To implement inclusive education successfully, it is crucial that teachers and other school staff are trained to cooperate effectively as a team and to involve parents in educational processes. In the project BiFoKi (Bielefeld Training on Cooperation in inclusive), we developed an in-service training for inclusive schools that addresses the intra-institutional cooperation within schools and the inter-institutional cooperation with the parents of students with and without special educational needs. The training aims to prepare grade-level teams to create a welcoming atmosphere, adapt communication ways to the diverse needs of parents and students and to involve parents more strongly in school educational processes. To evaluate the effectiveness of the training, a quasi-experimental study with a pre-post control group design was implemented. Longitudinal data is available for 55 teachers and other professionals. These programmes’ main characteristic and greatest challenge is their integration of academic and vocational learning. So far, this challenge has frequently been stated without specifying its exact nature and consequences for learners. The present study addresses this pedagogical research gap and examines the extent of variation in the degree of integration among dual study programmes. With reference to curriculum theory, the study develops an empirical typology of curricular integration in dual programmes. The data sample consists of 152 programmes at (dual) universities and universities of applied sciences. Data is analysed using hierarchical cluster analysis. Results indicate that the currently prevailing forms of curricular integration should best be differentiated according to five types. The five overlapping types of integration are located on a continuum ranging from parallelism through organisational linking to full curricular integration targeted immediately at students’ personal integration. The analysis confirms that there are problems with complying with integration standards set on the policy level. Above all, the study offers new insights on what marks the diverse integration landscape of dual study programmes. It proves that approaches to integration are more differentiated than previous research has shown."}],"publication":"Higher Education","keyword":["Dual study programmes · Curricular integration · Curriculum theory · Empirical typology · Cluster analysis · Germany"],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"year":"2022","quality_controlled":"1","issue":"6","title":"Curricular integration of academic and vocational education: a theory-based empirical typology of dual study programmes in Germany","publisher":"Springer Science and Business Media LLC","date_created":"2023-10-05T09:25:30Z","status":"public","type":"journal_article","article_type":"original","_id":"47627","user_id":"71994","department":[{"_id":"282"},{"_id":"208"},{"_id":"640"}],"citation":{"ieee":"L. A \r\nsteeper elevation angle would result in a more balanced seasonal PV yield, at the cost of PV yield reductions during \r\nsummer, but allowing reduced storage capacities. Additionally, the effect of a single-axis tracking system has been \r\ninvestigated, generating more electricity during the morning and evening hours, thus reducing daily storage \r\nrequirements. The necessary PV size and storage capacities required for the German energy supply (1,500 TWh after \r\nelectrification of all sectors) via 100% renewable energies and a 50% solar share have been calculated via the \r\nHOMER Pro software, considering the bridging of periods of \"dark lulls“ in winter, using costs of 2030 (Table 1). \r\nResults: The increase of module elevation angles above the typical 30° leads to a reduction of investment and supply \r\ncosts. The optimum is reached at a cost reduction of -1.5% for an elevation angle at the latitude of the installation \r\nsite. An explanation is that high elevation angles are favorable for clear winter days, but not at all for the critical days \r\nwith diffuse irradiance only, so the battery capacity must be increased. For the same reason, tracking systems do not \r\noffer any cost advantage (at least for the ones without an option for horizontal positioning during diffuse days)."}],"file":[{"content_type":"application/pdf","relation":"main_file","success":1,"creator":"krauter","date_created":"2022-01-06T13:41:20Z","date_updated":"2022-01-06T13:41:20Z","file_id":"29178","file_name":"Krauter Rustemovic Khatibi - Elevated Angle - EUPVSEC 2020.pdf","access_level":"closed","file_size":428312}],"ddc":["620"],"keyword":["Energy Storage","PV system integration","Large Grid-connected PV systems","Simulation","Energy Supply Options"],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"quality_controlled":"1","year":"2020","date_created":"2020-09-14T12:42:30Z","title":"Reduction of required storage capacities for a 100% renewable energy supply in Germany, if new PV systems are installed with east-west tracking systems at increased elevation angles"},{"year":"2018","citation":{"ama":"Abramov O, Kopp S, Nemeth A, Kern F, Mertens U, Rohlfing K. For instance, using a messenger on a smartphone to share a text written on a desktop computer often ends up in a cumbersome solution to transfer the text, because many applications are not designed for such scenarios. In this paper, we present an approach enabling the integration of apps running on Android devices into applications running on other devices and even other platforms. This is achieved by specifying adapters for Android apps, which map their services to a platform-independent service interface. For this purpose, we have developed a domain-specific language to ease the specification of such mappings. Our approach is applicable without the need to modify the existing Android apps providing the service. We analyzed its feasibility by implementing our approach and by specifying mappings for several popular Android apps, e.g., phone book, camera, and file explorer.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"Service-Oriented Computing","title":"Cross-Device Integration of Android Apps","publisher":"Springer International Publishing","date_created":"2018-11-26T10:21:38Z","year":"2016"},{"status":"public","type":"conference","extern":"1","user_id":"42496","department":[{"_id":"36"},{"_id":"1"},{"_id":"579"}],"_id":"1120","citation":{"ieee":"J. In our view, its main advantages are the following: It is completely web based. It combines all technologies, data, software agents and human agents involved in the monitoring and customer interaction process. It can be used for messages written in any natural language. Although the prototype of SCM is designed for classifying and processing messages about mobile-phone related problems in social networks, SCM can easily be adapted to other text types such as discussion board posts, blogs or emails. Unlike comparable systems, SCM uses linguistic technologies to classify messages and recognize paraphrases of product names. For two reasons, product name paraphrasing plays a major role in SCM: First, product names typically have many, sometimes hundreds or thousands of intralingual paraphrases. Secondly, product names have interlingual paraphrases: The same products are often called or spelt differently in different countries and/or languages. By mapping product name variants to an international canonical form, SCM allows for answering questions like Which statements are made about this mobile phone in which languages/in which social networks/in which countries/...? The SCM product name paraphrasing engine is designed in such a way that standard variants are assigned automatically, regular variants are assigned semiautomatically and idiosyncratic variants can be added manually. With this and similar features we try to realize our philosophy of simplicity, modularity and flexibility: Whatever can be done automatically is done automatically. But manual intervention is always possible and easy and it does not conflict in any way with the automatic functions of SCM.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"International Conference on Information Society (i-Society 2011)","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"keyword":["Social Media Business Integration","Contact Center Application Support","Monitoring Social Conversations","Social Customer Interaction Management","Monitoring","Software Agents"],"year":"2011","quality_controlled":"1","title":"SCM - A Simple, Modular and Flexible Customer Interaction Management System","date_created":"2018-01-29T15:15:25Z","publisher":"IEEE"},{"place":"Hamburg, Germany","citation":{"apa":"Geierhos, M., Lee, Y. In order to maintain an active communication with international clients via social media, the multilingual consumer contacts have to be categorized and then automatically assigned to the corresponding business processes (e.g. technicalservice, shipping, marketing, and accounting). For this reason, it is assumed that social networks will evolve into a common communication channel – not only between individuals but also between customers and companies. However, social networking has not yet been integrated into customer interaction management (CIM) tools. In general, a CIM application is used by the agents in a contact centre while communicating with the customers. Such systems handle communication across multiple different channels, such as e-mail, telephone, Instant Messaging, letter etc. What we do now is to integrate social networking into CIM applications by adding another communication channel. This allows the company to follow general trends in customer opinions on the Internet, but also record two-sided communication for customer service management and the company’s response will be delivered through the customer’s preferred social networking site."}],"keyword":["Social Media Business Integration","Multichannel Customer Interaction Management","Contact Centre Application Support"],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}]}]
