Based on a videographic multimodal single case analysis, we demonstrate how non-speaking VR participants furnish their bodies, at-hand instruments, and their interactive environment for their practical purposes. Our findings are subsequently related to renewed discussions of the relationship between agency and environment, and the co-constructed nature of situated action. We thus aim to contribute to the growing vocabulary of atypical interaction analysis and the broader context of ethnomethodological conceptualizations of unorthodox and fractured interactional ecologies.
","lang":"eng"}],"date_created":"2023-06-13T11:35:02Z","keyword":["General Medicine"],"type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"9"}],"status":"public","_id":"45599","publisher":"Det Kgl. «Sketchnotes» vermehrt Eingang in unterschiedliche Lebensbereiche finden.
“‹Ich Sehe Was, Was Du Nicht Siehst…› Zu Den Potenzialen von Sketchnoting Im Kontext Inklusiver Medienbildung .” <i>MedienPädagogik: Zeitschrift Für Theorie Und Praxis Der Medienbildung</i>, 2023, 619–47. <a href=\"https://doi.org/10.21240/mpaed/jb20/2023.09.23.x\">https://doi.org/10.21240/mpaed/jb20/2023.09.23.x</a>.","short":"M.-A. Based on the assumption that the use of computer simulations in pandemic management is not only a means to an end for political or epidemiological goals but also plays a significant role in determining which goals and strategies appear politically legitimate, the paper reconstructs how insights into the pandemic are generated in ABMS and specifically in the researched project and made accessible for decision-making.
"}],"related_material":{"link":[{"url":"https://www.tatup.de/index.php/tatup/article/view/7038","relation":"confirmation"}]},"publication":"TATuP - Zeitschrift für Technikfolgenabschätzung in Theorie und Praxis","issue":"1"},{"citation":{"mla":"Köring, Laura, et al. “Boron‐Centered Lewis Superacid through Redox‐Active Ligands: Application in C−F and S−F Bond Activation.” <i>Angewandte Chemie</i>, Wiley, 2023, doi:<a href=\"https://doi.org/10.1002/ange.202301632\">10.1002/ange.202301632</a>.","bibtex":"@article{Köring_Stepen_Birenheide_Barth_Leskov_Schoch_Krämer_Breher_Paradies_2023, title={Boron‐Centered Lewis Superacid through Redox‐Active Ligands: Application in C−F and S−F Bond Activation}, DOI={<a href=\"https://doi.org/10.1002/ange.202301632\">10.1002/ange.202301632</a>}, journal={Angewandte Chemie}, publisher={Wiley}, author={Köring, Laura and Stepen, Arne and Birenheide, Bernhard and Barth, Simon and Leskov, Maxim and Schoch, Roland and Krämer, Felix and Breher, Frank and Paradies, Jan}, year={2023} }","ama":"Köring L, Stepen A, Birenheide B, et al. NCDs contribute immensely to the economic costs of the health care system arising from therapy, medication use, and productivity loss. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the Healthy Lifestyle Community Program (cohort 2; HLCP-2) on medication use and consequently on medication costs for selected NCDs (diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia). Methods: Data stem from a 24-month non-randomised, controlled intervention trial aiming to improve risk factors for NCDs. Participants completed questionnaires at six measurement time points assessing medication use, from which costs were calculated. The following medication groups were included in the analysis as NCD medication: glucose-lowering medications (GLM), antihypertensive drugs (AHD) and lipid-lowering drugs (LLD). Statistical tests for inter- and intra-group comparison and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: In total, 118 participants (intervention group [IG]: n = 79; control group [CG]: n = 39) were considered. Compared to baseline medication use decreased slightly in the IG and increased in the CG. Costs for NCD medication were significantly lower in the IG than in the CG after 6 ( p = 0.004), 12 ( p = 0.040), 18 ( p = 0.003) and 24 months ( p = 0.008). After multiple regression analysis and adjusting for confounders, change of costs differed significantly between the groups in all final models. Conclusion: The HLCP-2 was able to moderately prevent an increase of medication use and thus reduce costs for medication to treat NCDs with the greatest impact on AHD.
Trial registration
German Clinical Trials Register DRKS ( www.drks.de ; reference: DRKS00018775).
"}],"date_created":"2023-06-28T09:29:18Z","department":[{"_id":"22"}],"keyword":["Nutrition and Dietetics","General Medicine","Medicine (miscellaneous)"],"type":"journal_article","author":[{"last_name":"Kranz","first_name":"Ragna-Marie","full_name":"Kranz, Ragna-Marie"},{"last_name":"Kettler","first_name":"Carmen","full_name":"Kettler, Carmen"},{"full_name":"Anand, Corinna","last_name":"Anand","first_name":"Corinna"},{"full_name":"Koeder, Christian","first_name":"Christian","last_name":"Koeder"},{"last_name":"Husain","first_name":"Sarah","full_name":"Husain, Sarah"},{"full_name":"Schoch, Nora","first_name":"Nora","last_name":"Schoch"},{"id":"65985","last_name":"Buyken","first_name":"Anette","full_name":"Buyken, Anette"},{"last_name":"Englert","first_name":"Heike","full_name":"Englert, Heike"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["0260-1060","2047-945X"]},"status":"public","year":"2023","title":"Effect of a controlled lifestyle intervention on medication use and costs: The Healthy Lifestyle Community Program (cohort 2)","date_updated":"2023-06-28T09:29:52Z","publication_status":"published","publisher":"SAGE Publications","_id":"45810","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"article_number":"026010602311646","doi":"10.1177/02601060231164665","user_id":"92491"},{"volume":24,"user_id":"48864","publisher":"MDPI AG","_id":"46543","status":"public","citation":{"ieee":"B. Herein, ferritin adsorption at flat and nanofaceted, single-crystalline Al2O3 surfaces is investigated using atomic force microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The nanofaceted surfaces are generated by the thermal annealing of Al2O3 wafers at temperatures above 1000 °C, which leads to the formation of faceted saw-tooth-like surface topographies with periodicities of about 160 nm and amplitudes of about 15 nm. Ferritin adsorption at these nanofaceted surfaces is notably suppressed compared to the flat surface at a concentration of 10 mg/mL, which is attributed to lower adsorption affinities of the newly formed facets. Consequently, adsorption is restricted mostly to the pattern grooves, where the proteins can maximize their contact area with the surface. However, this effect depends on the protein concentration, with an inverse trend being observed at 30 mg/mL. Furthermore, different ferritin adsorption behavior is observed at topographically similar nanofacet patterns fabricated at different annealing temperatures and attributed to different step and kink densities. These results demonstrate that while protein adsorption at solid surfaces can be notably affected by nanofacet patterns, fine-tuning protein adsorption in this way requires the precise control of facet properties.
"}],"issue":"16","publication":"International Journal of Molecular Sciences"},{"extern":"1","issue":"3","publication":"Sociology of Power","keyword":["General Medicine"],"type":"journal_article","date_created":"2023-07-20T11:43:01Z","intvolume":" 34","date_updated":"2023-08-30T19:31:24Z","publication_status":"published","author":[{"first_name":"Maria","last_name":"A. However, potential costs at the side of the producer of a fake action have only rarely been investigated before. It is thus not clear yet if the benefit (i.e., slowed reactions in the observer) of performing a head fake is overestimated due to concurrently arising fake production costs (i.e., slowed performance in the producer of a head fake). Therefore, we studied potential head-fake production costs with two experiments. Novice participants were asked to generate passes to the left or right side, either with or without head fakes. In Experiment 1, these actions were determined by an auditory stimulus (i.e., a 440 Hz or 1200 Hz sinus or jigsaw wave). After an interstimulus interval (ISI) of either 0 ms, 800 ms, or 1500 ms, which served the preparation of the action, the cued action had to be executed. In Experiment 2, passing to the left or right, either with or without a head fake, was determined by a visual stimulus (i.e., a player with a red or blue jersey defending either the right or left side). After an ISI of either 0 ms, 400 ms, 800 ms, or 1200 ms, the cued action had to be executed. In both experiments, we observed higher reaction times (RTs) for passes with head fakes as compared to passes without head fakes for no and an intermediate preparation interval (from ISI 0 ms to 800 ms), but no difference for a long preparation interval (for an ISI of 1200 ms and 1500 ms). Both experiments show that generating fake actions produces performance costs, however, these costs can be overcome by a longer preparation phase before movement execution.","lang":"eng"}],"article_number":"103045","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1016/j.humov.2022.103045","year":"2023","title":"Producing deceptive actions in sports: The costs of generating head fakes in basketball","author":[{"first_name":"Iris","orcid":"0000-0003-0549-5543","last_name":"Güldenpenning","full_name":"Güldenpenning, Iris","id":"52931"},{"last_name":"Weigelt","first_name":"Matthias","full_name":"Weigelt, Matthias","id":"36388"},{"id":"52000","full_name":"Böer, Nils Tobias","last_name":"Böer","first_name":"Nils Tobias","orcid":"0000-0002-0236-7282"},{"first_name":"Wilfried","last_name":"Kunde","full_name":"Kunde, Wilfried"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["0167-9457"]},"date_updated":"2023-09-12T09:14:38Z","publication_status":"published","intvolume":" 87","article_type":"original"},{"intvolume":" 38","publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2023-09-16T11:51:26Z","publication_identifier":{"issn":["1430-8800"]},"author":[{"first_name":"Marc","last_name":"Frick","full_name":"Frick, Marc"},{"first_name":"Dario","last_name":"Foese","full_name":"Foese, Dario"},{"last_name":"Von Graevenitz","first_name":"Kathrine","full_name":"Von Graevenitz, Kathrine"},{"last_name":"Kesternich","first_name":"Martin","full_name":"Kesternich, Martin"},{"full_name":"Wagner, Ulrich","last_name":"Wagner","first_name":"Ulrich"}],"year":"2023","title":"Die Doppelwirkung von Information für klimafreundliches Handeln","status":"public","volume":38,"user_id":"98922","doi":"10.14512/oew380144","_id":"47082","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"series_title":"Ökologisches Wirtschaften","page":"44-50","abstract":[{"text":"
Informationen sind für eine erfolgreiche Klimapolitik in doppelter Hinsicht wichtig: Sie werden benötigt, wenn Potenziale zur Vermeidung von Emissionen identifiziert und klimapolitische Instrumente ausgewählt werden.
