text: "At Paderborn University, an AR-based app is being developed to prepare electrical
engineering students for laboratory work. This paper aims to review the development
of AR since 2010, particularly in technical university laboratories, through a
systematic literature review. The study investigates AR's relevance in university
teaching and examines specific AR applications in laboratory settings.\r\nUsing
a mixed-method approach, the research first employs a web crawler to gather 27,249
articles from the Lens database, followed by a bibliometric analysis. Further,
Google Scholar is used to find 374 articles related to AR in scientific and technical
laboratories, with 51 significant ones evaluated for application areas, findings,
and other criteria.\r\nThe findings show that AR in education is a growing trend,
with a significant increase in publications and citations in recent years. Most
studies focus on marker-based mobile AR applications, assessing aspects like motivation
and user experience through surveys and interviews. However, there's limited research
on AR's learning effectiveness in laboratories, partly due to the scarcity of
technical equipment. One study found no significant learning impact from AR."

text: Knowledge management is essential for successful disaster management. This
paper conducts a Systematic Literature Review at the intersection of the knowledge
management field and disaster management and examines the available body of literature.
Fire departments are chosen as the focus group as they are the most prevalent
emergency services. There are many publications that deal with knowledge management
during the response phase of an emergency. Often, the literature focuses on the
application of knowledge management in large-scale disasters to link the various
organizations on-scene. What is missing in most approaches is a prior step of
implementing and training the knowledge management system. Therefore, this literature
review seeks to provide an overview of approaches for daily routines and small-to-medium
incidents that serve as a training ground. However, literature on non-incident
phases and smaller incidents is scarce. As information technologies are developing
rapidly, there is no modern and recent description of the current use of knowledge
management solutions in this area.

text:
In the past decades, the notion of voice in the theorizing and teaching
of academic writing has been the subject of much debate and conceptual change,
especially concerning its relation to writer identity. Many newer accounts of
voice and identity in academic writing draw on the dialogical concept of voice
by Bakhtin. However, some theoretical and methodological inconsistencies have
surfaced in the adaptions of the concept. Working from a refinement of the dialogical
notion of voice based on the concepts of polyphony and interiorization, this article
presents a methodological approach for analyzing voice(s) in writing. The article
presents material around the evolution of an early-career researcher’s dissertation
synopsis. The material is multilayered, including the writer’s text, transcripts
from an interdisciplinary peer-feedback conversation with two colleagues, and
a video-stimulated interview with the writer. Excerpts of the material were analyzed
to trace the polyphony of interiorized voices that influenced the writing. This
focus revealed the multivoicedness of academic texts as an effect of their history
of coming into being. This article contributes to the question of voice and identity
in academic writing from a dialogical psycholinguistic perspective by presenting
a de-reifying notion of voice grounded in an understanding of writing as a polyphonic
activity, which also feeds into the formation of a writer’s self.

text: The article shows using the examples of the novels GRM. Brainfuck by Sibylle
Berg and Quality-Land by Marc-Uwe Kling how concepts of diversity can turn into
normative ideas about groups. Diversity as a positively valued descriptive category
of societies aims to influence ideas about the normality of language and the cultural
composition of societies. However, algorithmic systems based on artificial intelligence
in particular can contribute to the separation of constructed groups. Quite contrary
to the goals of an open and pluralistic society, ruptures in social groups can
be strengthened in this way.

text: Since historical times, cartographic maps have revealed spatial relations
and enabled decisions and processes. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) allow
for acquisition, management, analysis, and presentation of geospatial objects.
With free geospatial data becoming available through open data policies and an
increasing amount of digitally connected objects in the Internet of Things (IoT),
GIS are becoming indispensable to Information Systems (IS) research. However,
the consideration and relevance of GIS has only been investigated rarely. We examine,
how and in which fields of application GIS have been studied in the IS literature
and elicit the importance of GIS regarding their design and usage. A systematic
literature review leads us to develop four research propositions. Our results
indicate that GIS are still an undeservedly underrepresented discipline in IS
and should be more theorized, put center-stage in design-oriented research, and
considered for creating superior value co-creation in service systems.

way into the manufacturing sector, there exist many possibilities for an application
of AI in order to assist in solving aforementioned tasks. In this work, we provide
a comprehensive overview of the current state of the art of the use of AI in PC.
\r\nIn detail, we analyze 40 existing surveys on AI in PC and 94 case studies
in order to find out which areas of PC are primarily addressed by current research
in this field, how mature the discussed AI methods are, and to which extent data-centric
approaches are utilized in current research."

text: Review papers are essential for knowledge development in IS. While some are
cited twice a day, others accumulate single digit citations over a decade. The
magnitude of these differences prompts us to analyze what distinguishes those
reviews that have proven to be integral to scientific progress from those that
might be considered less impactful. Our results highlight differences between
reviews aimed at describing, understanding, explaining, and theory testing. Beyond
the control variables, they demonstrate the importance of methodological transparency
and the development of research agendas. These insights inform all stakeholders
involved in the development and publication of review papers.

text: Understanding a new literature corpus can be a grueling experience for junior
scholars. Nevertheless, corresponding guidelines have not been updated for decades.
We contend that the traditional strategy of skimming all papers and reading selected
papers afterwards needs to be revised. Therefore, we design a new strategy that
guides the overall exploratory process by prioritizing influential papers for
initial reading, followed by skimming the remaining papers. Consistent with schemata
theory, starting with in-depth reading allows readers to acquire more substantial
prior content schemata, which are representa-tive for the literature corpus and
useful in the following skimming process. To this end, we develop a prototype
that identifies the influential papers from a set of PDFs, which is illustrated
in a case study in the IT business value domain. With the new strategy, we envision
a more efficient process of exploring unknown literature corpora.

text: "Literature reviews (LRs) play an important role in the development of domain
knowledge in all fields. Yet, we observe a\r\nlack of insights into the activities
with which LRs actually develop knowledge. To address this important gap, we (1)\r\nderive
knowledge building activities from the extant literature on LRs, (2) suggest a
knowledge-based typology of LRs\r\nthat complements existing typologies, and (3)
apply the suggested typology in an empirical study that explores how LRs\r\nwith
different goals and methodologies have contributed to knowledge development. The
analysis of 240 LRs published\r\nin 40 renowned IS journals between 2000 and 2014
allows us to draw a detailed picture of knowledge development\r\nachieved by one
of the most important genres in the IS field. An overarching contribution of our
work is to unify extant\r\nconceptualizations of LRs by clarifying and illustrating
how LRs apply different methodologies in a range of knowledge\r\nbuilding activities
to achieve their goals with respect to theory."

text: "The aim of this study was to find out whether teaching how to search for
literature\r\nwould be more beneficial to students and teachers if done online
through short videos\r\nrather than in person during course time. To find out
whether online videos are more\r\nbeneficial, two courses were asked to fill in
questionnaires, one at the beginning and\r\none at the end of the semester. One
of the courses received the input online via videos\r\nand were given an exercise
to put the newly learned skills to use, the other course\r\nserved as a control
group and learned how to search for literature during the course.\r\nThe results
show that while the difference between the two groups is not significant,\r\nthe
videos can still be regarded as being more beneficial than teaching the necessary\r\nskills
during course time."

text: 'The proportion of freshmen enrolled in dual study programmes has steadily
increased in recent years. From the perspective of potential students, these programmes
are highly attractive because they combine types of learning that used to be largely
separate at an institutional level: vocational and academic learning. In training-integrated
dual study programmes, different institutional contexts, governance regimes, teaching
styles and learning environments make bridging these two worlds of learning a
challenge for both educators and learners. However, these programmes also allow
leeway for didactic innovation, through the cooperation of different types of
educational institutions and through new ways of using available didactic methods,
and for establishing a new relationship between higher education (HE) and vocational
education and training (VET). This paper positions training-integrated dual study
programmes as an object of design-based research (DBR). By developing and using
an extended model for the pedagogic development of HEIs, “pädagogische Hochschulentwicklung”
(Brahm, Jenert, & Euler, 2016a, p. 19; Euler, 2013, p. 360), the paper systematically
identifies generic educational problems in these hybrids. Based on a literature
review, this paper classifies and explains the design challenges at the level
of the learning environment, the study programme and the organisation. The challenges
revolve mainly around the cooperation and integration of HE and VET. The paper
concludes with an outlook on future DBR projects designing dual studies.'

text:
The article analyzes how an emerging form of automation may drastically
transform contemporary employment dynamics. Recent breakthroughs in the field
of artificial intelligence (AI) make it possible to automate both manual and mental
non-standard tasks. The first part of the article traces the development of AI.
Whereas classical algorithms required the creation of a hermetic environment for
AI to thrive, modern neural network-based AI is capable of surviving in the chaotic
realm occupied by humans. Based on an analysis of changes in the nature of AI,
the authors distinguish between substitutive and supplemental automation. The
former refers to a complete replacement of humans by machines, while the latter
indicates a selective substitution of humans in specific professional functions.
In order to conceptualize professions as a nexus of automatable components, the
authors employ Goffman’s dramaturgical framework. Goffman studied the social visibility
of professional activity. Goffman held that any profession can be divided into
invisible routines that are fundamental to it and a dramatization that makes the
profession socially visible. The article demonstrates that the current utopian
and antiutopian views of automation both reduce work to its visible components
and neglect the logic of supplemental automation. The authors argue that the targets
of modern automation are not the socially visible components but the invisible
routines. In the final section, the authors develop a model that takes these invisible
professional routines into account and analyze what effect this new type of automation
may have on different types of professions with differing degrees of social visibility.

text: "Although many methods have been proposed for engineering services and customer
\ solutions, most of these approaches give little consideration to recombinant
service innovation. In an age of smart products and \r\nsmart data, we can, however,
expect that many of future service innovations need to be based on adding, transferring,
\ dissociating, and associating existing value propositions. The purpose
\ of this paper is to outline what properties constitute recombinant
service innovation and to identify if current service engineering approaches fulfill
\r\nthese properties. Based on a conceptual in-depth analysis of
\ 24 service engineering methods, we identify that most methods focus
\ on designing value propositions instead of service systems, view service
\ independent of physical goods, are linear or iterative, and incompletely
\ address the mechanisms of recombinant innovation. We discuss how these deficiencies
can be remedied and propose a first conceptual model of a revised se\r\nrvice
\ system engineering approach."

text: 'Literature reviews (LRs) are recognized for their increasing impact in the
information systems literature. Methodologists have drawn attention to the question
of how we can leverage the value of LRs to preserve and generate knowledge. The
panelists who participated in the discussion of ?Standalone Literature Reviews
in IS Research: What Can Be Learnt from the Past and Other Fields?? at ICIS 2016
in Dublin acknowledged this significant issue and debated a) what the IS field
can learn from other fields and where IS-specific challenges occur, b) how the
IS field should move forward to foster the genre of LRs, and c) what best practices
are to train doctoral IS students in publishing LRs. This article reports the
key takeaways of this panel discussion. Guidance for IS scholars is provided on
how to conduct LRs that contribute to the cumulative knowledge development within
and across the IS field to best prepare the next generation of IS scholars.'

text: "
Abstract
\r\n
In this paper,
the contractions shoulda, coulda, woulda are compared
with their respective full forms should have, would
have, and could have. Although the full
forms are used much more frequently and are, therefore, considered canonical,
the non-canonical forms have increased in frequency throughout the better part
of the twentieth century. They are predominantly used in American English – in
conversation as well as in fictional writing to imitate speech. With respect to
their syntactic environment, shoulda, coulda, and woulda
behave differently than their full counterparts since they are often used without
subjects and without lexical verbs. Some of these uses can be explained by the
fact that shoulda, coulda, and woulda
are not always used as verbal items but also as nouns, adjectives, and interjections.
Due to their overall low frequency and their restriction to a particular register,
however, it appears they will keep their non-canonical status for the foreseeable
future.
"
