However, many self-assembled structures by NPs are irreversible, because they are generally constructed using their suspensions. It is still challenging for NPs to reversibly self-assemble in dry state, let alone of polymeric NPs with general sizes of hundreds of nm. Herein, this study reports a new reversible self-assembly phenomenon of NPs in dry state, forming thermoreversible strip-like supermolecular structures. These novel NPs of around 150 nm are perfluorinated surface-undecenoated cellulose nanoparticles (FSU-CNPs) with a core-coronas structure. The thermoreversible self-assembled structure is formed after drying in the air at the interface between FSU-CNP films and Teflon substrates. Remarkably, the formation and dissociation of this assembled structure are accompanied by a reversible conversion of the surface hydrophobicity, film transparency, and anisotropic properties. These findings show novel feasibility of reversible self-assembly of NPs in dry state, and thereby expand our knowledge of self-assembly phenomenon."}],"extern":"1"},{"page":"1-7","_id":"10673","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"user_id":"3118","doi":"10.1109/AHS.2015.7231178","status":"public","year":"2015","title":"Microarchitectural optimization by means of reconfigurable and evolvable cache mappings","author":[{"first_name":"Nam","last_name":"Ho","full_name":"Ho, Nam"},{"first_name":"Abdullah Fathi","last_name":"Ahmed","full_name":"Ahmed, Abdullah Fathi"},{"full_name":"Kaufmann, Paul","first_name":"Paul","last_name":"Kaufmann"},{"id":"398","first_name":"Marco","last_name":"Platzner","full_name":"Platzner, Marco"}],"date_updated":"2022-01-06T06:50:49Z","date_created":"2019-07-10T11:18:00Z","type":"conference","keyword":["cache storage","field programmable gate arrays","multiprocessing systems","parallel architectures","reconfigurable architectures","FPGA","dynamic reconfiguration","evolvable cache mapping","many-core architecture","memory-to-cache address mapping function","microarchitectural optimization","multicore architecture","nature-inspired optimization","parallelization degrees","processor","reconfigurable cache mapping","reconfigurable computing","Field programmable gate arrays","Software","Tuning"],"department":[{"_id":"78"}],"publication":"Proc. From the system level point of view, Dynamic Power Management (DPM) and Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS) are two mostly applied techniques to adjust the tradeoff between the performance and power dissipation at runtime. In this paper, we study the problem of combined application of both techniques with regard to hard real-time systems running on cluster-based multi-core processors. To optimize the processor energy consumption, a heuristic based on simulated annealing with efficient termination criterion is proposed. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing approaches in terms of the energy reduction.
