It investigates the extent to which this formula is connected to Jesus’s words to Mary Magdalene on Easter morning in John 20:17. The analysis aims to show that the Qur’an critically engages with the Christian interpretive tradition surrounding this statement as recorded in John’s Gospel and adapts it – both contextually and verbally – within its own theological framework. As in the Christian tradition, this Qur’anic engagement also generates a broader discourse on the hermeneutics of scriptural interpretation."}],"date_created":"2026-08-13T10:51:50Z","file":[{"file_id":"66706","content_type":"application/x-zip-compressed","success":1,"relation":"main_file","date_updated":"2026-08-13T10:52:38Z","file_name":"OneDrive_1_12.8.2026.zip","access_level":"closed","file_size":3039818,"date_created":"2026-08-13T10:52:38Z","creator":"ghaffar"}],"department":[{"_id":"469"}],"keyword":["Qur’an","John 20:17","Scriptural hermeneutics","Words of Jesus","Intertextuality"],"type":"journal_article","status":"public","has_accepted_license":"1","_id":"66705","publisher":"Informa UK Limited","page":"1-17","user_id":"83446","ddc":["200"],"citation":{"ieee":"Z.
