Sie verband Leibniz Metaphysik mit der Physik von Newton und gelangte zu erstaunlichen Ergebnissen, die die Physik auf den Weg zu Einsteins Energieformel führte. Ihre Werke wurden sofort ins Deutsche übersetzt, Kant nimmt in seiner ersten Dissertation von 1747 auf sie Bezug. Die Sammlung stellt Texte vor, die den Einfluss der deutschen Aufklärung auf Du Châtelets und Du Châtelets Einfluss auf die deutsche Philosophie diskutieren. Die großen Namen der Epoche stehen hier zur Debatte, Leibniz, Wolff, Boskovic, Euler, Friedrich II, Voltaire, La Mettrie und viele weitere Größen der Aufklärung werden in ihrem Zusammenhang mit Du Châtelet vorgestellt. Contrary to common perception of local optima, according to which they are hindering the progress of optimization algorithms, it will be shown that local efficient sets in a multi-objective setting can assist optimizers in finding global efficient sets. We use sophisticated visualization techniques, which rely on gradient field heatmaps, to highlight those insights into landscape characteristics. It can convert between speakers which are not in thetraining set by employing the previously proposed concept of afactorized hierarchical variational autoencoder. Here, linguisticand speaker induced variations are separated upon the notionthat content induced variations change at a much shorter timescale, i.e., at the segment level, than speaker induced variations,which vary at the longer utterance level. In this contribution wepropose to employ convolutional instead of recurrent networklayers  in  the  encoder  and  decoder  blocks,  which  is  shown  toachieve better phone recognition accuracy on the latent segmentvariables at frame-level due to their better temporal resolution.For voice conversion the mean of the utterance variables is re-placed with the respective estimated mean of the target speaker.The resulting log-mel spectra of the decoder output are used aslocal conditions of a WaveNet which is utilized for synthesis ofthe speech waveforms. We propose a model consisting of a convolutional front end using log-mel-energies as input features, a recurrent neural network sequence encoder and a fully connected classifier network outputting an activity probability for each of the 80 considered event classes. Due to the recurrent neural network, which encodes a whole sequence into a single vector, our model is able to process sequences of varying lengths. The model is trained with only little manually labeled training data and a larger amount of automatically labeled web data, which hence suffers from label noise. To efficiently train the model with the provided data we use various data augmentation to prevent overfitting and improve generalization. Our best submitted system achieves a label-weighted label-ranking average precision (lwlrap) of 75.5% on the private test set which is an absolute improvement of 21.7% over the baseline. This system scored the second place in the teams ranking of the DCASE 2019 Challenge Task 2 and the fifth place in the Kaggle competition “Freesound Audio Tagging 2019” with more than 400 participants. Assuming that the ASN is permanently recording, the vast majority of recordings is silence. Therefore, we propose to employ a computationally efficient two-stage sound recognition system, consisting of an initial sound activity detection (SAD) and a subsequent sound event classification (SEC), which is only activated once sound activity has been detected. We show how a low-latency activity detector with high temporal resolution can be trained from weak labels with low temporal resolution. It gets even worse, if the underlying functions are unknown, i.e., so-called black-box problems, and function evaluations are considered to be expensive. In case of continuous single-objective optimization problems, exploratory landscape analysis (ELA), a sophisticated and effective approach for characterizing the landscapes of such problems by means of numerical values before actually performing the optimization task itself, is advantageous. Unfortunately, until now it has been quite complicated to compute multiple ELA features simultaneously, as the corresponding code has been—if at all—spread across multiple platforms or at least across several packages within these platforms. This article presents a broad summary of existing ELA approaches and introduces flacco, an R-package for feature-based landscape analysis of continuous and constrained optimization problems. Although its functions neither solve the optimization problem itself nor the related algorithm selection problem (ASP), it offers easy access to an essential ingredient of the ASP by providing a wide collection of ELA features on a single platform—even within a single package. In addition, flacco provides multiple visualization techniques, which enhance the understanding of some of these numerical features, and thereby make certain landscape properties more comprehensible. On top of that, we will introduce the package’s built-in, as well as web-hosted and hence platform-independent, graphical user interface (GUI). Not only with regards to operation and maintenance tasks such as gearbox and generator checks but moreover due to the fact that energy providers have to sell the right amount of their converted energy at the European energy markets, the knowledge of the wind and hence electrical power of the next day is of key importance. Selling more energy as has been offered is penalized as well as offering less energy as contractually promised. In addition to that the price per offered kWh decreases in case of a surplus of energy. Achieving a forecast there are various methods in computer science: fuzzy logic, linear prediction or neural networks. This paper presents current results of wind speed forecasts using recurrent neural networks (RNN) and the gradient descent method plus a backpropagation learning algorithm. Data used has been extracted from NASA's Modern Era-Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications (MERRA) which is calculated by a GEOS-5 Earth System Modeling and Data Assimilation system. The presented results show that wind speed data can be forecasted using historical data for training the RNN. Insbesondere die Verwendung von Bandbreitenfeedback hat sich bei anderen Bewegungsaufgaben im Hinblick auf die Ausführungspräzision, -konstanz und -automatizität als vorteilhaft erwiesen. In einer Studie mit 31 jungen gesunden Erwachsenen untersuchten wir diese Parameter im Rahmen eines Feedbacktrainings während einer Teilbelastungsaufgabe und verglichen dabei eine Bandbreitenmethode mit einem 100 %-Feedback und einer Kontrollbedingung.</jats:p><jats:p>Die in anderen Studien aufgezeigten Vorteile des Bandbreitenfeedbacks konnten in diesem Kontext für keinen der 3 Zielparameter gezeigt werden. Darüber hinaus ergeben sich aus den Daten 2 wichtige Hinweise für die rehabilitative Praxis: Zum einen konnten mit nur wenigen feedbackgestützten Übungsversuchen deutliche und zudem relativ behaltensstabile Reduktionen der Teilbelastung erreicht werden, zum anderen zeigte sich, dass das Teilbelastungsgehen einen hohen kognitiven Aufwand erfordert, der sich auch nach 2 umfangreichen Übungssitzungen nicht verringert und dazu führt, dass die Einhaltung der Teilbelastung bei Aufmerksamkeitsablenkung im Alltag beeinträchtigt sein könnte.</jats:p>","lang":"eng"}],"type":"journal_article","publication":"B&amp;G Bewegungstherapie und Gesundheitssport"},{"place":"Münster","citation":{"chicago":"Diederich, Julia. “Vorstellungen von Grundschulkindern zur Zeitzeugenbefragung – eine empirische Untersuchung zu Kompetenzen historischen Denkens.” In <i>Fokus Grundschule.
