  abstract     = {{Recent analyses by polarization resolved second-harmonic (SH) microscopy have demonstrated that ferroelectric (FE) domain walls (DWs) can possess non-Ising wall characteristics and topological nature. These analyses rely on locally analyzing the properties, directionality, and magnitude of the second-order nonlinear tensor. However, when inspecting FE DWs with SH microscopy, a manifold of different effects may contribute to the observed signal difference between domains and DWs, i.e., far-field interference, Čerenkov-type phase-matching (CSHG), and changes in the aforementioned local nonlinear optical properties. They all might be present at the same time and, therefore, require careful interpretation and separation. In this work, we demonstrate how the particularly strong Čerenkov-type contrast can selectively be blocked using dark- and bright-field SH microscopy. Based on this approach, we show that other contrast mechanisms emerge that were previously overlayed by CSHG but can now be readily selected through the appropriate experimental geometry. Using the methods presented, we show that the strength of the CSHG contrast compared to the other mechanisms is approximately 22 times higher. This work lays the foundation for the in-depth analysis of FE DW topologies by SH microscopy.}},

  abstract     = {{Spontaneous Raman spectroscopy (SR) is a versatile method for analysis and visualization of ferroelectric crystal structures, including domain walls. Nevertheless, the necessary acquisition time makes SR impractical for in situ analysis and large scale imaging. In this work, we introduce broadband coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (B-CARS) as a high-speed alternative to conventional Raman techniques and demonstrate its benefits for ferroelectric domain wall analysis. Using the example of poled lithium niobate, we compare the spectral output of both techniques in terms of domain wall signatures and imaging capabilities. We extract the Raman-like resonant part of the coherent anti-Stokes signal via a Kramers–Kronig-based phase retrieval algorithm and compare the raw and phase-retrieved signals to SR characteristics. Finally, we propose a mechanism for the observed domain wall signal strength that resembles a Čerenkov-like behavior, in close analogy to domain wall signatures obtained by second-harmonic generation imaging. We, thus, lay here the foundations for future investigations on other poled ferroelectric crystals using B-CARS.}},

  abstract     = {{Thin-film materials from μm thickness down to single-atomic-layered 2D materials play a central role in many novel electronic and optical applications. Coherent, nonlinear optical (NLO) μ-spectroscopy offers insight into the local thickness, stacking order, symmetry, or electronic and vibrational properties. Thin films and 2D materials are usually supported on multi-layered substrates leading to (multi-)reflections, interference, or phase jumps at interfaces during μ-spectroscopy, which all can make the interpretation of experiments particularly challenging. The disentanglement of the influence parameters can be achieved via rigorous theoretical analysis. In this work, we compare two self-developed modeling approaches, a semi-analytical and a fully vectorial model, to experiments carried out in thin-film geometry for two archetypal NLO processes, second-harmonic and third-harmonic generation. In particular, we demonstrate that thin-film interference and phase matching do heavily influence the signal strength. Furthermore, we work out key differences between three and four photon processes, such as the role of the Gouy-phase shift and the focal position. Last, we can show that a relatively simple semi-analytical model, despite its limitations, is able to accurately describe experiments at a significantly lower computational cost as compared to a full vectorial modeling. This study lays the groundwork for performing quantitative NLO μ-spectroscopy on thin films and 2D materials, as it identifies and quantifies the impact of the corresponding sample and setup parameters on the NLO signal, in order to distinguish them from genuine material properties.<}},

  abstract     = {{Second harmonic (SH) microscopy represents a powerful tool for the investigation of crystalline systems, such as ferroelectrics and their domain walls (DWs). Under the condition of normal dispersion, i.e., the refractive index at the SH wavelength is larger as compared to the refractive index at the fundamental wavelength, n(2ω)>n(ω), bulk crystals will generate no SH signal. Should the bulk, however, contain DWs, an appreciable SH signal will still be detectable at the location of DWs stemming from the Čerenkov mechanism. In this work, we demonstrate both how SH signals are generated in bulk media and how the Čerenkov mechanism can be inhibited by using anomalous dispersion, i.e., n(ω)<n(2ω). This allows us to quantitatively estimate the relative strength of the Čerenkov compared to other SH contrast mechanisms in DWs, such as the interference contrast. The results are in agreement with previous experiments based on the geometric separation of the signals. Due to the observed, strong Čerenkov contrast, such signal contributions may not be neglected in polarimetry studies of ferroelectric DWs in the future.}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Integrated thinking (IT) is a managerial mindset increasingly discussed in the context of value creation. Through the lens of systems theory, this study examines how the degree to which IT is embedded in a firm's strategy and day‐to‐day business processes is associated with the firm's social and environmental value creation. Using a broad international dataset, we find strong evidence that our measure of IT is positively related to a firm's sustainability performance (SP), which we use to operationalize social and environmental value creation (or erosion). Our results also reveal that the increase in a firm's SP might come at the cost of a short‐term decrease in financial performance (FP). We find no indication, however, that IT induces a trade‐off between SP and long‐term FP. Integrated thinking appears to stipulate long‐term financial value creation instead. We further explore moderating factors within the organizational and institutional context of our sample firms and highlight implications for society, corporate practice, and policymaking.</jats:p>}},

Eine gut ausgebildete diagnostische Kompetenz von Lehrpersonen ist eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für gelingenden Unterricht und trägt maßgeblich zur akademischen und persönlichen Entwicklung von Schülern bei. Häufig sind Lehrpersonen jedoch nur bedingt dazu in der Lage, Schülermerkmale wie Leistung, Motivation oder Ängstlichkeit adäquat zu beurteilen. Eine Förderung der diagnostischen Kompetenz sollte bereits während des Studiums stattfinden, um Lehrpersonen früh auf diagnostische Situationen in der Schulpraxis vorzubereiten und negative Konsequenzen möglicher pädagogischer Fehlentscheidungen zu vermeiden. Dieser Beitrag vergleicht eine lehrendenzentrierte, eine problembasierte und eine digitale, simulationsbasierte Maßnahme zur Förderung unterschiedlicher Aspekte diagnostischer Kompetenz an einer Stichprobe von N = 166 Lehramtsstudierenden im Hinblick auf ihre Wirksamkeit. Es zeigen sich insbesondere Vorteile der simulationsbasierten Fördermaßnahme in den Bereichen intrinsische Motivation und Interesse sowie Nachteile der lehrendenzentrierten Maßnahme im Bereich des Wissens um das systematische Vorgehen im diagnostischen Prozess und der problembasierten Maßnahme im Bereich des Extraneous Cognitive Load. Die Ergebnisse werden insbesondere im Hinblick auf ihre praktischen Implikationen im Rahmen der Lehrerbildung und zunehmend digitalisierter Lehre diskutiert. </jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Research on procrastination covers a variety of individual factors (e.g., conscientiousness) and this focus is reflected in interventions against procrastination. Less emphasis is put on situational and social factors that may help students reduce procrastination, such as social interdependence. Therefore, this study investigates the relationship between interdependence with academic procrastination and affective variables. Two vignette studies with student samples (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic><jats:sub><jats:italic>1</jats:italic></jats:sub> = 320, <jats:italic>N</jats:italic><jats:sub><jats:italic>2</jats:italic></jats:sub> = 193) were conducted and data was analyzed with regression analyses and analyses of covariance. Results of both studies show lower state procrastination in group work with interdependence compared to individual work, especially in participants with high trait procrastination. This difference is more pronounced when interdependence is accompanied by an active commitment to finish the task on time. Further, interdependent group work is related to increased positive affect and decreased negative affect. The results demonstrate the relevance of situational and social factors for academic procrastination, and point toward new approaches for intervention.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{In this paper, we apply imprinting theory to examine how institutional transformation substantially influences perceptions of corruption that we argue to be incorporated to a varying extent in organizations founded in that period. For this purpose, we compare the effect of a sudden shock (dissolution of the Soviet Union) on the managers' present perceptions to that of a steady transition (EU accession). We consult the 5th round of the Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey from 2012 to 2014 analyzing 4715 interviews with managers of organizations from twelve Central and Eastern European countries. Our results reveal striking differences in the present perception of corruption for organizations founded immediately before and immediately after these institutional transitions. The study's results contribute to the research on imprinting theory regarding the relationship between organizations and institutional conditions that constitutes a lasting effect on organizational structures. Thus, applying an institutional perspective that considers less stable periods for organizations yields a promising avenue in research on organizational behavior.}},

  abstract     = {{Recently, ferroelectric domain walls (DWs) have attracted considerable attention due to their intrinsic topological effects and their huge potential for optoelectronic applications. In contrast, many of the underlying physical properties and phenomena are not well characterized. In this regard, analyzing the vibrational properties, e.g. by Raman spectroscopy, provides direct access to the various local material properties, such as strains, defects or electric fields. While the optical phonon spectra of DWs have been widely investigated in the past, no reports on the acoustic phonon properties of DWs exist. In this work, we present a joint Raman and Brillouin visualization of ferroelectric DWs in the model ferroelectric lithium niobate. This is possible by using a combined Raman and virtually imaged phased array Brillouin setup. Here, we show that DWs can be visualized via frequency shifts observed in the acoustic phonons, as well. The observed contrast then is qualitatively explained by models adapted from Raman spectroscopy. This work, hence, provides a novel route to study ferroelectric DWs and their intrinsic mechanical properties.}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:p>Aspects of data science surround us in many contexts, for example regarding climate change, air pollution, and other environmental issues. To open the “data-science-black-box” for lower secondary school students we developed a data science project focussing on the analysis of self-collected environmental data. We embed this project in computer science education, which enables us to use a new knowledge-based programming approach for the data analysis within Jupyter Notebooks and the programming language Python. In this paper, we evaluate the second cycle of this project which took place in a ninth-grade computer science class. In particular, we present how the students coped with the professional tool of Jupyter Notebooks for doing statistical investigations and which insights they gained.</jats:p>}},

               <jats:p>In this paper a measurement procedure to identify viscoelastic material parameters of plate-like samples using broadband ultrasonic waves is presented. Ultrasonic Lamb waves are excited via the thermoelastic effect using laser radiation and detected by a piezoelectric transducer. The resulting measurement data is transformed to yield information about multiple propagating Lamb waves as well as their attenuation. These results are compared to simulation results in an inverse procedure to identify the parameters of an elastic and a viscoelastic material model.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{Although the leadership literature has emphasized the importance of leader identity for leader behaviors and leader effectiveness, little is known about whether and how professionals, who are experts in their field and hold a formal leader role, construe a leader identity. To expand our understanding of leader identity construal, we explored how professors in German research universities interpreted their formal leader role and whether and how they saw themselves as leaders. Based on findings from an inductive interview study, we contribute to the literature in three ways: First, our findings imply that patterns of professional identity and leader identity dimensions likely predict when a leader role is <jats:italic>rejected</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>accommodated</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>incorporated</jats:italic>, or <jats:italic>emphasized</jats:italic>. Second, we explain why professionals with a formal leader role see themselves primarily as <jats:italic>specialists</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>mentors</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>managers</jats:italic>, or <jats:italic>shapers</jats:italic>. Third, we extend previous notions of the leader identity concept by elaborating on its dimensions. Our findings have practical implications on an individual and organizational level, and may help design more effective leadership development programs.}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:p> Integrated reporting has widely been promoted as the next evolutionary step in corporate disclosure, which would soon replace traditional reporting practices. Embedded in a zeitgeist that favors sustainability, this outlook would suggest high integrated reporting adoption rates among reporting organizations. Our analysis of integrated reporting in Germany from 2008 to 2019 shows, however, that organizations approached integrated reporting with a wait-and-see mentality. This approach cannot be described adequately by the existing conceptualizations of (partial) practice adoption. We therefore develop the notion of wait-and-see-ism, defined as the deliberate and potentially long-lasting postponement of a decision to adopt a practice while its further development is monitored silently. We see limited, though continuous, efforts to prepare for the prospect of adopting the practice of integrated reporting quickly at a later stage. Wait-and-see-ism expands on prior work on partial adoption by emphasizing its temporal dimension. This adds an important yet undertheorized option that organizations can employ to respond to ambiguous institutional demands, thus explaining the stalling of promising management practices. </jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:p>Due to their valuable properties (low weight, and good thermal and mechanical properties), glass fiber reinforced thermoplastics are becoming increasingly important. Fiber-reinforced thermoplastics are mainly manufactured by injection molding and extrusion, whereby the extrusion compounding process is primarily used to produce fiber-filled granulates. Reproducible production of high-quality components requires a granulate in which the fiber length is even and high. However, the extrusion process leads to the fact that fiber breakages can occur during processing. To enable a significant quality enhancement, experimentally validated modeling is required. In this study, short glass fiber reinforced thermoplastics (polypropylene) were produced on two different twin-screw extruders. Therefore, the machine-specific process behavior is of major interest regarding its influence. First, the fiber length change after processing was determined by experimental investigations and then simulated with the SIGMA simulation software. By comparing the simulation and experimental tests, important insights could be gained and the effects on fiber lengths could be determined in advance. The resulting fiber lengths and distributions were different, not only for different screw configurations (SC), but also for the same screw configurations on different twin-screw extruders. This may have been due to manufacturer-specific tolerances.</jats:p>}},

It employs quantitative (topic modeling) and qualitative text analysis, as well as a network analysis to examine a sample of 1,041 papers published between 1985 and mid-2022 that cite Albert and Whetten’s seminal work. Using this method of systematic literature analysis, the current study investigates the criteria of the basic definition and hypotheses mentioned in their work that contribute to its increasing significance, and those with the potential to become substantial aspects of future organizational identity research. Accordingly, Albert and Whetten’s conceptualization of organizational identity is often partially adopted in the literature. Thus, this study contributes to organizational identity research by unveiling further research questions on the evolving character of organizational identity, research methodology, and quantitative operationalization, on the basis of Albert and Whetten’s organizational identity conceptualization.</jats:p>}},
