Die Trennleistung von Füllkörperkolonnen wird üblicherweise mittels vereinfachter Stufenmodelle ermittelt, deren Modellparameter experimentell bestimmt werden müssen. Dies stellt eine große Schwäche von Stufenmodellen dar, da diese Parameterim Allgemeinen nicht auf verschiedene Stoffsysteme und Füllkörpertypen übertragbar sind.In dieser Arbeit wird ein Modell, basierend auf dem hydrodynamischen Analogieansatz, zur Beschreibung von Absorptionsvorgängen in Füllkörperkolonnen vorgestellt. Dabei ist die Geometrie der festen Phase direkt abhängig von der Füllkörpergeometrie und der Stochastik der Schüttung. Die tatsächlichen Strömungsverhältnisse in Füllkörperkolonnen werden erfasst und durch eine Kombination vereinfachter charakteristischer Strömungsformen reproduziert. Dies erlaubt die Verwendung rigoroser Transportgleichung. Dadurch enthält das Modell weniger experimentell zu ermittelnde Parameter und ist damit unabhängiger von Experimenten als vereinfachte Stufenmodelle. Das Modell wurde gegen experimentelle Daten zur CO2-Absorption in wässrige Natronlauge validiert. Mit dem entwickelten Modell wurde anschließend eine Parameterstudie durchgeführt, die der Unterstützung der Entwicklung neuer Füllkörpergeometrien dient. Dazu wurde eine Simulationsstudie durchgeführt, die den Einfluss der Füllkörpergeometrie auf die Trennleistung untersucht."},{"text":"Random packings play an important role in industrial separation processes, e.g., for the removal of pollutants from industrial off-gases by absorption. The separation characteristics are commonly predicted by simplified stage models. Such models employ several parameters which have to be determined by experiments. This represents a major weakness of stage models, as, generally, these parameters are not directly transferable to different chemical systems or packing types. In this work, a model based on the hydrodynamic analogy approach is presented to describe absorption processes in packed columns. The geometry of the solid phase is directly dependent on the packing element geometry and the stochasticity of the packing. The actual fluid dynamics in packed columns are captured and reproduced by a combination of simplified characteristic flow patterns. This allows the application of rigorous transport equations. Hence, the model contains fewer parameters to be determined experimentally and is therefore more independent of experiments than simplified stage models. The model was validated against experimental data on CO2 absorption into aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. The developed model was used to support the development of new packing types by \"virtual experiments\".
