text: We predict a variety of composite quiescent and spinning two- and three-dimensional
(2D and 3D) self-trapped modes in media with a repulsive nonlinearity whose local
strength grows from center to periphery. These are 2D dipoles and quadrupoles,
and 3D octupoles, as well as vortex–antivortex pairs and quadruplets. Unlike other
multidimensional models, where such complex bound states either do not exist or
are subject to strong instabilities, these modes are remarkably robust in the
present setting. The results are obtained by means of numerical methods and analytically,
using the Thomas–Fermi approximation. The predicted states may be realized in

text: This paper introduces Binary Acceleration At Runtime(BAAR), an easy-to-use
on-the-fly binary acceleration mechanismwhich aims to tackle the problem of enabling
existentsoftware to automatically utilize accelerators at runtime. BAARis based
on the LLVM Compiler Infrastructure and has aclient-server architecture. The client
runs the program to beaccelerated in an environment which allows program analysisand
profiling. Program parts which are identified as suitable forthe available accelerator
are exported and sent to the server. The server optimizes these program parts for
the acceleratorand provides RPC execution for the client. The client transformsits
program to utilize accelerated execution on the server foroffloaded program parts.
We evaluate our work with a proofof-concept implementation of BAAR that uses an
Intel XeonPhi 5110P as the acceleration target and performs automaticoffloading,
parallelization and vectorization of suitable programparts. The practicality of
BAAR for real-world examples is shownbased on a study of stencil codes. Our results
show a speedup ofup to 4 without any developer-provided hints and 5.77 withhints
over the same code compiled with the Intel Compiler atoptimization level O2 and
running on an Intel Xeon E5-2670machine. Based on our insights gained during implementationand
evaluation we outline future directions of research, e.g.,offloading more fine-granular
program parts than functions, amore sophisticated communication mechanism or introducing
    onstack-replacement.

text: Using ab initio computational methods, we study the structural and electronic
properties of strained silicon, which has emerged as a promising technology to
    improve the performance of silicon-based metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect
transistors. In particular, higher electron mobilities are observed in n-doped
samples with monoclinic strain along the [110] direction, and experimental evidence
relates this to changes in the effective mass as well as the scattering rates.
To assess the relative importance of these two factors, we combine density-functional
theory in the local-density approximation with the GW approximation for the electronic
self-energy and investigate the effect of uniaxial and biaxial strains along the
[110] direction on the structural and electronic properties of Si. Longitudinal
and transverse components of the electron effective mass as a function of the
strain are derived from fits to the quasiparticle band structure and a diagonalization
of the full effective-mass tensor. The changes in the effective masses and the
energy splitting of the conduction-band valleys for uniaxial and biaxial strains
as well as their impact on the electron mobility are analyzed. The self-energy
corrections within GW lead to band gaps in excellent agreement with experimental
measurements and slightly larger effective masses than in the local-density approximation.

text: We present radiation mechanism exhibited by a higher order soliton. In a course
of its evolution the higher-order soliton emits polychromatic radiation resulting
in formation of multipeak frequency comb-like spectral band. The shape and spectral
position of this band can be effectively controlled by the relative strength of
the third order dispersion. An analytical description is corroborated by numerical
simulations. It is shown that for longer pulses the described effect persists
also under the action of higher order perturbations such as Raman and self-steepening.

in inklusiven Schulen der Sekundarstufe I systematisch untersucht.

text: 'Network appliances perform different functions on network flows and constitute
an important part of an operator’s network. Normally, a set of chained network
functions process network flows. Following the trend of virtualization of networks,
virtualization of the network functions has also become a topic of interest. We
define a model for formalizing the chaining of network functions using a context-free
language. We process deployment requests and construct virtual network function
graphs that can be mapped to the network. We describe the mapping as a Mixed Integer
Quadratically Constrained Program (MIQCP) for finding the placement of the network
functions and chaining them together considering the limited network resources
and requirements of the functions. We have performed a Pareto set analysis to
investigate the possible trade-offs between different optimization objectives. '

text: This paper focuses on the first step in combining prescriptive analytics with
scenario techniques in order to provide strategicdevelopment after the useof InSciTe,
a data prescriptive analytics application. InSciTe supports the improvement of
researchers‘ individual performance by recommending new research directions. Standardized
influential factors are presented as a foundation for automated scenario modelling
such as the prototypical report generation function of InSciTe. Additionally,
a use-case is shown which validatesthe potential of the standardized influential
    factors for raw scenario development.

text: 'In this paper, we describe our system developed for the GErman SenTiment
AnaLysis shared Task (GESTALT) for participation in the Maintask 2: Subjective
Phrase and Aspect Extraction from Product Reviews. We present a tool, which identifies
subjective and aspect phrases in German product reviews. For the recognition of
subjective phrases, we pursue a lexicon-based approach. For the extraction of
aspect phrases from the reviews, we consider two possible ways: Besides the subjectivity
and aspect look-up, we also implemented a method to establish which subjective
phrase belongs to which aspect. The system achieves better results for the recognition
of aspect phrases than for the subjective identification.'

text: In this paper, we present a system which makes scientific data available following
the linked open data principle using standards like RDF and URI as well as the
popular D2R server (D2R) and the customizable D2RQ mapping language. Our scientific
data sets include acronym data and expansions, as well as researcher data such
as author name, affiliation, coauthors, and abstracts. The system can easily be
extended to other records. Regarding this, a domain adaptation to patent mining
seems possible. For this reason, obvious similarities and differences are presented
here. The data set is collected from several different providers like publishing
houses and digital libraries, which follow different standards in data format
and structure. Most of them are not supporting semantic web technologies, but
the legacy HTML standard. The integration of these large amounts of scientific
data into the Semantic Web is challenging and it needs flexible data structures
to access this information and interlink them. Based on these data sets, we will
be able to derive a general technology trend as well as the individual research
domain for each researcher. The goal of our Linked Open Data System for scientific
data is to provide access to this data set for other researchers using the Web
of Linked Data. Furthermore we implemented an application for visualization, which
allows usto explorethe relations between single data sets.
