    dargestellt.

text: In the course of digitalization, machine learning and data-driven methods
are currently receiving a great deal of attention in science and industry. However,
there is a lack of basic knowledge and understanding of how data-driven methods
in computer science can be meaningfully combined with proven model-based engineering
methods such as model-based design in mechatronics and control engineering methods
to obtain hybrid models. These engineering methods are based on physical models,
which represent a particularly condensed and interpretable representation of knowledge
and, in particular, describe causal relationships. For specific control engineering
applications, there is extensive prior knowledge in the form of known structures
and information, such as (partial) models or parameter sets, which should also
be used when applying methods such as machine learning. Such a meaningful systematic
connection has not yet been sufficiently investigated scientifically, especially
with regard to industrial applications, and is very promising. This contribution
presents the results of the DART junior research group – Data-driven methods in
control engineering. The main objective was to investigate the synergistic combination
of model- and data-driven methods for control engineering tasks, and all important
research results as well as the basic principles of machine learning used are
    presented in this publication.

text: Reputation systems to rate companies’ performances remain largely unexplored
inresearch and are scarcely used in business-to-business (B2B) practice. Such
systemsare essential for businesses seeking trustworthy partners, as they help
reduce infor-mation asymmetry, lower buyers’ transaction risks, and allow high-quality
serviceproviders to justify premium pricing. Unlike traditional review-based systems
in thebusiness-to-consumer (B2C) context, we propose a B2B reputation mechanism
inwhich buyers commit to a rating payment before a transaction. Once the buyer
final-izes the rating, this payment is executed and recorded on a blockchain as
an immu-table, secure ledger. Our system mimics natural trust-building mechanisms
    with rat-ings that are (1) monetary-based, (2) stake-based, (3) non-aggregated,
    (4) involvecounter-ratings, (5) selectively sellable, (6) individually comparable,
    (7) stored ona blockchain, (8) and monitored by a third instance. This system
provides a novelapproach to fostering trust in B2B transactions by reducing information
asymme-try and transaction risk. We illustrate the mechanism’s application in
the consultingsector. Our analysis has identified 23 institutional trust and distrust
dimensions thatpromote establishing institutional trust through the proposed mechanism.
Qualita-tive interviews suggest that, while complex and challenging to apply,
this mecha-nism can foster trust in B2B transactions. Given the low maturity in
the applicationdomain—rating professional business services with business reputation
systems—and solution domain—using monetary stakes for ratings, this system stands
    as apotential invention.

text: "Nowadays ultrasound technology is established in various fields of application
like industrial production or medical technology. Besides high power ultrasound
applications like ultrasonic cleaning and ultrasonic welding, which are often
not strongly restricted regarding their weight, costs, and construction space,
there are many applications in the low to medium power range like handheld surgical
instruments, medical inhalers, or ultrasonic cutters. For the latter there is
often a strong demand for low weight and construction space and low costs to be
competitive in mass production. Another challenge that arises from the RoHS-directive
[1] is, that new ultrasonic devices should avoid the use of lead-containing PZT-materials.
Against this background there is a demand for lead-free, small and lightweight
and cost-effective ultrasonic transducers.\r\nIn many of the above-mentioned applications,
    pre-stressed Bolted-Langevine-Transducers (BLT) based on lead-containing PZT-materials
are established to generate ultrasonic vibrations. These are quite advantageous
in many ways and can be built tailored to each application and even for high power
of thousands of watts. But due to the required steps during their manufacturing
process (machining parts, assembly, pre-stressing, frequency tuning, …), these
transducers remain expensive. Furthermore, due to the operation in resonance,
the construction space of these transducers is linked to their wavelength and
cannot be reduced remarkably.\r\nFor these reasons, our aim is to present an innovative
lead-free ultrasonic transducer for low to medium power applications, that is
based on bending vibrations instead of longitudinal vibrations. This design enables
to build very small transducers. Furthermore, due to their simple construction,
these transducers can be built at low manufacturing costs and are well suited
for industrial mass production. The use of lead-free piezoelectric materials makes
this transducer design ready for future applications.\r\nIn our contribution we
will present the model-based design of a lead-free 30 kHz bending transducer for
applications up to 10 W. Furthermore, the comprehensive experimental analysis
of this transducer-prototype in applications like mist generation or ultrasonic
drilling will be presented. The results will be compared to a PZT-based bending
transducer and a classical BLT to show the potential and limits of these kind
    of transducers and lead-free materials.\r\n"

text: Power ultrasonic actuators are used in various industrial, automotive and
medical applications. Examples are ultrasonic welding of plastics or metal, surgery
processes like cutting of tissue or bone, and the excitation of cavitation in
liquids for ultrasonic cleaning. From a physical point of view, many of these
processes are characterised by non-constant damping conditions for the ultrasonic
actuators, since the systems need to be driven in unloaded as well as in high-loaded
states. To get high power output, the piezoelectric actuators are usually driven
in or near resonance at precisely defined vibration amplitudes. This is a quite
complicated task especially if cost or mass optimized PZT transducers are used
or if lead-free piezoelectric ceramics are applied to replace lead-containing
materials. In particular the sudden change between loading states is very challenging
for electronic excitation and control. The present contribution gives insight
into typical problems that may arise in context with sudden load-changes during
operation, e.g. uncontrolled jumps in voltage and velocity amplitudes. Measurements
on ultrasonic power actuators being abruptly immersed into water at high amplitude
are discussed for illustration. Observations during spontaneous load-changes are
explained, and it is shown that several problems may be defused by driving the
actuators in antiresonance or using a particular driving point in-between resonance
and antiresonance (“falling edge control”). The different control strategies are
investigated always using just one single hardware.

  text: '
Abstract. This study presents intrinsic lubrication as a novel approach
to deep drawing processes, using additively manufactured, lubricant-permeable
tools to minimize lubricant consumption and improve efficiency. Two systems were
evaluated: a passive system based on capillary action and gravity, and an active
system using pumped delivery for precise, on-demand application. Experimental
tests were conducted on micro-bores (0.2-0.5 mm) to demonstrate their suitability
for lubricant transport. Smaller bores have excellent capillary action but are
prone to clogging, while larger bores offer higher permeability. The passive system
is resource-efficient but requires adjustments to counteract gravitational asymmetry.
The active system provides consistent lubricant distribution but is more complex.
These findings provide a basis for optimizing intrinsic lubrication systems.
'

text: "This paper deals with the implementation and results of the application of
a multi-stage traffic light control system which includes a simulation-based traffic
estimation and model predictive control.\r\nThe traffic light control system incorporates
a fuzzy system for traffic light phase preselection, followed by a model predictive
control to optimise phase combinations and switching times. Predefined phases
are selected without restrictions in the order according to a multi-objective
optimisation to adapt to the traffic as freely as possible. Initially, the system
is tested in simulations and compared with existing methods and analysed afterwards
for its effectiveness in a prototype commissioning in field tests. Results indicate
high potentials for reducing emissions and waiting times, highlighting the system's
value. However, further refinement is necessary for standard implementation. This
comprehensive approach demonstrates advancements in traffic management technology,
showcasing the potential for enhancing urban mobility and reducing environmental
    impact."

text: "One of the most important strategies for reducing CO2 emissions in the mobility
sector is lightweight construction. In particular, the car body offers several
opportunities for weight reduction. Multi-material designs are increasingly being
applied to select the most suitable material for the respective load and ultimately
achieve synergy effects. For example, aluminium castings are used at the nodes
of a spaceframe body. Subsequently, these are joined with profiles to form the
bodyshell. To join different materials mechanical joining techniques, such as
semi-tubular self-piercing riveting, are deployed. According to the current state
of the art, cracks occur in the aluminium castings during the mechanical joining
process as a result of the high degree of deformation. Although the aluminium
casting alloys of the AlSi-system exhibit low ductility, these alloys reveal excellent
castability. In particular, the ability to cast thin structural parts is enabled
by the low liquidus point of the near eutectic aluminium casting alloys.\r\nThis
study addresses the mechanical joining properties of the near eutectic aluminium
casting alloy AlSi12, depending on different microstructures. These are achieved
by annealing processes and modifying agents. Through an adapted heat treatment,
the previously lamellar morphology can be transformed into a globular morphology,
which leads to increased ductility and prevents the formation of cracks during
the self-piercing riveting (SPR). The joinability is investigated using different
die geometries, whereas the joint formation is analysed regarding crack initiation.
To evaluate the increased ductility, microstructural and mechanical tests are
performed and finally, a microstructure-joinability correlation is established."

text: The constantly increasing demand for climate protection and resource conservation
requires innovative and versatile joining processes that improve adaptability
to the joining task and robustness to enable flexible manufacturing on a production
line. Therefore, the versatile SPR (V-SPR) and tumbling SPR (T-SPR) were developed.
Using the example of a mixed material combination HCT590X+Z (t0 = 1.0 mm) / EN
AW-6014 T4 (t0 = 2.0 mm), these processes were examined and compared with regard
to the binding mechanisms form closure and force closure using micrographs, non-destructive
resistance measurements and destructive torsion tests. For this purpose, a new
sample geometry was defined, and the methods were adapted to the SPR process variants.

text: The accurate prediction of crack initiation and propagation is essential for
assessing the structural integrity of mechanically joined components and other
complex assemblies. To overcome the limitations of existing finite element tools,
a modular Python framework has been developed to automate three-dimensional crack
growth simulations. The program combines geometric reconstruction, adaptive remeshing,
and the numerical evaluation of fracture mechanics parameters within a single,
fully automated workflow. The framework builds on open-source components and remains
solver-independent, enabling straightforward integration with commercial or research
finite element codes. A dedicated sequence of modules performs all required steps,
from mesh separation and crack insertion to local submodeling, stress and displacement
mapping, and iterative crack-front update, without manual interaction. The methodology
was verified using a mini-compact tension (Mini-CT) specimen as a benchmark case.
The numerical results demonstrate the accurate reproduction of stress intensity
factors and energy release rates while achieving high computational efficiency
through localized refinement. The developed approach provides a robust basis for
crack growth simulations of geometrically complex or residual stress-affected
structures. Its high degree of automation and flexibility makes it particularly
suited for analyzing cracks in clinched and riveted joints, supporting the predictive
design and durability assessment of joined lightweight structures.

  text:
Abstract. In the development of advanced lightweight automotive solutions,
self-piercing riveting (SPR) offers the possibility of joining multi-material
structures to fulfil a wide variety of requirements. With regard to the entire
process chain, production-related pre-deformations of the parts to be joined can
influence the geometric shape and load capacity of SPR joints. Various studies
have investigated the influence of pre-stretched sheet materials, in the sense
of pre-drawing processes, on the formation of SPR joints. The impact of pre-stretching
sheet metals on the formation of their geometrical characteristics and the shear-tensile
strength of SPR processes was observed [1]. Pre-rolled semi-finished products
are also joined together in mixed material automotive structures, e.g. tailor
rolled blanks. This work aims to investigate the influence of pre-rolled joining
parts on the geometric formation and load-carrying capacity of SPR joints. For
this purpose, sheets of metal are cold-formed using a rolling process to induce
a defined strain-hardening state in the material and then joined in various combinations.
As the degree of deformation increases, the rolling of samples can lead to minimal
accumulation of damage in the sheet materials, which can influence the joint behaviour.
The rolling process, as well as the subsequent joining process, are also investigated
by FEM. The influence of pre-rolled semi-finished products on the strength of
    the SPR joints is investigated.

  text:
Abstract. Saving emissions and a circular economy are key aspects
of sustainable production and compliance global climate change targets. Friction-induced
solid-state recycling of aluminum scrap to production endless semi-finished products.
Scrap is fed into a continuously rotating wheel. This requires less energy compared
to heat-based recycling processes. Different sizes, shapes and surfaces of chips
can be used as starting material in the process. The influence of this has been
shown in past publications. A native oxide layer is a fixed component of aluminum
surface. This layer is broken up during the forming process, allowing the aluminum
to bond. In addition to the geometry, the surface finishes and the thickness of
the oxide layer are therefore also important input variables in friction-induced
solid-state recycling. The oxide layers on the chips were determined for the investigation.
In addition, different layer thicknesses were produced to survey their influence.
The resulting semi-finished products were evaluated on the basis of their tensile
strength and microstructure. The main result of the investigations is the fact
that semi-finished products made from chips with thicker oxide layers tend to
be more brittle. In addition, thick oxide layers cause microstructural and surface
    defects.

    Fachkulturen eingehen.'

the technique of Fourier–Mukai transforms on abelian varieties. The constructed
bundle turns out to be simple and semi-homogeneous and it can be equipped with
two different (and natural) hermitian metrics: the one coming from the center-of-mass
dynamics and the one coming from the Hilbert space of the underlying many-body
system. We prove that the canonical Bott–Chern connection of the first hermitian
metric is always projectively flat and give sufficient conditions for this property
    for the second hermitian metric.
"

materialschonenden Verarbeitung. Beide Bestrebungen erfordern spezielle Schneckenkonzepte.
Hierunter fallenWave- Schnecken, welche in beiden Bereichen ein vorteilhaftes
Prozessverhalten aufzeigen sollen.

text: "The extrusion process is the dominant processing method for thermoplastics
in terms of quantity. For this reason, there are strong efforts in this area towards
greater economic efficiency, which can be achieved, for example, through higher
mass throughput with the same machine size, or, with regard to a circular economy,
towards material-preserving processing. Both endeavours require special screw
concepts. These include wave screws, which should demonstrate advantageous process
behaviour in both areas. However, the design of wave screws requires a better
understanding of the geometry-dependent process behaviour in extrusion. \r\nTwo
topics are addressed in the dissertation. The first topic is the derivation of
a method to characterise the degradation behaviour of thermoplastics and the use
of the characterisation as a predictive model. The second topic deals with the
design of wave screws based on numerical simulations including validation using
seven energy transfer screws in comparison to three conventional screws. Among
other things, the material degradation, the thermal and the material homogeneity
are considered in order to create a comprehensive picture of the process behaviour
of the screws. The presented investigations ultimately serve to confirm the advantageous
    process behaviour of wave screws."
