myalgia, sleeping disturbances, mood swings,
and concentration problems compared to male athletes (p < 0.05).
Until follow-up, leading symptoms were drop in performance, concentration problems,
and dyspnea on exertion. Female athletes had significantly higher prevalence for
symptoms until follow-up compared to male. Pathological findings in ECG, echocardiography,
and spirometry, attributed to SARS-CoV-2 infection, were rare in infected athletes.
Most athletes reported a training interruption between 2 and 4 weeks (cNEAs: 52.9%,
cEAs: 52.4%), while more cNEAs (27.1%) compared to cEAs (5.1%) had a training
interruption lasting more than 4 weeks (p < 0.001).
At follow-up, 13.8% of cNEAs and 9.9% of cEAs (p = 0.24)
reported their current exercise tolerance to be under 70% compared to pre-infection
state. A persistent loss of exercise tolerance at follow-up was associated with
persistent complaints at baseline, female sex, a longer break in training, and
age > 38 years. Periodical dichotomization of the data set showed a higher
prevalence of infectious symptoms such as cough, sore throat, and coryza in the
second phase of the pandemic, while a number of neuropsychiatric symptoms as well
as dyspnea on exertion were less frequent in this period.
\r\n
\r\n
\
Conclusions
\r\n
Compared
to recreational athletes, elite athletes seem to be at lower risk of being or
remaining symptomatic after SARS-CoV-2 infection. It remains to be determined
whether persistent complaints after SARS-CoV-2 infection without evidence of accompanying
organ damage may have a negative impact on further health and career in athletes.
Identifying risk factors for an extended recovery period such as female sex and
ongoing neuropsychological symptoms could help to identify athletes, who may require
a more cautious approach to rebuilding their training regimen.
\r\n
\r\n

Umso dringlicher wird also
Phänomens „soziale Medien“ in dessen Zeitkontext einzuordnen.'

text: "For 0 ≤ t ≤ r let m(t, r) be the maximum number s such that every t-edge-connected
r-graph has s pairwise disjoint perfect matchings. There are only a few values
of m(t, r) known, for instance m(3, 3) = m(4, r) = 1, and m(t, r) ≤ r − 2 for
all t \x03 = 5,\r\nand m(t, r) ≤ r − 3 if r is even. We prove that m(2l, r) ≤
3l − 6 for every l ≥ 3 and r ≥ 2l."
