abstract     = {{
We introduce a new phase field model for tumor growth where viscoelastic effects are taken into account. The model is derived from basic thermodynamical principles and consists of a convected Cahn–Hilliard equation with source terms for the tumor cells and a convected reaction–diffusion equation with boundary supply for the nutrient. Chemotactic terms, which are essential for the invasive behavior of tumors, are taken into account. The model is completed by a viscoelastic system consisting of the Navier–Stokes equation for the hydrodynamic quantities, and a general constitutive equation with stress relaxation for the left Cauchy–Green tensor associated with the elastic part of the total mechanical response of the viscoelastic material. For a specific choice of the elastic energy density and with an additional dissipative term accounting for stress diffusion, we prove existence of global-in-time weak solutions of the viscoelastic model for tumor growth in two space dimensions [Formula: see text] by the passage to the limit in a fully-discrete finite element scheme where a CFL condition, i.e. [Formula: see text], is required.
Moreover, in arbitrary dimensions [Formula: see text], we show stability and existence of solutions for the fully-discrete finite element scheme, where positive definiteness of the discrete Cauchy–Green tensor is proved with a regularization technique that was first introduced by Barrett and Boyaval [Existence and approximation of a (regularized) Oldroyd-B model, Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci. 21 (2011) 1783–1837]. After that, we improve the regularity results in arbitrary dimensions [Formula: see text] and in two dimensions [Formula: see text], where a CFL condition is required. Then, in two dimensions [Formula: see text], we pass to the limit in the discretization parameters and show that subsequences of discrete solutions converge to a global-in-time weak solution. Finally, we present numerical results in two dimensions [Formula: see text].
}},

Based on automated text mining and unsupervised machine learning, we collect, analyze, and interpret the IS discipline’s comprehensive research on platforms—comprising 11,049 papers spanning 44 years of research activity. From a cluster analysis concerning platform concepts’ semantically most similar words, we identify six research streams on platforms, each with their own platform terms. Based on interpreting the identified concepts vis-à-vis the extant research and considering a temporal perspective on the concepts’ application, we present a lexicon of platform concepts, to guide further research on platforms in the IS discipline. Researchers and managers can build on our results to position their work appropriately, applying a specific theoretical perspective on platforms in isolation or combining multiple perspectives to study platform phenomena at a more abstract level.}},

abstract = {{Increasing the metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) excited state lifetime of polypyridine iron(II) complexes can be achieved by lowering the ligand's π* orbital energy and by increasing the ligand field splitting. In the homo- and heteroleptic complexes [Fe(cpmp)2]2+ (12+) and [Fe(cpmp)(ddpd)]2+ (22+) with the tridentate ligands 6,2’’-carboxypyridyl-2,2’-methylamine-pyridyl-pyridine (cpmp) and N,N’-dimethyl-N,N’-di-pyridin-2-ylpyridine-2,6-diamine (ddpd) two or one dipyridyl ketone moieties provide low energy π* acceptor orbitals. A good metal-ligand orbital overlap to increase the ligand field splitting is achieved by optimizing the octahedricity through CO and NMe units between the coordinating pyridines which enable the formation of six-membered chelate rings. The push-pull ligand cpmp provides intra-ligand and ligand-to-ligand charge transfer (ILCT, LL'CT) excited states in addition to MLCT excited states. Ground and excited state properties of 12+ and 22+ were accessed by X-ray diffraction analyses, resonance Raman spectroscopy, (spectro)electrochemistry, EPR spectroscopy, X-ray emission spectroscopy, static and time-resolved IR and UV/Vis/NIR absorption spectroscopy as well as quantum chemical calculations.}},

In this paper, we investigate the parameterized complexity of model checking for Dependence and Independence logic, which are well studied logics in the area of Team Semantics. We start with a list of nine immediate parameterizations for this problem, namely the number of disjunctions (i.e. splits)/(free) variables/universal quantifiers, formula-size, the tree-width of the Gaifman graph of the input structure, the size of the universe/team and the arity of dependence atoms. We present a comprehensive picture of the parameterized complexity of model checking and obtain a division of the problem into tractable and various intractable degrees. Furthermore, we also consider the complexity of the most important variants (data and expression complexity) of the model checking problem by fixing parts of the input.
}},

In a case study approach, the paper traces how technological expectations have been influential in the creation of European institutions, R&D programmes and regulatory instruments and how they have contributed to processes of European integration. The first case study shows how the promises of a coming ‘Atomic Age’ have been mobilized to support the foundation of the European Atomic Energy Community and, thus, contributed to European integration in the post-WW2 era. The second case study analyses how the security stream within the EU’s framework programmes for R&D is shaped by the promise of ‘technosecurity’ and enacts the normative claim of the EU’s security integration in the post-Cold War era. The third case study analyses how the EU’s AI strategy and AI act articulates the vision of a ‘human-centric AI’ and how this vision is related to the EU’s current attempt to restore citizens’ trust in times of crisis.
}},
