This paper aims to review the development of AR since 2010, particularly in technical university laboratories, through a systematic literature review. The study investigates AR's relevance in university teaching and examines specific AR applications in laboratory settings.\r\nUsing a mixed-method approach, the research first employs a web crawler to gather 27,249 articles from the Lens database, followed by a bibliometric analysis. Further, Google Scholar is used to find 374 articles related to AR in scientific and technical laboratories, with 51 significant ones evaluated for application areas, findings, and other criteria.\r\nThe findings show that AR in education is a growing trend, with a significant increase in publications and citations in recent years. Most studies focus on marker-based mobile AR applications, assessing aspects like motivation and user experience through surveys and interviews. However, there's limited research on AR's learning effectiveness in laboratories, partly due to the scarcity of technical equipment. One study found no significant learning impact from AR."}],"publication":"Recent Trends of AI Technologies and Virtual Reality: Proceedings of 8th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality (AIVR 2024)","volume":432,"user_id":"11763","publisher":"Springer Nature","_id":"60892","page":"427","conference":{"name":"International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality","start_date":"2024-07-19","location":"Fukuoka, Japan","end_date":"2024-07-21"},"status":"public","project":[{"name":"DigiSelF - Digitalisierung als Herausforderung und Innovation in der Hochschullehre","_id":"1387"}],"citation":{"ieee":"M. This paper conducts a Systematic Literature Review at the intersection of the knowledge management field and disaster management and examines the available body of literature. Fire departments are chosen as the focus group as they are the most prevalent emergency services. There are many publications that deal with knowledge management during the response phase of an emergency. Often, the literature focuses on the application of knowledge management in large-scale disasters to link the various organizations on-scene. What is missing in most approaches is a prior step of implementing and training the knowledge management system. Therefore, this literature review seeks to provide an overview of approaches for daily routines and small-to-medium incidents that serve as a training ground. However, literature on non-incident phases and smaller incidents is scarce. As information technologies are developing rapidly, there is no modern and recent description of the current use of knowledge management solutions in this area.","lang":"eng"}],"citation":{"chicago":"Schultz, Andreas Maximilian, Fabian Dotzki, and Iryna Mozgova. “Knowledge Management in Civil Protection at the Example of Fire Brigades.” In Proceedings of the 16th International Joint Conference on Knowledge Discovery, Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) allow for acquisition, management, analysis, and presentation of geospatial objects. With free geospatial data becoming available through open data policies and an increasing amount of digitally connected objects in the Internet of Things (IoT), GIS are becoming indispensable to Information Systems (IS) research. However, the consideration and relevance of GIS has only been investigated rarely. We examine, how and in which fields of application GIS have been studied in the IS literature and elicit the importance of GIS regarding their design and usage. A systematic literature review leads us to develop four research propositions. Our results indicate that GIS are still an undeservedly underrepresented discipline in IS and should be more theorized, put center-stage in design-oriented research, and considered for creating superior value co-creation in service systems."}]},{"oa":"1","project":[{"_id":"378","grant_number":"01JD1814A","name":"DigHomE: DigHomE: Digital Home Learning Environment – Gelingensbedingungen elterlicher Unterstützung bei der informationsorientierten Internetnutzung"}],"citation":{"bibtex":"@article{Kurock_Gruchel_Bonanati_Buhl_2022, title={Family Climate and Social Adaptation of Adolescents in Community Samples: A Systematic Review}, DOI={10.1007/s40894-022-00189-2}, journal={Adolescent Research Review}, publisher={Springer Science and Business Media LLC}, author={Kurock, Ricarda and Gruchel, Nicole and Bonanati, Sabrina and Buhl, Heike M.}, year={2022} }","ama":"Kurock R, Gruchel N, Bonanati S, Buhl HM. Yet there is little information about the impact of family climate on adolescents’ social adaptation, and the term “family climate” is seldom clearly defined and is usually related to other concepts, such as family systems or family environments. To understand the core of family climate, this study conducted a systematic review to analyze research about family climate associated with adolescents’ social adaptation in community samples. A search of empirical research published over the last 20 years identified 12 relevant studies. The studies revealed that family climate can mainly be described in terms of cohesion, conflict, organization, adaptability, and expressiveness. Family climate was shown to be a good predictor of both problem-solving skills and violence in relationships and exhibited further associations with other aspects of social adaptation. This review revealed a need for more systematic and longitudinal research on family climate in community samples."}],"publication":"Adolescent Research Review","doi":"10.1007/s40894-022-00189-2","main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s40894-022-00189-2.pdf"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"date_updated":"2023-12-20T13:37:55Z","publication_status":"published","year":"2022","title":"Family Climate and Social Adaptation of Adolescents in Community Samples: A Systematic Review","publication_identifier":{"issn":["2363-8346","2363-8354"]},"author":[{"id":"78797","last_name":"Kurock","first_name":"Ricarda","full_name":"Kurock, Ricarda"},{"last_name":"Gruchel","first_name":"Nicole","full_name":"Gruchel, Nicole","id":"38556"},{"first_name":"Sabrina","last_name":"Bonanati","full_name":"Bonanati, Sabrina"},{"full_name":"Buhl, Heike M.","last_name":"Buhl","first_name":"Heike M.","id":"27152"}]},{"quality_controlled":"1","citation":{"mla":"Schneijderberg, Christian, et al. “(Be)Werten im organisationsabhängigen Interaktionssystem: das Beispiel Peer Review in Akkreditierungsverfahren von Hochschulen und Studiengängen.” Zeitschrift für Evaluation, vol. 21, no. 02, Waxmann, 2022, pp. 217–44, doi:10.31244/zfe.2022.02.03.","ama":"Schneijderberg C, Götze N, Steinhardt I, Schindler J. Nevertheless, corresponding guidelines have not been updated for decades. We contend that the traditional strategy of skimming all papers and reading selected papers afterwards needs to be revised. Therefore, we design a new strategy that guides the overall exploratory process by prioritizing influential papers for initial reading, followed by skimming the remaining papers. Consistent with schemata theory, starting with in-depth reading allows readers to acquire more substantial prior content schemata, which are representa-tive for the literature corpus and useful in the following skimming process. To this end, we develop a prototype that identifies the influential papers from a set of PDFs, which is illustrated in a case study in the IT business value domain. With the new strategy, we envision a more efficient process of exploring unknown literature corpora."}],"publication":"28th European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS 2020)","type":"conference","keyword":["Reading and skimming","Exploring literature","Review methodology","Design science research","Schemata theory"],"department":[{"_id":"277"}],"file":[{"file_id":"17056","content_type":"application/pdf","relation":"main_file","date_updated":"2021-08-13T14:04:55Z","file_name":"2020-03-27-ECIS2020 Designing a novel strategy for exploring literature corpora.pdf","access_level":"open_access","file_size":590754,"date_created":"2020-05-24T17:17:32Z","creator":"hsiemes"}],"date_created":"2020-05-24T15:23:32Z","date_updated":"2022-01-06T06:53:03Z","year":"2020","title":"Designing a Novel Strategy for Exploring Literature Corpora","author":[{"full_name":"Wagner, Gerit","last_name":"Wagner","first_name":"Gerit"},{"full_name":"Empl, Philipp","first_name":"Philipp","last_name":"Empl"},{"id":"72850","first_name":"Guido","last_name":"Schryen","full_name":"Schryen, Guido"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}]},{"title":"Detection of Privacy Disclosure in the Medical Domain: A Survey","year":"2020","author":[{"first_name":"Bianca","last_name":"Buff","full_name":"Buff, Bianca"},{"full_name":"Kersting, Joschka","first_name":"Joschka","last_name":"Kersting","id":"58701"},{"first_name":"Michaela","orcid":"0000-0002-8180-5606","last_name":"Geierhos","full_name":"Geierhos, Michaela","id":"42496"}],"date_updated":"2022-01-06T06:52:30Z","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"publication":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods (ICPRAM 2020)","abstract":[{"lang":"eng","text":"When it comes to increased digitization in the health care domain, privacy is a relevant topic nowadays. This relates to patient data, electronic health records or physician reviews published online, for instance. There exist different approaches to the protection of individuals’ privacy, which focus on the anonymization and masking of personal information subsequent to their mining. In the medical domain in particular, measures to protect the privacy of patients are of high importance due to the amount of sensitive data that is involved (e.g. age, gender, illnesses, medication). While privacy breaches in structured data can be detected more easily, disclosure in written texts is more difficult to find automatically due to the unstructured nature of natural language. Therefore, we take a detailed look at existing research on areas related to privacy protection. Likewise, we review approaches to the automatic detection of privacy disclosure in different types of medical data. We provide a survey of several studies concerned with privacy breaches in the medical domain with a focus on Physician Review Websites (PRWs). Yet, we observe a\r\nlack of insights into the activities with which LRs actually develop knowledge. To address this important gap, we (1)\r\nderive knowledge building activities from the extant literature on LRs, (2) suggest a knowledge-based typology of LRs\r\nthat complements existing typologies, and (3) apply the suggested typology in an empirical study that explores how LRs\r\nwith different goals and methodologies have contributed to knowledge development. The analysis of 240 LRs published\r\nin 40 renowned IS journals between 2000 and 2014 allows us to draw a detailed picture of knowledge development\r\nachieved by one of the most important genres in the IS field. (2) SET is commonly viewed as a control tool deserving methodological improvement, while bias is debated in the US. We also found local trajectories: (3) Whereas in the US and Latin America SET is primarily seen as a management tool, German-speaking and Chinese authors reflect more on improving teaching. Chinese scholars consider SET a valid instrument for state control associated with artificial intelligence. Also, (4) SET is commonly used in medical education in the US and the German-speaking region and in physical education in China. From the perspective of potential students, these programmes are highly attractive because they combine types of learning that used to be largely separate at an institutional level: vocational and academic learning. In training-integrated dual study programmes, different institutional contexts, governance regimes, teaching styles and learning environments make bridging these two worlds of learning a challenge for both educators and learners. However, these programmes also allow leeway for didactic innovation, through the cooperation of different types of educational institutions and through new ways of using available didactic methods, and for establishing a new relationship between higher education (HE) and vocational education and training (VET). This paper positions training-integrated dual study programmes as an object of design-based research (DBR). By developing and using an extended model for the pedagogic development of HEIs, “pädagogische Hochschulentwicklung” (Brahm, Jenert, & Euler, 2016a, p. 19; Euler, 2013, p. 360), the paper systematically identifies generic educational problems in these hybrids. Based on a literature review, this paper classifies and explains the design challenges at the level of the learning environment, the study programme and the organisation. The challenges revolve mainly around the cooperation and integration of HE and VET. The paper concludes with an outlook on future DBR projects designing dual studies."}]},{"conference":{"end_date":"2018-10-06","location":"Vilnius, Lithuania","start_date":"2018-10-04","name":"24th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies (ICIST 2018)"},"status":"public","has_accepted_license":"1","publisher":"Springer","_id":"4338","page":"43-58","editor":[{"full_name":"Damaševičius, Robertas","first_name":"Robertas","last_name":"Damaševičius"},{"first_name":"Giedrė","last_name":"Vasiljevienė","full_name":"Vasiljevienė, Giedrė"}],"volume":920,"ddc":["000"],"user_id":"58701","citation":{"short":"F.S. Patients review the subjectively experienced quality of medical services supplied to them and publish an overall rating on the Internet, where quantitative grades and qualitative texts come together. On the one hand, these new possibilities reduce the imbalance of power between health care providers and patients, but on the other hand, they can also damage the usually very intimate relationship between health care providers and patients. Review websites must meet these requirements with a high level of responsibility and service quality. In this paper, we look at the situation in Lithuania: Especially, we are interested in the available possibilities of evaluation and interaction, and the quality of a particular review website measured against the available data. We thereby identify quality weaknesses and lay the foundation for future research.","lang":"eng"}],"date_created":"2018-09-01T08:39:28Z","file":[{"date_updated":"2020-09-18T09:22:34Z","relation":"main_file","file_size":1835681,"access_level":"closed","file_name":"Bäumer et al. Methodologists have drawn attention to the question of how we can leverage the value of LRs to preserve and generate knowledge. The panelists who participated in the discussion of ?Standalone Literature Reviews in IS Research: What Can Be Learnt from the Past and Other Fields?? at ICIS 2016 in Dublin acknowledged this significant issue and debated a) what the IS field can learn from other fields and where IS-specific challenges occur, b) how the IS field should move forward to foster the genre of LRs, and c) what best practices are to train doctoral IS students in publishing LRs. This article reports the key takeaways of this panel discussion. Guidance for IS scholars is provided on how to conduct LRs that contribute to the cumulative knowledge development within and across the IS field to best prepare the next generation of IS scholars."}],"extern":"1","file":[{"file_name":"Schryen et al.
