Here, we present a systematic optical investigation of large‐scale 3D AuNP assemblies fabricated via meniscus‐guided assembly, focusing on the reproducibility, spatial uniformity, and mode evolution of their plasmonic responses. Spatially‐resolved dark‐field scattering measurements reveal that high‐aspect‐ratio AuNP pillars exhibit uniform scattering spectra along their height and across different pillars, despite variations in geometry and structure. Electromagnetic simulations suggest that this robustness arises from a collective many‐particle plasmonic response that remains optically active despite structural perturbations. The corresponding near‐field and surface‐charge distributions remain spatially distributed under representative structural perturbations, consistent with volumetric averaging across the three‐dimensional assembly. Building on this robust platform, we introduce compositional modulation through a core–satellite architecture by incorporating smaller AuNPs. This yields a composition‐dependent spectral redistribution, including the emergence of an additional long‐wavelength spectral feature in the core–satellite assemblies. Wavelength‐dependent surface‐enhanced Raman scattering measurements reveal contrasting responses under 633 and 785 nm excitation, reflecting redistribution of local plasmonic coupling pathways. These results provide process‐enabled guidelines for using meniscus‐guided 3D‐nanoprinting to realize robust nanoparticle assemblies.","lang":"eng"}],"_id":"66632","publisher":"Wiley","user_id":"30525","status":"public","oa":"1","citation":{"short":"V. Yet this infrastructure, often unnoticed by citizens, introduces pervasive privacy risks, from tracking, profiling, and sensitive inferences to subtle forms of self-censorship. Despite widespread deployment, little is known about how the public understands and perceives these sensing systems. To address this gap, we present an intervention based user study (n = 172) in which participants are exposed to data collection by six urban sensors, including cameras and alternative technologies commonly framed as privacy-preserving. Participants encounter either the sensors alone or sensors accompanied by real-time data visualizations. Our results reveal widespread misunderstanding of some sensors (radar, LiDAR, Wi-Fi, depth, and thermal imaging sensors), particularly their capacity for identification and for attribute inferences such as gender or age. We also identify persistent misconceptions, including the belief that Wi-Fi poses privacy risks only when users connect to public networks. While making sensors visible and visualizing collected data improves privacy awareness, these measures alone are not enough for citizens to understand the actual risks of urban sensing. We derive recommendations for privacy-respecting smart city environments grounded in citizens’ informational needs and expectations."}],"issue":"4","publication":"Proceedings on Privacy Enhancing Technologies","type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"679"}],"date_created":"2026-08-03T10:46:58Z","publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2026-08-03T10:49:58Z","intvolume":" 2026","year":"2026","title":"“The city isn’t uploading me to TikTok”: Exploring Privacy Attitudes towards Data Collection in Urban Public Spaces","author":[{"full_name":"Todt, Julian","last_name":"Todt","first_name":"Julian"},{"id":"46433","full_name":"Kablo, Emiram","last_name":"Kablo","first_name":"Emiram"},{"last_name":"Morsbach","first_name":"Felix","full_name":"Morsbach, Felix"},{"id":"92804","full_name":"Arias Cabarcos, Patricia","first_name":"Patricia","last_name":"Arias Cabarcos"},{"first_name":"Thorsten","last_name":"Strufe","full_name":"Strufe, Thorsten"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["2299-0984"]},"doi":"10.56553/popets-2026-0108","main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://petsymposium.org/popets/2026/popets-2026-0108.php"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}]},{"doi":"10.1080/17439884.2026.2708693","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/epdf/10.1080/17439884.2026.2708693?needAccess=true"}],"date_updated":"2026-08-03T07:06:53Z","publication_status":"published","author":[{"last_name":"Schmidt","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2516-359X","first_name":"Rebecca","full_name":"Schmidt, Rebecca","id":"94416"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["1743-9884","1743-9892"]},"title":"Inscription of power dynamics in platformized classrooms. As programmable digital architectures, they both shape and are shaped by teachers’ and students’ practices. Building on two Action Research projects in German schools, the article concentrates on the reproduction of inequality within platformized classrooms. It uses the focus point of translation software usage to explore inscriptions into digital architectures. Analysing breakdowns of translation software usage among students who speak German as a second/foreign language, the article focuses on inscribed power dynamics within translation software, the mismatch between students’ practices and the imagined user, and the discrepancy between software logics and the educational setting. Discussing teachers’ invisible work, care and belonging in platformized education settings, the article highlights the epistemic inscriptions within technology. It describes how dataveillance and testing break down when students use translation software, thereby highlighting teachers’ shift towards creating a collective understanding. To support the development of knowledge networks with undergraduate students of comparative literary and cultural studies, this project utilized portfolio work as a method of self-actuating and self-reflective learning suitable for motivating examinations of learning contents and contributing to students’ skill development. Using naturalistic observations of the portfolio work within the seminar, effects and developments were recorded. With partly quantitative, predominantly qualitative content analyses of the portfolios, concrete connections between learning contents were determined. The explorative study shows changed perspectives and peaked interests of the students because of portfolio work as well as diverse contextualisations, comparisons and connections in the portfolios, thus offering a possible starting point for structural recommendations for the discipline of comparative literary and cultural studies."}],"publication":"die hochschullehre: Interdisziplinäre Zeitschrift für Studium und Lehre","type":"journal_article","keyword":["Portfolioarbeit","portfolio work","vernetztes Wissen","knowledge networks","Beobachtung","naturalistic observation","Inhaltsanalyse","content analysis"],"department":[{"_id":"116"}],"date_created":"2025-09-29T12:34:48Z"},{"oa":"1","citation":{"mla":"Karsch, Manfred, et al. “Kurzfilme als Kommunikations-, Kompensations-, Diskurs- und Inter-/Intramedien. However, being susceptible toward hydrolysis, oxidation, non‑specific binding, and nuclease digestion, unmodified nucleic acids are rapidly degraded in vivo, resulting in poor therapeutic performance. Therefore, several stabilization strategies have been developed in order to protect those fragile molecules against adverse conditions during storage and in the body, while simultaneously accommodating their various mechanisms of action such as cellular uptake, target binding, or translation. These strategies include chemical modifications at the nucleoside level, complexation with proteins and polymers, and encapsulation in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). In the present study, participants viewed video sequences of a basketball player passing to the left or right, either with or without a head fake. In the buzzer task, participants moved laterally to press a response button as if to intercept the pass. In the vocal task, they verbally indicated pass direction. Reaction times (RTs), movement times (MTs), and medio-lateral center-of-pressure (CoP) displacements were recorded to investigate whether motor output is rapid and stimulus-driven or rather requires continuous integration of fake and pass cues. Further, we investigated whether the mere observation of a basketball player leads to overt micromovements even if no response movement is intended. The data analysis shows that head fakes increased RTs in both the buzzer and vocal tasks. In the buzzer task, head fakes induced an initial, small erroneous CoP shift, which was then rapidly corrected. When CoP trajectories were aligned by head orientation, fake and non-fake trajectories diverged shortly after movement onset. In the present dynamic sport-related context, this pattern is more compatible with the early integration of head and pass information than with a strictly sequential prime-target account, although the paradigm differs from classic Rapid Chase Theory designs with discrete primes and target events. In the vocal task, participants were not instructed to move, yet CoP traces showed tiny but systematically lateralized micromovements with a temporal structure resembling that in the buzzer task, albeit without an initial erroneous shift for head fakes. These postural fluctuations are consistent with action-observation-related motor activation, although they do not uniquely identify motor resonance and may also reflect attentional or generalized embodied response tendencies. A clear deceptive response conflict at the postural level emerged only when a lateralized action was prepared.
"}],"issue":"1","publication":"Scientific Reports"},{"publisher":"American Physical Society (APS)","_id":"66665","user_id":"55907","volume":8,"status":"public","oa":"1","citation":{"ama":"Scharwald D, Sharapova P. However, its multimode nature also makes it challenging to measure its properties. Recently [I. Barakat et al., Optica Quantum 3, 36 (2025)], a technique for the simultaneous measurement of squeezing of multiple broadband modes based on a phase-sensitive amplification approach was experimentally implemented using a setup that effectively corresponds to an SU(1,1) interferometer. Here, we aim to provide a complete theoretical analysis of the modal structure of (generally unbalanced) SU(1,1) interferometers and a detailed theoretical formal derivation of the framework for this technique. Utilizing the joint Schmidt decomposition of the transfer functions, we investigate the shape and phase profiles of the modes of the SU(1,1) interferometer and its components [parametric down-conversion (PDC) sections] for different parametric gain regimes. We discover a complicated interplay between the PDC modes and the modes of the entire interferometer, and analyze it by using their overlap coefficients as a similarity measure. Finally, we develop a rigorous processing method for the aforementioned multimode squeezing measurement technique and discuss necessary approximations to make this method experimentally feasible."}]},{"page":"18-33","main_file_link":[{"url":"Dehn, F. It investigates the extent to which this formula is connected to Jesus’s words to Mary Magdalene on Easter morning in John 20:17. The analysis aims to show that the Qur’an critically engages with the Christian interpretive tradition surrounding this statement as recorded in John’s Gospel and adapts it – both contextually and verbally – within its own theological framework. As in the Christian tradition, this Qur’anic engagement also generates a broader discourse on the hermeneutics of scriptural interpretation.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"Islam and Christian–Muslim Relations","doi":"10.1080/09596410.2026.2705056","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/epdf/10.1080/09596410.2026.2705056?needAccess=true"}],"date_updated":"2026-08-13T10:56:15Z","publication_status":"published","author":[{"first_name":"Zishan","last_name":"Ghaffar","full_name":"Ghaffar, Zishan"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["0959-6410","1469-9311"]},"year":"2026","title":"The Words of Jesus and Scriptural Hermeneutics in the Qur’an"},{"date_created":"2026-03-31T16:44:30Z","oa":"1","department":[{"_id":"136"}],"type":"journal_article","citation":{"bibtex":"@article{Fuchs_2026, title={Digitaler Faschismus und digitaler Kapitalismus}, volume={24}, number={1}, journal={tripleC: Communication, Capitalism & Critique}, author={Fuchs, Christian}, year={2026}, pages={141–199} }","ama":"Fuchs C. In this paper, we analyze the source code from this leak, focusing on Geedge Networks’ flagship product, the Tiangou Secure Gateway (TSG) firewall. Working across multiple repositories, we successfully build and run a local copy of TSG—revealing key aspects of its architecture, including the protocols it is capable of parsing and the format of blocking rules used to censor sites, proxies, and other resources. Finally, we extract several fingerprints from TSG, including custom random number generators and parsing idiosyncrasies that allow us to identify its use and similar deployments in the Great Firewall of China. This is the first time that the source code of a commercial DPI has been leaked, and our work is the first code analysis of a core firewall component used in national censorship infrastructure. This unprecedented investigation offers insights that can assist circumvention developers and Internet security researchers in further understanding the capabilities and limitations of modern censorship technology.","lang":"eng"}],"type":"conference","date_created":"2026-08-17T07:33:15Z","file":[{"file_id":"66727","content_type":"application/pdf","file_name":"usenixsecurity26-ablove.pdf","access_level":"local","file_size":1838094,"relation":"main_file","date_updated":"2026-08-17T07:39:32Z","date_created":"2026-08-17T07:31:02Z","creator":"nniklas"}],"date_updated":"2026-08-17T07:39:32Z","publication_status":"published","author":[{"last_name":"Ablove","first_name":"Anna","full_name":"Ablove, Anna"},{"first_name":"Johnnie","last_name":"Walker","full_name":"Walker, Johnnie"},{"last_name":"Wolin","first_name":"Ben","full_name":"Wolin, Ben"},{"id":"63563","first_name":"Niklas","last_name":"Niere","full_name":"Niere, Niklas"},{"id":"67893","full_name":"Graf Lange, Felix","first_name":"Felix","last_name":"Graf Lange"},{"last_name":"Ortwein","first_name":"Aaron","full_name":"Ortwein, Aaron"},{"full_name":"Huremagic, Armin","last_name":"Huremagic","first_name":"Armin"},{"first_name":"Richa","last_name":"Priyanka","full_name":"Priyanka, Richa"},{"last_name":"Zohaib","first_name":"Ali","full_name":"Zohaib, Ali"},{"first_name":"Jade","last_name":"Sheffey","full_name":"Sheffey, Jade"},{"full_name":"Heitmann, Nico","orcid":"0009-0003-7687-7044","last_name":"Heitmann","first_name":"Nico","id":"74619"},{"full_name":"Halderman, J.
