To address this problem, Intel (HARP) and Microsoft (Catapult) have proposed CPU-FPGA integrated architectures that can deliver efficient power-performance executions. Unfortunately, the integration of FPGA acceleration modules to software is a challenging endeavor that does not have a seamless programming model.
