Most studies assume that agents have an accurate perception regarding their tax burden. However, there is a growing body of literature analyzing whether taxes are indeed perceived correctly. We review 128 studies on the measurement of tax misperception and its behavioral implications. The review reveals that many taxpayers have substantial tax misperceptions that lead to biased decision making. We develop a Behavioral Taxpayer Response Model on the impact of provided tax information on tax perception. Besides individual traits, characteristics of the tax information and the decision environment determine the extent of tax misperception. We discuss opportunities for future research and methodological limitations. While there is much evidence on tax misperception at the individual level, we hardly find any research at the firm level. Little is known about the real effects of managers’ tax misperception and on how tax information is strategically managed to impact stakeholders. This research gap is surprising as a large part of the accounting literature analyzes decision making and disclosure of firms. The former allows one to classify problems more\r\nfinely than the Polynomial-Time Hierarchy (PH), whereas the latter\r\ncharacterizes physically motivated problems such as Approximate Simulation\r\n(APX-SIM) [Ambainis, CCC 2014]. In this area, a central role has been played by\r\nthe classes $P^{NP[\\log]}$ and $P^{QMA[\\log]}$, defined identically to $P^{NP}$\r\nand $P^{QMA}$, except that only logarithmically many oracle queries are\r\nallowed. Here, [Gottlob, FOCS 1993] showed that if the adaptive queries made by\r\na $P^{NP}$ machine have a \"query graph\" which is a tree, then this computation\r\ncan be simulated in $P^{NP[\\log]}$.\r\n  In this work, we first show that for any verification class\r\n$C\\in\\{NP,MA,QCMA,QMA,QMA(2),NEXP,QMA_{\\exp}\\}$, any $P^C$ machine with a query\r\ngraph of \"separator number\" $s$ can be simulated using deterministic time\r\n$\\exp(s\\log n)$ and $s\\log n$ queries to a $C$-oracle. When $s\\in O(1)$ (which\r\nincludes the case of $O(1)$-treewidth, and thus also of trees), this gives an\r\nupper bound of $P^{C[\\log]}$, and when $s\\in O(\\log^k(n))$, this yields bound\r\n$QP^{C[\\log^{k+1}]}$ (QP meaning quasi-polynomial time). We next show how to\r\ncombine Gottlob's \"admissible-weighting function\" framework with the\r\n\"flag-qubit\" framework of [Watson, Bausch, Gharibian, 2020], obtaining a\r\nunified approach for embedding $P^C$ computations directly into APX-SIM\r\ninstances in a black-box fashion. Hence, this group of alloys is often used in the automotive sector. The challenge for this application is the brittle character of these alloys which leads to cracks during joint formation when mechanical joining technologies are used. A rise in ductility can be achieved by a considerable increase in the solidification rate which results in grain refinement. High solidification rates can be realized in twin–roll casting (TRC) by water-cooled rolls. Therefore, a hypoeutectic EN AC–AlSi9 (for European Norm - aluminum cast product) is manufactured by the TRC process and analyzed. Subsequently, joining investigations are performed on castings in as-cast and heat-treated condition using the self-piercing riveting process considering the joint formation and the load-bearing capacity. Due to the fine microstructure, the crack initiation can be avoided during joining, while maintaining the joining parameters, especially by specimens in heat treatment conditions. The present paper presents a constructed numerical test case to simulate galvanic corrosion of two dissimilar metals. This test case is used to study the accuracy of different implementations to track the dissolving anode boundary. One technique is to numerically simulate a mesh displacement based on the prescribed displacement at the anode boundary. The second method is to adjust only the boundary elements. Re-meshing after a certain number of time steps is applied to both implementations. They produce similar results for an electrical and electrochemical field problem. This work shows that mesh smoothing does not result in higher accuracy when modeling a moving anode front. In particular, the database contains information from documents published by German insolvency courts in period 2005- 2022. This research note first presents the insolvency process with steps and events of the process as determined by the Insolvency Law (InsO). Next, it classifies the documents to specific steps and events, and then presents their information content using textual analysis. Specifically, we identify target phrases via manual document checks and then create regular expressions for the target phrases. By combination of plasmonic nanostructures with 1L-WS2 by transferring it onto a plasmonic nanoantenna array, a hybrid metasurface is realized impacting the polarization dependency of its SHG. Here, we investigate how plasmonic dipole resonances affect the process of SHG in plasmonic–TMD hybrid metasurfaces by nonlinear spectroscopy. We show that the polarization dependency is affected by the lattice structure of plasmonic nanoantenna arrays as well as by the relative orientation between the 1L-WS2 and the individual plasmonic nanoantennas. In addition, such hybrid metasurfaces show SHG in polarization states, where SHG is usually forbidden for either 1L-WS2 or plasmonic nanoantennas. By comparing the SHG in these channels with the SHG generated by the hybrid metasurface components, we detect an enhancement of the SHG signal by a factor of more than 40. Meanwhile, an attenuation of the SHG signal in usually allowed polarization states is observed.
