Such systems offer fine-grained anonymous access control and they give the credential holder the ability to issue more restricted credentials to other users. In our model, credentials are parameterized with attributes that (1) express what the credential holder himself has been certified and (2) define which attributes he may issue to others. Furthermore, we present a practical construction of DAAC. For this construction, we deviate from the usual approach of embedding a certificate chain in the credential. Instead, we introduce a novel approach for which we identify a new primitive we call dynamically malleable signatures (DMS) as the main ingredient. This primitive may be of independent interest. We also give a first instantiation of DMS with efficient protocols. The present article investigates a REM in the domain of reading performance in a sample of elementary students with special educational needs in learning (SEN-L) who received special educational support in exclusive versus inclusive settings (N = 446). In exclusive settings, SEN-L students attend special schools and are completely separated from regular students. By contrast, SEN-L students in inclusive settings attend regular schools and are educated in classes with regular students. In both settings, SEN-L students are not graded and taught based on individual learning goals, which may affect reciprocal effects between ASC and reading performance. In addition, given that special education for SEN-L students relies heavily on individual reference standards to evaluate performance, we tested individual performance growth of SEN-L students as a predictor of ASC. Analyses of a longitudinal dataset across 3rd and 4th grade revealed some cross-lagged effects and an effect of performance growth on ASC in exclusive settings in particular. The discussion focuses on the role of individualized instruction, grades, peer groups, and individual versus social reference standards for reciprocal effects between ASC and performance as well as practical implications.\r\n"}],"extern":"1","publication":"Learning and Individual Differences"},{"status":"public","volume":110,"user_id":"95559","_id":"34495","publisher":"Waxmann","page":"109-123","citation":{"ieee":"E. This paper explains a major architecture of this software platform, several important functionalities, which differentiate ESPnet from other open source ASR toolkits, and experimental results with\r\nmajor ASR benchmarks."}],"publication":"INTERSPEECH 2018, Hyderabad, India","doi":"10.21437/Interspeech.2018-1456","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"date_updated":"2023-01-11T11:23:19Z","title":"ESPnet: End-to-End Speech Processing Toolkit","year":"2018","author":[{"full_name":"Watanabe, Shinji","first_name":"Shinji","last_name":"Watanabe"},{"first_name":"Takaaki","last_name":"Hori","full_name":"Hori, Takaaki"},{"last_name":"Karita","first_name":"Shigeki","full_name":"Karita, Shigeki"},{"full_name":"Hayashi, Tomoki","last_name":"Hayashi","first_name":"Tomoki"},{"first_name":"Jiro","last_name":"Nishitoba","full_name":"Nishitoba, Jiro"},{"full_name":"Unno, Yuya","last_name":"Unno","first_name":"Yuya"},{"last_name":"Enrique Yalta Soplin","first_name":"Nelson","full_name":"Enrique Yalta Soplin, Nelson"},{"full_name":"Heymann, Jahn","last_name":"Heymann","first_name":"Jahn","id":"9168"},{"last_name":"Wiesner","first_name":"Matthew","full_name":"Wiesner, Matthew"},{"first_name":"Nanxin","last_name":"Chen","full_name":"Chen, Nanxin"},{"last_name":"Renduchintala","first_name":"Adithya","full_name":"Renduchintala, Adithya"},{"first_name":"Tsubasa","last_name":"Ochiai","full_name":"Ochiai, Tsubasa"}]},{"type":"book_chapter","department":[{"_id":"411"}],"oa":"1","date_created":"2023-01-12T07:36:16Z","place":"Bielefeld","publication":"Machine Learning – Medien, Infrastrukturen und Technologien der Künstlichen Intelligenz","citation":{"apa":"Weber, J. Economies of worth, Princeton University Press, Princeton, 2006). From 1999 to 2017, the criteria have been subject to continuous efforts of legitimation, especially by the German Länder, which are in charge of public higher education in Germany. The empirical analysis shows that industrial (e.g., ‘standardization’), civic (e.g., ‘gender justice and equal opportunities’), and civic-industrial (e.g., ‘employability’) codings are the core of accreditation criteria. The normativity of these criteria constitutes accreditation as a technical arrangement running (a) a structural program (e.g., qualifications of academic teachers, modularization of study programs, and quality management) and (b) a political program (e.g., diversity of students and system of studies). Based on the empirical analysis, it is concluded that X does not stand for the accreditation of quality X. X stands for the accreditation of X qualities for specific normative purposes via the higher education accreditation regime."}],"date_created":"2021-11-03T13:11:01Z","file":[{"file_id":"36562","content_type":"application/pdf","success":1,"file_name":"2018 Schneijderberg-Steinhardt Accreditation_of_X_Qualities in HEP.pdf","access_level":"closed","file_size":565829,"relation":"main_file","date_updated":"2023-01-13T10:01:42Z","date_created":"2023-01-13T10:01:42Z","creator":"isste"}],"department":[{"_id":"477"}],"type":"journal_article","author":[{"first_name":"Christian","last_name":"Schneijderberg","full_name":"Schneijderberg, Christian"},{"full_name":"Steinhardt, Isabel","first_name":"Isabel","last_name":"Steinhardt","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2590-6189","id":"90339"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["0952-8733","1740-3863"]},"title":"Accreditation of X Qualities Instead of Quality X: A Normative Analysis of Criteria of the German Higher Education Accreditation Regime","year":"2018","article_type":"original","date_updated":"2023-01-13T10:02:52Z","publication_status":"published","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://link.springer.com/article/10.1057/s41307-018-0111-y"}],"doi":"10.1057/s41307-018-0111-y"},{"type":"conference","oa":"1","department":[{"_id":"54"}],"date_created":"2019-07-30T14:35:15Z","quality_controlled":"1","related_material":{"link":[{"description":"Poster","url":"https://groups.uni-paderborn.de/nt/pubs/2018/INTERSPEECH_2018_Heitkaemper_Poster.pdf","relation":"supplementary_material"}]},"abstract":[{"lang":"eng","text":"This contribution presents a speech enhancement system for the CHiME-5 Dinner Party Scenario. The recently proposed Hidden Markov Model Variational Autoencoder (HMMVAE) allows a joint training of a neural network based feature extractor and a structured prior for the latent space given by a Hidden Markov Model. It has been shown that the HMMVAE significantly outperforms pure GMM-HMM based systems on the AUD task. However, the HMMVAE cannot autonomously infer the number of acoustic units and thus relies on the GMM-HMM system for initialization. This paper introduces the Bayesian Hidden Markov Model Variational Autoencoder (BHMMVAE) which solves these issues by embedding the HMMVAE in a Bayesian framework with a Dirichlet Process Prior for the distribution of the acoustic units, and diagonal or full-covariance Gaussians as emission distributions. Experiments on TIMIT and Xitsonga show that the BHMMVAE is able to autonomously infer a reasonable number of acoustic units, can be initialized without supervision by a GMM-HMM system, achieves computationally efficient stochastic variational inference by using natural gradient descent, and, additionally, improves the AUD performance over the HMMVAE.","lang":"eng"}],"related_material":{"link":[{"relation":"supplementary_material","url":"https://groups.uni-paderborn.de/nt/pubs/2018/INTERSPEECH_2018_Glarner_Slides.pdf","description":"Slides"}]},"quality_controlled":"1","date_created":"2019-07-12T05:30:34Z","oa":"1","department":[{"_id":"54"}],"type":"conference"},{"status":"public","volume":1,"user_id":"100856","_id":"49130","page":"58-82","citation":{"ama":"Philippi M. Using Raman spectroscopy for investigations requires a throughout understanding of the spectra and underlying mechanisms. For example, in the context of the common nonlinear materials, lithium niobate and potassium titanyl phosphate, no comprehensive understanding of the Raman spectra of the bulk materials is available, while the underlying mechanism of the domain wall contrast in Raman spectroscopy is not well understood. In this work, questions like these have been addressed in terms of systematic experimental investigations in close cooperation with density functional theory. In particular, it was possible to present a complete assignment of all phonons in the lithium niobate system, which serves as the basis for the understanding of the domain wall spectrum. Here, the domain wall spectrum can be explained with regard to microscopic structural effects, such as strains and electric fields, as well as a macroscopic change of selections rules. Both mechanisms are likewise present in the domain wall spectrum, while being present at different length scales. In the context of potassium titanyl phosphate the first throughout Raman investigations of domain structure, waveguides and periodically poled waveguides are presented. In the context of Rb-exchanged waveguides the change in stoichiometry, but also effects of strain are detected. Here, the Raman analysis provides a method to evaluate these effects.","lang":"eng"}],"citation":{"short":"M. Nevertheless, for certain downstream signal processing tasks it is important to compensate even for small sampling rate offsets. Aligning the sampling rates of oscillators which differ only by a few parts-per-million, is, however, challenging and quite different from traditional multirate signal processing tasks. In this paper we propose to transfer a precise but computationally demanding time domain approach, inspired by the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem, to an efficient frequency domain implementation. To this end a buffer control is employed which compensates for sampling offsets which are multiples of the sampling period, while a digital filter, realized by the wellknown Overlap-Save method, handles the fractional part of the sampling phase offset. With experiments on artificially misaligned data we investigate the parametrization, the efficiency, and the induced distortions of the proposed resampling method. It is shown that a favorable compromise between residual distortion and computational complexity is achieved, compared to other sampling rate offset compensation techniques.","lang":"eng"}],"main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://groups.uni-paderborn.de/nt/pubs/2018/Eusipco_2018_Schmalenstroeer_Paper.pdf"}],"_id":"11838","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"user_id":"460","status":"public","title":"Efficient Sampling Rate Offset Compensation - An Overlap-Save Based Approach","year":"2018","author":[{"id":"460","full_name":"Schmalenstroeer, Joerg","first_name":"Joerg","last_name":"Schmalenstroeer"},{"id":"242","full_name":"Haeb-Umbach, Reinhold","first_name":"Reinhold","last_name":"Haeb-Umbach"}],"date_updated":"2023-10-26T08:12:33Z"},{"author":[{"full_name":"Kitza, Markus","last_name":"Kitza","first_name":"Markus"},{"full_name":"Michel, Wilfried","first_name":"Wilfried","last_name":"Michel"},{"id":"40767","last_name":"Boeddeker","first_name":"Christoph","full_name":"Boeddeker, Christoph"},{"id":"27643","last_name":"Heitkaemper","first_name":"Jens","full_name":"Heitkaemper, Jens"},{"first_name":"Tobias","last_name":"Menne","full_name":"Menne, Tobias"},{"last_name":"Schlüter","first_name":"Ralf","full_name":"Schlüter, Ralf"},{"full_name":"Ney, Hermann","first_name":"Hermann","last_name":"Ney"},{"full_name":"Schmalenstroeer, Joerg","last_name":"Schmalenstroeer","first_name":"Joerg","id":"460"},{"full_name":"Drude, Lukas","first_name":"Lukas","last_name":"Drude","id":"11213"},{"first_name":"Jahn","last_name":"Heymann","full_name":"Heymann, Jahn","id":"9168"},{"first_name":"Reinhold","last_name":"Haeb-Umbach","full_name":"Haeb-Umbach, Reinhold","id":"242"}],"status":"public","year":"2018","title":"The RWTH/UPB System Combination for the CHiME 2018 Workshop","date_updated":"2023-10-26T08:12:14Z","_id":"11876","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"main_file_link":[{"open_access":"1","url":"https://groups.uni-paderborn.de/nt/pubs/2018/INTERSPEECH_2018_Heitkaemper_RWTH_Paper.pdf"}],"user_id":"460","citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Kitza_Michel_Boeddeker_Heitkaemper_Menne_Schlüter_Ney_Schmalenstroeer_Drude_Heymann_et al._2018, title={The RWTH/UPB System Combination for the CHiME 2018 Workshop}, booktitle={Proc. To reduce the communication demand with a central server and to raise the privacy level it is desirable to perform processing at node level. The limited processing and memory capabilities on a sensor node, however, stand in contrast to the compute and memory intensive deep learning algorithms used in modern speech and audio processing. In this work, we perform benchmarking of commonly used convolutional and recurrent neural network architectures on a Raspberry Pi based acoustic sensor node. We show that it is possible to run medium-sized neural network topologies used for speech enhancement and speech recognition in real time. For acoustic event recognition, where predictions in a lower temporal resolution are sufficient, it is even possible to run current state-of-the-art deep convolutional models with a real-time-factor of 0:11.","lang":"eng"}],"main_file_link":[{"url":"https://groups.uni-paderborn.de/nt/pubs/2018/ITG_2018_Ebbers_Paper.pdf","open_access":"1"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"_id":"11836","user_id":"460","status":"public","year":"2018","title":"Benchmarking Neural Network Architectures for Acoustic Sensor Networks","author":[{"full_name":"Ebbers, Janek","first_name":"Janek","last_name":"Ebbers","id":"34851"},{"id":"27643","full_name":"Heitkaemper, Jens","first_name":"Jens","last_name":"Heitkaemper"},{"last_name":"Schmalenstroeer","first_name":"Joerg","full_name":"Schmalenstroeer, Joerg","id":"460"},{"id":"242","first_name":"Reinhold","last_name":"Haeb-Umbach","full_name":"Haeb-Umbach, Reinhold"}],"date_updated":"2023-10-26T08:12:40Z"},{"abstract":[{"text":"It has been experimentally verified that sampling rate offsets (SROs) between the input channels of an acoustic beamformer have a detrimental effect on the achievable SNR gains. In this paper we derive an analytic model to study the impact of SRO on the estimation of the spatial noise covariance matrix used in MVDR beamforming. It is shown that a perfect compensation of the SRO is impossible if the noise covariance matrix is estimated by time averaging, even if the SRO is perfectly known. The SRO should therefore be compensated for prior to beamformer coefficient estimation. We present a novel scheme where SRO compensation and beamforming closely interact, saving some computational effort compared to separate SRO adjustment followed by acoustic beamforming.","lang":"eng"}],"quality_controlled":"1","citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Schmalenstroeer_Haeb-Umbach_2018, title={Insights into the Interplay of Sampling Rate Offsets and MVDR Beamforming}, booktitle={ITG 2018, Oldenburg, Germany}, author={Schmalenstroeer, Joerg and Haeb-Umbach, Reinhold}, year={2018} }","ama":"Schmalenstroeer J, Haeb-Umbach R.
