Thus, the chapters included in this book have discussed the role of agency in learning and development, considering a variety of working life contexts and applying both conceptual and empirical perspectives. This final chapter provides an overview of both the conceptual approaches and the empirical implementations. We see the perspectives as complementary. From the content of the book, we discern the phenomena as falling on two main dimensions, clustering at opposite ends of these dimensions. Thus, the following contrasts are evidenced: (a) agency understood as a personal capacity, vs. agency as behaviour, and (b) agency as an individual phenomenon, vs. agency as a collective phenomenon. All the chapters emphasise that agency is needed for learning and development. However, they differ in how they view the relationships between the concepts. They also exhibit differences in the empirical decisions taken and the research strategies chosen. In this concluding chapter, we discuss the main similarities and differences emerging from the chapters. The most common ontology for semantic data, schema.org, is supported by all major search engines and describes over 500 data types, including calendar events, recipes, products, and TV shows. As of today, users wishing to pass this data to their favorite applications, e.g., their calendars, cookbooks, price comparison applications or even smart devices such as TV receivers, rely on cumbersome and error-prone workarounds such as reentering the data or a series of copy and paste operations. In this paper, we present Semantic Data Mediator (SDM), an approach that allows the easy transfer of semantic data to a multitude of services, ranging from web services to applications installed on different devices. SDM extracts semantic data from the currently displayed web page on the client-side, offers suitable services to the user, and by the press of a button, forwards this data to the desired service while doing all the necessary data conversion and service interface adaptation in between. To realize this, we built a reusable repository of service descriptions, data converters, and service adapters, which can be extended by the crowd. Our approach for linking services to websites relies solely on semantic data and does not require any additional support by either website or service developers. The\r\ntask received five submissions for which this paper describes their evaluation\r\nand a comparison to state of the art baselines. Unlike previous work, we recast\r\nWikidata vandalism detection as an online learning problem, requiring\r\nparticipant software to predict vandalism in near real-time. The\r\nbest-performing approach achieves a ROC-AUC of 0.947 at a PR-AUC of 0.458. Konfirmatorische Faktorenanalysen zeigen eine 4-Komponenten-Struktur des subjektiven Wertes. Teilnahmeförderliche Wertüberzeugungen, die mithilfe von Items mit intrinsischer, utilitaristischer und persönlicher Ausrichtung erfasst wurden, lassen sich nach den Bezugspunkten Inhalt, Status als Teilnehmerin oder Teilnehmer und Abschluss untergliedern. Eine Kostenkomponente mit monetären und nicht-monetären Anteilen bildet einen eigenständigen Faktor. Der 4-faktorielle subjektive Wert lässt sich weiterhin von einem Bilanzwert abgrenzen, der ein Gesamturteil hinsichtlich der untersuchten Fortbildung reflektiert und primär von inhaltsbezogenen Wertkomponenten sowie der Kostenkomponente des Wertes vorhergesagt wird. Es zeigen sich professionsbezogene Unterschiede sowohl bei der Höhe der Werteinschätzungen als auch bei deren Zusammenspiel zur Bestimmung des Bilanzwertes. In order to adapt the 1D model of MPM to the 2D range-velocity spectrum and simultaneously limit the computational cost, some preprocessing steps are proposed to construct a novel separation algorithm. For this purpose, a statistical model of the relative velocity between a stationary target and the radar sensor has been developed. With respect to the statistical properties a confidence interval is calculated and targets with relative velocity lying outside this interval are classified as moving targets. Its extension, the so-called Structured VAE (SVAE) allows inference in the presence of both discrete and continuous latent variables. Inspired by this extension, we developed a VAE with Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) as latent models. We applied the resulting HMM-VAE to the task of acoustic unit discovery in a zero resource scenario. Starting from an initial model based on variational inference in an HMM with Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) emission probabilities, the accuracy of the acoustic unit discovery could be significantly improved by the HMM-VAE. In doing so we were able to demonstrate for an unsupervised learning task what is well-known in the supervised learning case: Neural networks provide superior modeling power compared to GMMs."}],"quality_controlled":"1","date_created":"2019-07-12T05:27:42Z","type":"conference","oa":"1","department":[{"_id":"54"}]}]
