text: Im Laufe ihrer wissenschaftlichen Karriere hat Christina Gansel Forschungsbeiträge
zu verschiedenen linguistischen Arbeitsfeldern veröffentlicht; von ihren Anfängen
in der Grammatikforschung, über Forschungen im Kontext der Semantik von Verben,
bis hin zu umfassenden Arbeiten im Bereich der Textlinguistik. So vielfältig und
heterogen diese Arbeitsbereiche auf den ersten Blick wirken, lässt sich zu allen
der Systembegriff als Orientierungspunkt produktiv in Beziehung setzen. An die
Forschungsthemen Christina Gansels wird im Rahmen dieser Festschrift angeschlossen,
wobei der Text-Sprache-System-Zusammenhang als einende Klammer dient.

text: "To achieve optimum bond results at ultrasonic bonding thick copper wire on
sensitive components is quite challenging.\r\nBearing in mind that high normal
force and ultrasonic power are needed for bond quality but as well increase stress
and finally failure risk of the substrate, methods should be found to achieve
high bond quality even at lower bond parameters. Therefore, bond experiments with
different bond tool grove geometries have been conducted for copper and aluminum
wire on direct copper bonded (DCB) substrates to investigate the impact of geometric
parameters on bond formation and bond quality. The wire material depending impact
of geometry changes on the bond formation and deformation was quantified. Additionally,
a bonding parameter design of experiments (DOE) has been conducted for the reference
and the most promising groove geometry. Higher shear values were achieved at reduced
vertical tool displacement for most bonding parameter combinations, compared to
the reference tool. This behavior allows for reducing ultrasonic power to obtain
equal shear values; consequently, mechanical stresses in the interface decrease.
This could potentially reduce the risk of chip damage and thus yield loss."

text: "This collection of essays presents new work on women’s contribution to philosophy
between the Renaissance and the mid-eighteenth century. They bring a new perspective
to the history of philosophy, by highlighting women’s contributions to philosophy
and testifying to the rich history of women’s thought in this period.\r\n\r\nBy
showing that women were active in many branches of philosophy (metaphysics, science,
political philosophy cosmology, ontology, epistemology) the book testifies to
the rich history of women’s thought across Europe in this period. The scope of
the collection is international, both in terms of the philosophers represented
and the contributors themselves from Britain and North America, but also from
continental Europe and from as far afield as Australia and Brazil. The philosophers
discussed here include both figures who have recently come to be better known
(Elisabeth of Bohemia, Anne Conway, Mary Astell, Catharine Trotter Cockburn, Emilie
du Châtelet), and less familiar figures (Moderata Fonte, Lucrezia Marinella Arcangela
Tarabotti, Tullia d’Aragona, Madame Deshoulières, Madame de Sablé, Angélique de
Saint-Jean Arnauld d’Andilly, Olivia Sabuco, Susanna Newcome).\r\n\r\nThe chapters

text: 'L’objectif de cette étude est d’analyser, à partir de la conception des vices,
de l’ignorance et de la curiosité, les pensées de Montaigne et de Descartes, afin
de découvrir s’il y a filiation, héritage ou même réception de la conception montaignienne
dans celle cartésienne. Chez Descartes, l’ignorance produit le vice et la science
crée la vertu, mais, pour Montaigne, cette distinction n’est pas si simple : la
vertu et le vice se conçoivent à l’intérieur même de l’action et de la vie de
l’homme.'

ignorance and curiosity, the thoughts of Montaigne and Descartes, in order to
discover whether there is filiation, inheritance or even reception from Montaigne’s
conception to the Cartesian one. In Descartes, ignorance produces vice and science
creates virtue, but, for Montaigne, this distinction is not so simple: virtue
and vice are conceived within the very interior of action and the human life.'

text: The Enlightenment is well known for its critical analysis of the Bible. Though
the Renaissance sources have been acknowledged as an inspiration of this movement,
the Querelle des Femmes and its critique of the Bible has never been considered
as a possible catalyst for the enlightened philosophical discourse. For centuries
women have fought against interpretations of the Bible.This paper argues that
the Querelle des Femmes criticized the Bible not only because of its patriarchal
content but also criticized philosophical thinking that, for supporting the views
from the Bible and its misogynist stance, misusing the instruments of rational
philosophy. Arguments from 1400-1750, from Nogarola to Du Châtelet proof women
philosophers’ fight in favour of a critique of the bible from a rational point
of view, reflecting also on the status of what it meant, to argue rationally.

quality, shape accuracy and dimensional stability. The working-media-based forming
processes characterize the sheet-metal forming process, where the sheet metal
blank is formed during the forming process by means of a (quasi-)static or dynamic
working media pressure into a contouring forming tool. Although the WMBF offers
improved utilization of the formability of the used materials compared to conventional
sheet metal forming processes, there are limits in the production of complex deeper
or sharp edged components with (quasi-)static and dynamic WMBF processes, which
can not be overcome by using these methods alone. In order to overcome this, multi-level
WMBF process sequences for components with spherical and stepped geometries are
developed in this work. Here the developed strategies combine the advantages of
(quasi-)static and dynamic WMBF processes. Furthermore, based on analytical, experimental
and numerical investigations, innovative process management strategies were derived,
which completely compensate the local wall thickness changes, make better use
of existing material resources and thus enable the safe production of mentioned
geometries.

text: 'In diesem Band werden neueste Forschungen zur Physikerin, Mathematikerin
und Philosophin Emilie Du Châtelet (1706-1749) vorgestellt. Emilie Du Châtelet
genoss in der deutschen Aufklärung eine hohe Reputation. Sie verband Leibniz Metaphysik
mit der Physik von Newton und gelangte zu erstaunlichen Ergebnissen, die die Physik
auf den Weg zu Einsteins Energieformel führte. Ihre Werke wurden sofort ins Deutsche
übersetzt, Kant nimmt in seiner ersten Dissertation von 1747 auf sie Bezug. Die
Sammlung stellt Texte vor, die den Einfluss der deutschen Aufklärung auf Du Châtelets
und Du Châtelets Einfluss auf die deutsche Philosophie diskutieren. Die großen
Namen der Epoche stehen hier zur Debatte, Leibniz, Wolff, Boskovic, Euler, Friedrich
II, Voltaire, La Mettrie und viele weitere Größen der Aufklärung werden in ihrem
Zusammenhang mit Du Châtelet vorgestellt. '

text: "In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden Wege untersucht, um die stellare Physik
zu elementarisieren und in Lehrkonzepte zu überführen. Damit sollen angehenden
oder tätigen Lehrenden der Physik Mittel an die Hand gegeben werden, die ein angemessenes
Theorieverständnis ermöglichen. In erster Linie wird damit bezweckt, eine wesentliche
Forschungsmethode der Astrophysik - nämlich Himmelskörper mathematisch so zu modellieren,
dass an ihrer Oberfläche beobachtbare Phänomene vorhergesagt werden - im Lehr-
und Unterrichtsbetrieb zu präsentieren. Bekanntlich werden viele astrophysikalische
Phänomene in der Lehrliteratur nur phänomenologisch abgehandelt, wodurch das Desiderat
entsteht, dass die eigentliche Untersuchungsmethodologie nur ungenügend vermittelt
wird.\r\nIn der Promotionsschrift wird berücksichtigt, dass Astrophysik nur einen
kleinen Teil eines Physikstudiums für das Lehramt ausmacht, der Stoff daher komprimiert
und ohne tiefere Vorkenntnisse zu behandeln ist. Weiterhin wird anhand der Analyse
von Aufgaben zweier Schulbuchreihen gezeigt, dass quantitatives Arbeiten insbesondere
in der Sekundarstufe II einen großen Teil des Physikunterrichts ausmacht und sich
daher mathematisches Modellieren für Übungen anbietet.\r\nVon jeher unterliegt
die Astrophysik einem besonders kritischen, erkenntnistheoretischen Blick, da
sie naturgegeben weitgehend auf die experimentelle Untersuchung ihrer Forschungsgegenstände
verzichten muss und nur anhand passiver Beobachtungen zu Erkenntnissen gelangen
kann. Eine sinnvolle Beschäftigung mit modernen Forschungsresultaten der Astrophysik
ist daher ohne eine besondere Einbindung in einen erkenntnistheoretischen Rahmen
kaum vorstellbar. Daher werden in der vorliegenden Schrift erkenntnistheoretische
Grundlagen vorgestellt, die einen kritischen Blick auf die Entwicklung einer astrophysikalischen
Theorie ermöglichen.\r\nEs werden Varianten aufgezeigt, die Sterne sowohl als
quasi-statische Objekte zu betrachten als auch ihre Entwicklung näher zu beleuchten.
Speziell auf die Bedingungen zur Entwicklung von Leben auf einem Planeten und
die dabei bestehenden Zusammenhänge zum Zentralgestirn wird eingegangen, da die
Frage nach Leben auf anderen Planeten ein für Lernende interessantes Thema ist.
Die präsentierten Modelle benötigen dabei nur Mathematik und Physik der Grundvorlesungen,
teilweise genügt Abiturniveau."

text: "This thesis is about ways of simplifying stellar physics and of transferring
them into teaching concepts. The aim is to provide future or active teachers of
physics with the means to gain an appropriate understanding of theory. The main
goal is to present an essential research method of astrophysics - to model celestial
bodies mathematically in such a way that observable phenomena are predicted on
their surface - in teaching. Currently, many astrophysical phenomena are only
dealt with phenomenologically in teaching literature, which results in the desideratum
that the actual research methodology is only insufficiently conveyed.\r\nThis
doctoral thesis takes into consideration astrophysics being only a minor part
of a physics course in the teaching-study program, therefore the material is condensed
and can be accessed without deeper previous knowledge. Furthermore, the analysis
of the tasks of two textbook series shows that quantitative work, especially in
secondary level II, constitutes in a large part of physics teaching and that mathematical
modelling therefore is suitable for exercises.\r\nAstrophysics has always been
subject to a particularly critical, epistemological view, since it naturally has
to largely dispense with the experimental investigation of its research objects
and can only lead to findings based on passive observations. A meaningful occupation
with modern research results of astrophysics is therefore hardly imaginable without
a special integration into an epistemological framework. Thus, the presented paper
shows epistemological fundamentals that allow a critical view on the development
of an astrophysical theory.\r\nVariants are shown to view the stars both as quasi-static
objects and to shed light their evolution. Particularly the conditions for the
development of life on a planet and the existing connections to the central star
are discussed, since the question of life on other planets is an interesting topic
for learners. The presented models are based on basic mathematics and physics
lectures, partly even high school level is sufficient."
