text: Home literacy environment (HLE) makes an important contribution to children's
reading acquisition in early years. Even though some research on children's perception
exists, children's reports about HLE have been neglected. The present study focuses
on N = 281 six-year-old's reports about HLE and its influences on literacy enjoyment,
frequency, and early literacy skills. Parents' educational background was expected
to predict children-perceived HLE. A positive impact of active HLE on literacy
enjoyment and frequency were found. HLE also mediates the relation between parents'
background and enjoyment. The importance of children's perspective on HLE regarding
family literacy programs is discussed.

text: Tire-wheel assembly is the only connection between road and vehicle. Contacting
directly with road within postcard size of contact area, it is mounted and guided
by the suspension system. Therefore kinematics and compliances of suspension system
greatly influence the frictional coupling of tire tread elements and road surface
asperities by affecting pressure and sliding velocity distribution in the contact
zone. This study emphasizes the development of a numerical methodology for frictional
rolling contact analysis with focus on interaction of suspension system dynamics
and tire-road contact using ADAMS. For this purpose a comprehensive flexible multibody
system of the multi-link rear suspension is established, where both flexible and
rigid bodies are modeled to allow large displacements with included elastic effects.
To meet accuracy requirements for the high frequency applications, such as road
excitations, the amplitude- and frequency-dependency of rubber-metal bushings
is included. Furthermore the proposed flexible viscoelastic suspension model is
enhanced by a Flexible Ring Tire Model (FTire), which describes a 3D tire dynamic
response and covers any road excitations by tread submodel connected to road surface
model. Concerning the verification and validation procedure numerous experiments
are carried out to confirm the validity and the accuracy of both the developed
submodels and the entire model. The devised approach makes it possible to investigate
the influence of suspension system design on dynamical rolling contact and to
evaluate tire tread wear. Therefore it can be a useful tool to predict frictional
power distribution within the contact area under more realistic conditions.

text:
The goal of argumentation mining, an evolving research field in computational
linguistics, is to design methods capable of analyzing people's argumentation.
In this article, we go beyond the state of the art in several ways. (i) We deal
with actual Web data and take up the challenges given by the variety of registers,
multiple domains, and unrestricted noisy user-generated Web discourse. (ii) We
bridge the gap between normative argumentation theories and argumentation phenomena
encountered in actual data by adapting an argumentation model tested in an extensive
annotation study. (iii) We create a new gold standard corpus (90k tokens in 340
documents) and experiment with several machine learning methods to identify argument
components. We offer the data, source codes, and annotation guidelines to the
community under free licenses. Our findings show that argumentation mining in
user-generated Web discourse is a feasible but challenging task.

text:
Factorial surveys (FSs) integrate elements of survey research and
classical experiments. Using a large number of respondents in a controlled setting,
FSs approximate complex and realistic judgment situations through so-called vignettes—that
is, carefully designed descriptions of hypothetical people, social situations,
or scenarios. Despite being rooted, and predominantly applied, in sociology, FSs
are particularly promising for business and society (B&S) scholars. Given
the multiplicity, inherent complexity, and sometimes fuzziness of B&S research
objects, conventional research methods inevitably reach their limits. This article,
therefore, systematically presents methodological and thematic opportunities for
FS studies in B&S research. It is argued that FSs are well suited to dealing
with the complex interplay of societal-, organizational-, and individual-level
factors in B&S research and to studying the principles underlying human perceptions,
attitudes, values, social norms, and (anticipated) behavior. The application of
the FS method is illustrated based on a showcase example in the realm of socially
responsible investments (SRIs). As the literature on the conceptualization of
FSs is limited, methodological challenges are addressed to guide B&S researchers
past the common methodological pitfalls.

komplexen Fragestellung, da mit dem Bezug extern erbrachter Personaldienstleistungen
