                <jats:p>To identify and summarize the evidence for the effect of health-oriented leadership interventions on health and well-being outcomes at the employee level following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement (Moher et al. 2009).</jats:p>
              </jats:sec><jats:sec>
                <jats:title>Subject and Methods</jats:title>
                <jats:p>A systematic search of relevant studies was conducted in multiple databases. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs), cluster-randomized controlled trials (cRCTs) and controlled before–after studies (CBAs) were included based on the following criteria: interventions that addressed supervisors, to raise awareness for the importance of health issues, teach mindfulness practices for conscious awareness, reduce stress and promote resources at the level of individual behavior, and evaluated the effect on at least one outcome of psychomental stress, absenteeism and well-being on the employee level.</jats:p>
              </jats:sec><jats:sec>
                <jats:title>Results</jats:title>
                <jats:p>Of 6126 publications retrieved, ten studies were identified for analysis. Significant effects of leadership training were reported on exhaustion tendency, self-reported sickness absence, work-related sickness absence and job satisfaction in studies comparing health-oriented training programs to no intervention. Studies comparing health-oriented leadership training to other  training did not report significant effects. Risk of bias was judged to be high in seven studies and unclear in three studies.</jats:p>
              </jats:sec><jats:sec>
                <jats:title>Conclusion</jats:title>
                <jats:p>Evidence for the effectiveness of health-oriented leadership interventions on employees’ stress, absenteeism or well-being is judged to be low, clearly indicating the need for more and higher-quality research.</jats:p>

  abstract     = {{<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>This study explains how manufacturers tackle the critical managerial challenge of transforming a product-focused sales force to undertake solution selling. Through an application of configurational theory, the authors explain how individual and organizational conditions combine to determine salespeople’s engagement in solution selling. Multilevel, multisource data from the sales organization of a global supplier of building solutions represent input from salespeople (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 184), solution champions (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 23), and sales managers (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 26). A fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis reveals no single, optimal way to overcome transformation challenges. Rather, consistent with prior research, solution selling requires certain types of salespeople, because value-based selling is a necessary condition for successful engagement. Beyond this foundational condition, a heterogeneous sales force can be engaged, as long as the organization provides appropriate support that is tailored to individual salespersons’ needs. The findings affirm that this viable support can come from either sales managers or solution champions.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Online reviews have profound impacts on firm success in terms of sales volume and how much customers are willing to pay, yet firms remain highly dependent on customers’ voluntary contributions. A popular way to increase the number of online reviews is to use product testing programs, which offer participants free products in exchange for writing reviews. Firms that employ this practice generally hope to increase review quality and secure higher product rating scores. However, a qualitative study, experimental study, and multilevel analysis of a field study dataset of more than 200,000 online reviews by product testers combine to reveal that product testing programs do not necessarily generate higher quality reviews, nor better product ratings. Only in certain circumstances (e.g., higher priced products) does offering a product testing program generate these benefits for the firm. Therefore, companies should consider carefully if and when they want to offer product testing programs.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:title>Zusammenfassung</jats:title><jats:p>Jegliche Art von Emotionen im Sport spielen vor allem in Wettkampfsituationen eine bedeutende Rolle, wenn es darum geht, zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt die optimale Leistung abzurufen. Emotionen können Auswirkungen auf der physiologischen, perzeptuell-kognitiven oder behavioralen Ebenen haben. Daher bildet den Schwerpunkt des vorliegenden Scoping-Reviews, die Untersuchung der Bedeutung wettkampfbezogener (state) Emotionen von Sporttreibenden. Die Literaturrecherche ergab 1126 Arbeiten, aus denen 15 Studien die Einschlusskriterien erfüllten. Diese wurden hinsichtlich ihrer Themenschwerpunkte betrachtet: 1) Emotionen, Kognitionen und Angst; 2) Emotionen, Leistungsbeurteilung und Stress; 3) Emotionen und Leistungsziele; 4) Unterschiede emotionaler Ausprägung im Geschlecht und Leistungsniveau; 5) Einfluss von Kausalzuschreibungen auf die Emotionen. Anschließend wurden die in den vorgestellten Studien verwendeten emotionserfassenden Messinstrumente betrachtet und vorgestellt. Zusammengefasst erscheint die Erfassung wettkampfbezogener (state) Emotionen rund um das sportliche Geschehen (vor, während, danach) ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der angewandten Sportpsychologie, davon abgeleiteter Emotionsregulationsstrategien und somit der optimalen Leistungserbringung zu sein, auch wenn der (deutschsprachigen) sportpsychologischen Praxis bisher nur begrenzte validierte Messinstrumente vorliegen.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:p> Abstract. In several kinds of sports, deceptive actions are used to hinder the anticipation performance of an opponent. During a head fake in basketball, a player turns the head to one side but passes the ball to the other side. A pass with a head fake generates a head-fake effect in the observer, which is characterized by slower and more error-prone responses to the pass direction as compared to passes without a head fake. Whereas the head-fake effect has been replicated several times, the question of its origin with dynamic stimuli has not been answered yet. The present study includes four experiments, which are conducted to examine the perceptual-cognitive mechanism underlying the effect by using the model of dimensional overlap ( Kornblum et al., 1990 ) and the additive factors logic ( Sternberg, 1969 ). Results point to multiple processes contributing to the head-fake effect for dynamic stimuli, which operate not only at a perceptual level but also at a level of response selection. </jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:p>The development of motor competencies is necessary for participation in the culture of sport, exercise, and physical activity, which in turn supports the development of a healthy lifestyle. A lack of physical activity in childhood and deficits in motor performance emphasize the relevance of interventions for promoting basic motor competencies. However, there are research desiderata with regard to such interventions. This article describes an intervention program for promoting basic motor competencies in middle childhood (around 6 to 10 years of age). The intervention was investigated in a longitudinal study from June 2019 to January 2020 (n = 200; 58% girls, M = 8.84 years, SD = 0.63) at three primary schools. The intervention was conducted once a week in physical education (PE). The comparison group participated in regular PE. The intervention showed significant effects on basic motor competencies in object movement but not in self-movement. The results demonstrate that positive effects on basic motor competencies can be achieved with the help of a relatively simple intervention. Further longitudinal studies are desirable as a means of substantiating the results and developing evidence-based concepts to support children in their development in the best possible way.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Recent developments in automotive and aircraft industry towards a multi-material design pose challenges for modern joining technologies due to different mechanical properties and material compositions of various materials such as composites and metals. Therefore, mechanical joining technologies like clinching are in the focus of current research activities. For multi-material joints of metals and thermoplastic composites thermally assisted clinching processes with advanced tool concepts are well developed. The material-specific properties of fibre-reinforced thermoplastics have a significant influence on the joining process and the resulting material structure in the joining zone. For this reason, it is important to investigate these influences in detail and to understand the phenomena occurring during the joining process. Additionally, this provides the basis for a validation of a numerical simulation of such joining processes. In this paper, the material structure in a joint resulting from a thermally assisted clinching process is investigated. The joining partners are an aluminium sheet and a thermoplastic composite (organo sheet). Using computed tomography enables a three-dimensional investigation that allows a detailed analysis of the phenomena in different joining stages and in the material structure of the finished joint. Consequently, this study provides a more detailed understanding of the material behavior of thermoplastic composites during thermally assisted clinching.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{Artificial conversational agents are becoming increasingly popular in various spheres of life. Contemporary AI is able to talk to humans using sophis­ticated conversational techniques and human-like conversational patterns. For instance, Google Duplex, a cutting-edge voice interface, is capable of autonomously making customer service calls that barely register as robotic. With the frequency of human-computer interactions on the rise, there is a growing need to study their features: how misunderstandings are resolved, how conversational aims are achieved. This article is an empirical investigation of the interaction between an advanced conver­sational agent and human interactant. Using the framework of ethnomethodology and conversation analysis, the authors analyze the procedurally unfolding and naturally emerging conversational practices, as well as the normative structures that emerge as a result. The research is based on a recording of a call between Google Duplex and a human operator. We explore how to reach conversational closing — a microstructure that requires cooperation between the speakers. Despite interactional tensions caused by the robot’s incongruous prosody, conversational closing is produced by the gradual achievement of epistemic balance. The authors empha­size the relationship between the institu­tional context of the interaction and the non-human agent’s robotic nature. The results serve as a foundation for future studies in human-robot interaction and provide a deeper understanding of how conversational closings are achieved in liminal cases.}},

  abstract     = {{The field of human-computer interaction (HCI) investigates the intersection between the design of devices and users. From an early focus on interaction modeling based on psychological experiments, the field has since experienced a shift towards the study of how actual humans interact with autonomous devices. The field became conductive to ethnographic, observational and videographic studies of human-device interaction. Conversation-analytic HCI became possible. That said, this new wave of researchers was never truly able to dethrone the psychological common sense of the field. With recent developments in both the technical-sensorial capabilities and outward actuational range of embodied virtual agents, the field of HCI has once again returned to the question of the sequential unfolding of the interaction between users and intelligent agents, and the multimodal interactional repertoire that is deployed throughout. This review will highlight the situational orientation of high-impact research in the field, and relate it to the cotemporaneous development of ethnomethodological and conversation analytic frameworks.

  abstract     = {{We demonstrate an optical arbitrary waveform measurement (OAWM) system that exploits a bank of silicon photonic (SiP) frequency-tunable coupled-resonator optical waveguide (CROW) filters for gapless spectral slicing of broadband optical signals. The spectral slices are coherently detected using a frequency comb as a multi-wavelength local oscillator (LO) and stitched together by digital signal processing (DSP). For high-quality signal reconstruction, we have implemented a maximum-ratio combining (MRC) technique based on precise calibration of the complex-valued opto-electronic transfer functions of all detection paths. In a proof-of-concept experiment, we demonstrate the viability of the scheme by implementing a four-channel system that offers an overall detection bandwidth of 140 GHz. Exploiting a femtosecond laser with precisely known pulse shape for calibration along with dynamic amplitude and phase estimation, we reconstruct 100 GBd QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM optical data signals. The reconstructed signals show improved quality compared to that obtained with a single high-speed intradyne receiver, while the electronic bandwidth requirements of the individual coherent receivers are greatly reduced.}},
