  abstract     = {{<jats:p>Stimulated by the renewed interest and recent developments in semiempirical quantum chemical (SQC) methods for noncovalent interactions, we examine the properties of liquid water under ambient conditions by means of molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, both with the conventional neglect of diatomic differential overlap-type methods, e.g., AM1 and PM6, and with DFTB-type (density-functional tight-binding) methods, e.g., DFTB2 and GFN-xTB (Geometry-Frequency-Noncovalent eXtended Tight-Binding). Besides the original parameter sets, some specifically reparameterized SQC methods (denoted as AM1-W, PM6-fm, and DFTB2-iBi) targeting various smaller water systems ranging from molecular clusters to bulk are considered as well. The quality of these different SQC methods for describing liquid water properties under ambient conditions is assessed by comparison with well-established experimental data and also with BLYP-D3 density functional theory-based ab initio MD simulations. Our analyses reveal that static and dynamic properties of bulk water are poorly described by all considered SQC methods with the original parameters, regardless of the underlying theoretical models, with most of the methods suffering from too weak hydrogen bonds and hence predicting a far too fluid water with highly distorted hydrogen bond kinetics. Meanwhile, the reparameterized force-matched PM6-fm method is shown to be able to quantitatively reproduce the static and dynamic features of liquid water and thus can be used as a computationally efficient alternative to electronic structure-based MD simulations for liquid water that requires extended length and time scales. DFTB2-iBi predicts a slightly overstructured water with reduced fluidity, whereas AM1-W gives an amorphous ice-like structure for water under ambient conditions.</jats:p>}},

  abstract     = {{The Circular Economy is considered a key approach to addressing resource scarcity, rising raw material prices, and the need for more resilient value chains. However, its practical implementation is often hindered by the lack of suitable and standardized metrics, as well as by high requirements for horizontal and vertical data integration. This white paper illustrates, through selected Manufacturing-X projects, how federated data ecosystems can help establish Circular Economy metrics as an effective management instrument for growth, margin protection, and resilience.
Based on literature, industrial practice, and demonstrators, Circular Economy metrics are structured into four groups: overarching assessment approaches, disassembly-related indicators, lifetime-oriented metrics, and end-of-life and recycling-focused indicators. Use cases from Construct-X, Decide4ECO, Fluid 4.0, Chem-X, and other Manufacturing-X initiatives demonstrate the benefits of data-driven approaches for product, component, and material loops. At the same time, they reveal a current lack of interoperable, cross-industry standards for both metrics and data models.
The white paper concludes that data ecosystems such as Manufacturing-X are a key enabler for scaling circular business models. In particular, shared cross-sector frameworks for metrics, standardized information models based for example on the Asset Administration Shell, and the integration of circular metrics into existing systems and processes are essential. The work presented therefore marks an important step toward a data-driven and economically viable Circular Economy.}},

  abstract     = {{Scalable plasmonic technologies face a critical trade‐off: few‐body architectures offer high enhancement but are sensitive to fabrication flaws, while scalable methods like solid‐state dewetting yield large, low‐enhancement gaps. We introduce a paradigm shift using a many‐body plasmonic architecture inspired by statistical mechanics. By moving toward the continuum limit, local geometric variations are statistically averaged out, effectively decoupling optical performance from microscopic disorder. We implement this concept via a lithography‐ and etching‐free, multi‐step dewetting strategy, creating wafer‐scale nanoclusters. This process strategically forms a robust many‐body system by introducing numerous small satellite nanoparticles between larger particles. Crucially, this design achieves a high collective enhancement that surpasses even optimized few‐body systems, despite having larger individual gaps. Under optimized conditions, these substrates exhibit a surface‐enhanced Raman scattering enhancement factor approaching 4 × 10^8 with unprecedented reproducibility (RSD of ∼10%). This scalable, low‐cost concept establishes a practical route toward reproducible wafer‐scale nanophotonic platforms for sensing, spectroscopy, and quantum technologies.}},

By modeling all signal and noise contributions to the measurement, we derive a single numerical value that describes the sensitivity of the ETPA measurement in Göppert-Mayer units.   abstract     = {{Manufacturing companies increasingly integrate the strive towards sustainability into product engineering to reduce resource consumption and environmental impacts. A substantial share of a product’s environmental performance is determined during engineering. Early assessments rely on generic data, which is gradually replaced by more concrete simulation and primary data as product maturity increases. The effective use of engineering simulation models for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) therefore remains a central challenge under heterogeneous, distributed and rapidly evolving data. This article presents a systematic review of product engineering approaches for integrating simulation models into LCA. A seven-step research approach is applied to identify, categorize and evaluate existing approaches across CAx tools. Relevant simulation parameters for sustainability assessment, including material properties, process descriptors, consumables and waste streams, are identified and analyzed. Based on identified data characteristics, the potential of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence methods for LCA data preparation is assessed. A conceptual knowledge-graph-based decision support approach is derived to enable structured integration, traceability and reuse of simulation data for sustainability assessment. The approach is evaluated using criteria from literature. Structured integration of simulation data improves early-stage data quality and supports decision-making in sustainable product engineering.}},

  abstract     = {{Design for Assembly, Disassembly and Reassembly (DfADR) prepares for high levels of material circularity in terms of repair and remanufacturing. The intention of reassembling products and their part simplies that inspection and sorting need to be integrated with value-conserving objectives. Further, disassembly and reassembly require higher competence levels of workforce than assembly. To provide the required information during engineering, a metadata model (MDM) is required that links established product models to capability models. Since processes to be carried out for realizing a product largely determine required employees’ capabilities, the proposed approach uses the ADR process domain to connect product and capability domains. The research is based on a systematic literature analysis to identify existing approaches regarding MDMs of ADR processes. Based on the results, an integrative MDM is developed that answers defined competence questions. The model enables queries which support engineers by feedback on which skills are required for a product. This builds up a basis to check whether required skills are available in the manufacturing company, either early in product engineering or later in ADR planning.}},

  abstract     = {{This article examines the most frequently attributed statement of Jesus in the Qur’an, namely, ‘God is my Lord and your Lord’ (Q 19:36; Q 43:64; Q 3:51; Q 5:72; Q 5:117). It investigates the extent to which this formula is connected to Jesus’s words to Mary Magdalene on Easter morning in John 20:17. The analysis aims to show that the Qur’an critically engages with the Christian interpretive tradition surrounding this statement as recorded in John’s Gospel and adapts it – both contextually and verbally – within its own theological framework. As in the Christian tradition, this Qur’anic engagement also generates a broader discourse on the hermeneutics of scriptural interpretation.}},

  abstract     = {{In dieser Dissertation werden Aspekte von high-gain multimode SU(1,1) Interferometer theoretisch untersucht. Dabei wird der Prozess der parametrischen Fluoreszenz (PDC) mithilfe von Integro-Differentialgleichungen modelliert, welche die räumliche Entwicklung der Ebene-Wellen-Operatoren beschreiben. Es wurde gezeigt, dass Supersensitivität für die Phasenempfindlichkeit dieser Interferometer erreicht werden kann, sofern die Beugung der PDC Strahlung kompensiert wird. Weiterhin führt eine Erhöhung der parametrische Verstärkung und eine Reduktion der Schmidt-Zahl zu einer Verbesserung der Phasenempfindlichkeit und einer Verkleinerung des Phasenbereiches, über den die Supersensitivität erreicht werden kann. Basierend auf der Struktur der Schmidt-Moden von SU(1,1) Interferometern wurde ein numerisches Aufbereitungsverfahren konstruiert, welches die Messung der Stärke des Squeezing und Anti-Squeezing des Zustandes ermöglicht, der durch den ersten Kristall des Interferometers erzeugt wird. Das Verfahren wurde experimentell von Kooperationspartnern angewandt, wobei eine gute Übereinstimmung mit der Theorie festgestellt wurde. Zuletzt wurden SU(1,1) Interferometer mit Laguerre-Gauß-Moden als Pump-Strahlung für die Messung von Winkelverschiebungen untersucht. Es zeigte sich, dass sich die quantenmechanisch bedingte Messunsicherheit verbessert, wenn die parametrische Verstärkung oder die Indizes der Pump-Mode erhöht werden. Das generelle Verhalten gleicht dem der Phasensensitivität.}},

  abstract     = {{Due to their devastating consequences, so-called century floods attract significant public attention and are therefore covered in nationwide media. In journalistic reporting, numerous conceptual metaphors are used to conceptualise such extreme weather events. This linguistic study investigates how the century flood that occurred in southern Germany in late May and early June 2024 was metaphorically conceptualised in nationwide online journalism by identifying patterns of metaphorical conceptualisation. The analysis draws on the foundations of Conceptual Metaphor Theory as proposed by Lakoff and Johnson (1980), refined through the graded distinction of schematicity levels in conceptual structure proposed in Kövecses (2017, 2020, 2022) Extended Conceptual Metaphor Theory. Accordingly, metaphors are understood as schematically distinguishable mappings of conceptual aspects from source to target areas, through which particular actions are constituted. Adopting a mixed-methods approach that integrates manual with (semi-)automatic analytical procedures, the study reveals that the century flood is predominantly conceptualised through the highly schematic metaphor ZEIT IST SUBSTANZ (›time is substance‹), the less schematic metaphor NATURKATASTROPHEN SIND PERSONEN (›natural disasters are persons‹), and a set of least schematic, elaborating metaphors, namely HOCHWASSER IST GEGNER (›flood is an opponent‹), HOCHWASSER IST ZERSTÖRER (›flood is a destroyer‹) and HOCHWASSER IST MÖRDER (›flood is a murderer‹). From an ecolinguistic perspective, the study critically reflects on how these metaphorical conceptualisations obscure human co-responsibility for the intensity of extreme flood events.}},

  abstract     = {{Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, ob die Merkmale guter inklusiver Schulen – verstanden als Schulentwicklungsinstrument – mit der Arbeitszufriedenheit und den Selbstwirksamkeitsüberzeugungen von Lehrkräften in inklusiven Gesamt- und Sekundarschulen zusammenhängen. Dazu werden Daten aus dem BMBF-geförderten Projekt BiFoKi (Bielefelder Fortbildungskonzept zur Kooperation in inklusiven Schulen) von N = 119 Lehrkräften analysiert. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Merkmale guter inklusiver Schulen einen großen Teil der Varianz in der Arbeitszufriedenheit aufklären. Die kollektive Selbstwirksamkeitsüberzeugung korreliert stark mit den Merk-malen guter inklusiver Schulen und der Arbeitszufriedenheit der Lehrkräfte. Für die individuelle inklusionsbezogene Selbstwirksamkeitsüberzeugung zeigen sich itemspezifische Befunde, die diskutiert werden. Implikationen für die schulische Praxis werden abgeleitet.}},

  abstract     = {{Models of Circular Economy introduce circularity strategies like reuse, repair or remanufacture. A significant level of complexity is added when these strategies are applied not only on integrated product level, but on lower levels of assemblies and parts. Therefore, approaches, like Design for Assembly, Disassembly and Reassembly (DfADR) become increasingly important including the consideration of ADR capabilities. To put DfADR into practice, it is necessary to structure ADR-related product data and make it usable for product engineers. For instance, assemblies resulting from disassembly might not be consistent with original assembly structures. Therefore, a Product Meta Data Model (MDM) is required to handle assembly-related data even when it has extreme characteristics. A literature review on related MDMs reveals a range of models for general product data and identifies a gap in consideration of assembly-related data. In an expert workshop, requirements are raised to evaluate existing models and develop ADR-related extensions. The MDM is conceptually modelled and validated by competence questions. The paper presents an approach that makes assembly-related data usable for hybrid decision support and enables engineers to think ahead of ADR processes.}},
